三、阅读理解(共25小题;每小题2分,满分 50分)
阅读下列短文,从每小题所给的四个选项中,选出一个最佳选项
A
Modern teenage life is full of study tasks and various after-school classes, which makes many middle school students ignore their physical health. A recent survey shows that over 60 percent of Chinese teenagers lack regular physical exercise, and many of them have sub-health problems, such as frequent fatigue, poor sleep quality and low immunity. Doctors point out that keeping good physical health is the basic guarantee of efficient study and healthy growth, and teenagers should develop scientific living habits.
Sleep is the first key to physical health. During adolescence, teenagers’ bodies and brains are in a critical growth stage, which requires enough sleep to recover energy. Experts suggest that middle school students should sleep no less than eight hours every night. However, most students stay up late to finish homework or browse mobile phones, leading to insufficient sleep. Long-term lack of sleep will not only make students feel sleepy and unfocused in class, but also affect physical development and memory ability.
Balanced diet is another important part of physical health. Nowadays, many teenagers prefer fast food, fried snacks and sugary drinks to vegetables and fruits. Unhealthy eating habits cause nutritional imbalance, leading to obesity or physical weakness. Nutritionists advise teenagers to keep a regular three-meal diet, eat more fresh vegetables, fruits and high-protein food, and reduce intake of oily, sweet and junk food. A scientific diet can provide enough nutrition for daily study and physical growth.
Apart from sleep and diet, proper daily activity is also essential. It does not mean doing intense sports deliberately. Simple daily movements, such as walking after meals, climbing stairs instead of taking elevators and stretching during class breaks, can effectively activate the body, promote blood circulation and relieve physical fatigue. Even 15 to 20 minutes of mild activity every day can greatly improve physical condition in the long run.
Good health is the most precious wealth for teenagers. Study is important, but it should never come at the cost of physical health. Only by keeping sufficient sleep, balanced diet and daily proper exercise can teenagers maintain good physical condition, face heavy study tasks with full energy and grow up healthily and happily.
46. What problem do most teenagers face according to the survey?
A. They have too little homework.
B. They suffer from sub-health due to lack of exercise.
C. They have no time to take after-school classes.
D. They know much about healthy living habits.
47. What is the required sleeping time for middle school students every night?
A. At least 8 hours. B. At least 6 hours. C. Less than 8 hours. D. More than 10 hours.
48. What is the disadvantage of eating too much junk food?
A. It helps students grow taller.
B. It causes nutritional imbalance and health problems.
C. It improves students’ learning ability.
D. It makes students full of energy.
49. Which of the following daily activity is good for health?
A. Staying in the classroom all day.
B. Taking elevators all the time.
C. Walking for a while after dinner.
D. Browsing phones during breaks.
50. What is the best title of the passage?
A. How to Improve Students’ Grades
B. The Importance of Balanced Diet
C. Scientific Ways to Keep Teenagers Healthy
D. The Harm of Staying Up Late
B
During the last Spring Festival holiday, I took a five-day trip to Pingxiang with my family. It was my first time to visit the western city of Jiangxi, and it brought me completely new and wonderful travel experiences. Pingxiang is famous for its fresh air, unique mountain scenery and simple folk customs, and it is a quiet and beautiful tourist city far from the noise of big cities.
The most impressive place I visited is Wugong Mountain, the landmark scenic spot of Pingxiang. Different from the steep and dangerous mountains I had visited before, Wugong Mountain is famous for its vast alpine meadows and sea of clouds. We climbed the mountain on a sunny morning. At the foot of the mountain, we saw green forests and clear streams. As we climbed higher, dense grass spread all over the mountain top, like a huge green carpet covering the peaks. Standing on the top of the mountain, we overlooked the rolling mountains and floating clouds, feeling extremely relaxed.
Besides natural scenery, I also experienced local folk culture in Pingxiang. We visited an ancient village with a history of hundreds of years. The ancient houses with black tiles and white walls kept the traditional architectural style of Jiangxi. Local villagers made traditional New Year snacks by hand, such as rice cakes and crispy candies. I tried to make rice cakes under the guidance of local elders. Although my work was not perfect, I felt the warmth of traditional festival culture. The local people were kind and hospitable, and they shared their homemade food with us warmly.
During the trip, I also found the ecological environment of Pingxiang extremely excellent. There is little industrial pollution in this city. The sky is blue, the air is fresh, and rivers are clear all year round. Every morning, we could hear birds singing and smell the fragrance of plants. Unlike the fast-paced life in the city, life here is slow and peaceful, which made me calm down and enjoy the beauty of nature.
This trip to Pingxiang was short but meaningful. It not only allowed me to enjoy stunning natural scenery and experience traditional folk culture, but also helped me relax from busy study life. I learned to appreciate the beauty around me and cherish every precious leisure time. I hope I can visit this beautiful city again in different seasons to see its different scenery.

