A man from the US says he built the world’s smallest house. It is only 1.8 square metres. That is really small! If you are tall, your feet may hang out of the door when you lie down (躺下).
The man’s name is Levi Kelly. He is 27 years old and lives in Ohio. He built the house on a trailer (拖车), so he could move it easily. Levi thinks no other house is smaller and can also be used.
Inside the small house, there is a bed, a place to sit and a little kitchen. There is also a toilet, but it has to be used outside. The shower is outside too.
Levi already had the trailer and then he spent about $5,000 building the house. In an online video, he shows how to get into the bed that folds (折叠) down from the roof (屋顶). Clearly, it takes a lot of time to lie down in such a small space.
Levi built this small house, but he isn’t ready to live in it all the time. He wants to use it for camping (露营). There may be a problem, anyway. Levi has a family with two young children now, and he’s not sure if they would all fit in the small house on a trip.

Guo Yingxiong is a 58-year-old artist from Jiangxi. For over 40 years, he has made beautiful storybooks from bamboo. This is called bamboo carving, an old Chinese art form.
When Guo was 12, his grandfather gave him his first knife. “I cut my fingers many times,” he says. He practised every day, starting with easy things like leaves, then harder pictures.
Now, Guo’s carvings show old Chinese life. For example, one shows a market: people selling tea, children playing, and farmers with vegetables. The details are so vivid that you can almost hear the market noises.
Bamboo carving is very old in China. In the Ming Dynasty, people put these carvings in their rooms. “Bamboo is strong. It bends easily but never breaks, as people should be,” Guo says. “These carvings help us remember our history and traditions.”
Every morning, Guo picks bamboo in the forest. “Good bamboo grows slowly, like good art,” he tells students. He teaches young artists, “I made 100 bad carvings before a good one. Mistakes are okay.”

“Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise.” This is an old English saying. It means that we should go to bed early at night and get up early in the morning. If we do, we shall be healthy, rich and smart.
Is this true? Maybe it is. The body must have enough sleep. Children at the age of six to fourteen need at least nine hours’ sleep every night. If you go to bed late, you can’t have enough sleep. Then you can’t think carefully. You will not be smart and you may not be healthy!

When the daylight comes, we should get up. This is the time for exercise. If the body is not used, people will be in bad health. Exercise can keep it strong, so we should do some exercise regularly.
Exercise helps the blood (血液) to move around in the body. Blood takes food to all parts of our bodies. The brain in our heads also needs blood. We think with our brain. If we keep our bodies healthy, and take exercise often, we can think better.
