Apple logo is one of the most familiar icons (图标) around the world. But what is the story about the Apple logo? Actually the first Apple logo was designed by Ron Wayne, co-founder of Apple Computer. It was rather a picture than a logo. It showed Sir Isaac Newton sitting beneath the famous apple tree thinking about gravity (地心引力). It was only used for the Apple Ⅰ.
Steve Jobs felt that it was too intellectual and it was almost impossible to put on computers as one could only recognize the details of the drawing when it was large enough. Therefore, in 1977 Jobs asked the art designer Rob Janoff to design the new Apple logo. The new logo had a simple shape of an apple, bitten into, with the colors of the rainbow in the wrong order.
The image of the apple is obvious, because that is the name of the company. What about the bite? The famous story is that the logo shows respect and honor for Alan Turing. He was the father of computer science. He researched artificial intelligence and unlocked German wartime codes (密码). However, after the war, he was put into prison because of his beliefs. He could not stand the discrimination (歧视) and chose to bite a poisoned apple to end his life in the prison. However, Rob Janoff, who designed the famous Apple logo, said,” It is not the truth, but only a legend (传说). The real reason why I designed it with a bite is very simple. I wants people to get that it was an apple, not a cherry.
Are you kidding? An apple is much bigger than a cherry. It’s very easy to tell. But if you use an apple to design a logo, some people may mistake it for a cherry. And the bite symbolized knowledge (in the Bible the apple was the fruit of the tree of knowledge) and the bite could also be pronounced “byte”, a reference to computer technology.
66.Who designed the first Apple logo?
A.Steven Jobs. B.Alan Turing.

D.was the founder of a computer company
70.What’s the purpose of this passage about the Apple logo?

If you are looking for a simple place to stay for a few nights, a capsule (胶囊) hotel might be a good choice. Providing small rooms and just a few basic services, these hotels can help people save lots of money.

Good afternoon, everyone. Today I’m here to introduce a new English learning app that can help you improve your language skills. As we all know, many students find it difficult to practice oral English because they don’t have enough conversation partners. This app solves that problem by offering real-life conversation situations, such as ordering food in a restaurant, asking for directions, and having casual chats with native speakers. The app is not free, but it’s very affordable. For students, we have a special discount — you can get a 30% off if you sign up this month. What’s more, the app provides personalized learning plans based on your English level. You can set your own learning goals and track your progress easily.
To encourage you to use the app regularly, we have a point system. You can get extra points by completing daily tasks, like listening to English news or practicing dialogues. These points can be exchanged for English learning materials, such as textbooks and audio books. If you have any questions about the app, please feel free to ask me after the speech.

C.Rob Janoff. D.Ron Wayne.
67.What does “byte” mean?
A.咬 B.字节 C.有毒 D.智慧

C.was put into prison during the war
D.was the founder of a computer company
70.What’s the purpose of this passage about the Apple logo?

Each day we produce oxygen (氧气) and remove harmful gas so that you have clean air. We help prevent the earth’s soil from being washed away and above all we give all kinds of fruits as well as wood to you.
We like the world and we like you human beings. We would do anything for you. But you’ve never been interested in us. You hardly know anything about us. Do you know we trees are communicating with each other all the time? Some of us pass nutrients (养分) and water around by joining our roots (树根) together underground.
We are now in great danger because of you. You are destroying us at high speeds. You are burning and cutting down millions of us each year, but you’re not planting enough. Without us, you wouldn’t have enough materials for buildings and furniture, air pollution and noise pollution would become more and more serious. Please stop destroying us and start protecting the environment, because we are the best fighters against pollution and we are your best friends!