To enrich residents’ spare time and build a warm community, my community holds various seasonal public activities all year round. These regular activities connect neighbors closely, break the cold neighborhood relationship in modern society and bring warmth and vitality to the whole community. Last season, I took part in two wonderful community activities and gained a lot.
In spring, our community organized a “Green Community Planting Activity”. The activity aimed to advocate green life and improve the community’s ecological environment. On the activity day, dozens of resident families gathered in the community’s idle green belt. Community staff prepared young saplings, shovels and watering tools for us. Under the guidance of professional gardeners, adults dug pits, planted saplings and fixed the soil, while children watered the young trees gently. Every family hung a small wooden brand with their names and blessing words on the trees, hoping the trees would grow up healthily with the community.
After the planting activity, all residents took a group photo together. During the activity, neighbors communicated with each other freely, shared planting skills and talked about daily life. Many neighbors who had lived nearby for years but never talked became familiar with each other. The empty green belt soon became a neat and beautiful small forest, making the community environment fresher and more beautiful.
In early summer, the community held a “Neighborhood Sharing Market”. Residents were encouraged to bring their idle books, toys, handmade works and small daily items to the market. Instead of selling things for money, we exchanged items with neighbors for free. I brought my idle storybooks and successfully exchanged them for a set of interesting science popularization books. Many children exchanged toys and played together happily. Meanwhile, some elderly residents taught children to make handmade crafts on site, creating a warm and harmonious atmosphere.
These community activities are simple but meaningful. They not only beautify the living environment and realize the reuse of idle resources, but also shorten the distance between neighbors. In the past, neighbors only passed by each other silently. Now, we are familiar and warm like a big family. I look forward to more colorful community activities in the future.

A. To make money for the community.
B. To enrich residents’ life and warm neighborhood.

A. Dug pits and fixed soil.
B. Watered the young saplings.

A. Residents exchanged idle items for free.
B. People sold expensive new goods.

A. Useless and tiring. B. Difficult and boring.

Nowadays, more and more middle schools encourage students to take part in social practice internships during holidays. Different from classroom study, social internship allows teenagers to step out of campus, contact society closely, exercise their comprehensive abilities and accumulate precious life experience. Last winter vacation, I took part in a one-week social internship at a local community service center, which brought me great growth.
Before the internship, I was a little nervous and worried. I used to spend most of my time studying at school and had little experience of communicating with strangers. I was afraid that I could not finish my work well. However, the staff of the community service center were very patient and friendly. They gave me systematic pre-job training, teaching me basic service skills, communication manners and work processes. They told me that internship is a process of learning and growing, and there was no need to fear making mistakes.
During the one-week internship, I was responsible for several simple but important work. I helped sort out community resident files, register resident information and organize daily service materials. I also assisted staff in answering resident consultation calls and recording residents’ daily demands. When the community carried out elderly service activities, I followed the staff to visit elderly residents, help them sort out rooms and listen to their daily troubles. Every simple work made me learn to be careful, patient and responsible.
This internship changed me a lot. In the past, I was shy and afraid of communicating with others. After continuous communication with residents and staff, I became more confident and outgoing. I also learned to arrange my work reasonably and solve small problems independently. More importantly, I truly understood the meaning of social service. Every ordinary job needs carefulness and persistence, and every worker is worthy of respect.
Social internship is a valuable lesson outside the classroom. It helps teenagers connect book knowledge with real life, improve practical abilities and shape good personalities. I believe that holiday social practice is an indispensable part of teenage growth, and I will take part in more meaningful social internships in the future.

阅读下列短文,从每小题所给的四个选项中,选出一个最佳选项

B. They suffer from sub-health due to lack of exercise.

D. They know much about healthy living habits.

A. It helps students grow taller.
B. It causes nutritional imbalance and health problems.
C. It improves students’ learning ability.
D. It makes students full of energy.
49. Which of the following daily activity is good for health?
A. Staying in the classroom all day.

I’m glad to receive your letter. You asked me about a good place for a short trip on weekends. Here I’d like to recommend my hometown Nanchang to you.
Nanchang is a beautiful city with fresh air and nice weather all year round. There are many famous places of interest, such as Tengwang Pavilion and Qiushui Square. You can enjoy wonderful river views and take lots of photos here. Besides, there are many delicious local snacks. They taste really special and popular among visitors.
I believe you will have a great time if you come. I hope you can visit Nanchang soon.
Yours,
Li Hua
