一、阅读理解(5题)
Inventions are around us every day. In a vocational school in Changsha, students in an information technology class were asked to introduce an invention that changed their study life. Most students talked about the tablet. They said it helped them read e-books, draw pictures, take notes and watch learning videos. A quiet student named Chen Hao chose paper. He said paper looked simple, but it helped people record and share ideas for hundreds of years.
Chen Hao prepared carefully for his talk. He learned that Cai Lun improved the method of paper-making in ancient China. Before paper became common, recording information was not easy. People used many different materials, but some were heavy and some were expensive. Paper made knowledge easier to keep and pass on. Because of this, more people could learn, write and communicate.
After the talk, the class discussed what makes an invention important. Their teacher said an important invention does not always look exciting. It should solve real problems and make life better. The students then planned to design small tools for their school, such as a card holder for the library and a simple app for class notices. They learned that ordinary students could also create helpful things if they observed life carefully.
