I know how it feels because I am on the basketball team. I think it was really bad when your team member did not try his best. You should tell him team work is important. If you play, play well.

I understand why you were angry with your teammate. A successful team needs everyone’s hard work. Next time in the same situation, try to talk with your team member. What’s more, always remember: think first. When filled with anger, you would say whatever comes to your mind. And you might hurt others.

What are the classrooms in the future like? At first, I think future classrooms are just common rooms with blackboards and desks.
Later, I learn about new ideas. I hear about big interactive screens (交互式屏幕) on the walls. Teachers will use these screens for lessons. After class, students can talk with people in other cities or countries. Every student will also have an interactive desk with a screen. They will read books, do homework, and talk with friends on it. This sounds very exciting, and I become very interested.
There are also VR glasses in future classrooms. Students can wear them and visit different places without leaving the classroom. When studying natural sciences, they can “step into” a rainforest or a deep sea. They will not only read about knowledge in books, but also “experience” it personally.
Future classrooms have lots of possibilities (可能性), and they’ll make learning interesting for everyone.
12. How does the writer start the passage?
A. By asking a question. B. By giving a number. C. By telling a story.
13. How many new things are there in the future classrooms?
A. Two. B. Three. C. Four.
14. What will students do on their interactive desks according to the passage?
①Do homework. ②Watch movies. ③Read books. ④Talk with friends.
A. ①②③ B. ①③④ C. ②③④
15. What’s the best title of the passage?

We often say that we should live “in the moment”, enjoying what we are doing right now—perhaps by looking at the world around us or focusing on just one thing at a time. However, it’s very simple to spend time thinking about the future. Experts say that this can be good for us, too—especially when we’re thinking about the holidays we’d like to take!
Long before you pack your bags, get on a plane or put your feet in the sea, thinking about your holiday can have a good effect (影响) on your mind. Expert Matthew Killingsworth did research on this subject. “We spend a lot of our mental lives living in the future,” he said.
Looking to the future can make us happy if we know that good things are coming. As Killingsworth said, “Travel is an especially good thing to look forward to.” He says that we can start enjoying a trip as soon as we start planning it. We know that vacations are short, so we enjoy every moment of them, even before they start.
Even if you don’t have a holiday coming up, searching online for places to visit and things to see can make you happy. Picturing your future trip will make you look forward to all the fun you’re going to have.
One thing that doesn’t feel so good, however, is the end of the holiday.
16. What does the underlined word “simple” in Paragraph 1 mean?
A. Easy. B. Wrong. C. Safe.
17. Why does planning a trip make people happy?
A. Because it stops travel problems.
B. Because it saves money and time.
C. Because it brings hope for future fun.
18. Which of the following best shows the structure (结构) of the text?
A. ①/②/③④⑤ B. ①②/③④/⑤ C. ①/②③④/⑤
19. What is the main idea of the text?
A. Why holidays often end sadly.
B. How planning holidays brings happiness.
C. Why vacations are short but fun.
D
In our daily lives, we communicate in different forms. One of the most common ways is face-to-face communication. When we talk to our friends, family, or teachers in person, we can see their facial (面部的) expressions, body language, and hear the tone of their voices. This helps us understand not only the words they say but also the emotions (情绪) on their faces. For example, a big smile on someone’s face usually means they are happy. When we’re sharing exciting news with a friend over coffee, a face-to-face communication makes the moment even more special.
Another form of communication is through social media. Platforms like social media apps and email allow us to chat with people far away. We can share photos, videos, and ideas easily. However, we can’t see the real-time reactions of the other person. For example, when we post a funny story on our social media page, we have to wait for likes and comments to know how others feel.
Phone calls are also popular. We can have a quick conversation when we are busy. But sometimes, it’s hard to express complex ideas over the phone. For example, when we need to explain a detailed plan to a colleague (同事), a phone call might not be enough.
In short, each form of communication has its own advantages (优点) and disadvantages. We should choose the right one according to different situations.
20. What is one of the most common forms of communication according to the passage?
A. Through social media. B. Through phone calls. C. Face-to-face communication.
21. What does the underlined word “Platforms” mean in Para.2?
A. 演说 B. 地点 C. 平台
22. Which is TRUE according to the passage?
A. It’s very easy to express complex ideas through phone calls.
B. Each form of communication has its own advantages and disadvantages.
C. If you want to talk with people far away, you can only use platforms.
23. What can we infer from the passage?
A. Phone calls are not useful at all at present.
B. Social media is the best way to communicate.
C. We should choose right communication forms based on situations.

例文
The Life in the Future
Hello everyone! I’m glad to share my ideas about the life in the future.
In the future, robots will help us do housework such as cleaning cooking and washing. We will eat healthy food grown by machines. Cars will fly in the sky, so traffic won’t be heavy. However, pollution might be a problem. We should plant more trees and use less energy to protect the earth.
I believe our life will be better and easier. Let’s work hard to make our dreams come true! Thank you!
