(12分) Answer the questions (根据短文内容回答问题) Food for Thought “Cooking is love made visible. ” That is what my grandmother always told me. Thanks to her, I love cooking. In Chinese culture, cooking is not just about making food taste good — it’s also about caring for people. It’s a great way for me to share my love with others. Every time I sit at the table, after cooking for my family, we create happy memories. The warm smells, the gentle flavours, and our conversations connect us to each other. What wonderful memories I have! One of my favourite memories is my grandmother’s nourishing congee (养生粥). She always made it in autumn, when the weather got colder. Her warm kitchen was the perfect place to enjoy a bowl of comfort. She told me that autumn is a time to “warm our bodies and comfort our stomachs,” and congee is just right for that. Her favourite autumn congee was filled with all kinds of fine and nourishing ingredients. She said those soft chestnuts help keep our stomachs warm, sweet red dates (红枣) give us energy, and bright goji berries help our eyes feel strong. The sweet, nutty smell filled the whole house, making us feel safe and loved. Now, every time I smell warm congee, I think of my grandmother. My grandmother learned this congee recipe from her own mother. Many years later, she taught me how to make it too. She showed me how to wash the rice, soak the chestnuts, and stir the pot slowly so the congee becomes soft and smooth. She even changed the recipe a little for different seasons — adding lotus seeds in summer or walnuts in winter, to keep our bodies feeling good all year round. My grandmother loved learning about food from different cultures, but she always said the best cooking comes from the heart. “Whether you make congee or a pie,” she told me, “cook with care, and it is the taste of ‘ ________’. ” Thanks to my grandmother, I love to try new recipes, and I always remember to make food that warms both the body and the heart. 58.
