When you read a book, you can use your imagination(想象力). How can you use your imagination well?
You can picture what the characters look like. You can also think about where the story happens. Imagining is fun. Later, when you watch the film of the book, you can compare your ideas with the director's. This is always interesting. For example, I read The Lord of the Rings first. I had many wonderful images in my head. Later, I watched the films. The director is Peter Jackson. Some parts were different from my imagination. But it was okay.His ideas were so good that I wasn't disappointed.
But if you watch the film first, you can't use your own imagination. You just see things as the film presents them. I think this is a shame(让人遗憾的事).
