Once upon a time, there was a shopkeeper who lived in a village far away from the city. Every day, he bought one kilogram of butter from a villager. The shopkeeper had been buying butter from that man for many years.
One day, the shopkeeper thought to himself, “I have been buying butter from this man for so long, but I haven’t checked its weight in ages. I should check tomorrow to make sure he gives me no less than a kilo.” Next day, when the villager brought the butter, the shopkeeper weighed it and found that it was only 900 grams. He became very angry and went straight to the village council (委员会) to complain.
Council gathered and told the villager, “This shopkeeper has accused you of cheating him. He says you’ve been giving him only 900 grams of butter instead of a full kilogram. Do you have anything to say in your defense? ”
Villager replied, “Respected Sarpanch, I am a poor man and don’t have proper weights for my scale. Every day, I buy one kilogram of wheat from this very shopkeeper, and the next day, I use that same wheat as a weight to measure the butter I sell to him. So if the weight is wrong, you should ask the shopkeeper about it.”
Everyone in the council immediately understood the truth. They realized who was at fault and expelled the dishonest shopkeeper from the village.

Have you ever wondered why some paintings, buildings or music feel so beautiful? The answer may be the golden ratio (比率), a special math ratio of about 1:1.618. If a line is divided into two parts, the ratio of the whole line to the longer part equals the longer part to the shorter one. Discovered by ancient math experts, it has been widely used in different fields for centuries.
In architecture, the golden ratio is key to creating harmonious (和谐的) buildings. The Parthenon in Greece, a famous ancient temple, is a perfect example. Its height, width and even the distance between columns (柱子) all follow the golden ratio, making the building look balanced and pleasing to the eye. Many modern buildings, such as the United Nations Headquarters in New York, also use this ratio in their design.
Painters have long used the golden ratio to make their works more attractive. Leonardo da Vinci, one of history’s greatest painters, used it in Mona Lisa. The position of her face, eyes and smile all follow the golden ratio, which makes her expression look so natural and charming. Similarly, The Last Supper uses this ratio to arrange figures and objects in the picture.
Surprisingly, the golden ratio exists in music too. Great composers like Mozart and Beethoven used it to structure their music. For example, in a Mozart sonata (奏鸣曲), the ratio of the first part’s length to the whole piece is about 1:1.618, making the music flow smoothly and sound pleasant. Even the number of notes in some melodies follows this special ratio.
Nature is the best user. Sunflower seeds form two spiral sets (两组螺旋) with a special sequence.
Roses and lilies have 3,5,8 or 13 petals—numbers in this sequence. Plant stems grow this way to get more sunlight.
From math to art, buildings to nature, the golden ratio connects different fields. It shows beauty has a math basis. Next time you see something beautiful, maybe you’ll find the golden ratio hidden in it.

根据Steps第1步中“Wash the bamboo leaves and cook them in water for 2 minutes.”

根据第二段“make sure he gives me no less than a kilo”和“found that it was only 900 grams”可知,一公斤等于1000克,1000克减去900克,每次少了100克。
根据第四段村民的回答“I use that same wheat as a weight to measure the butter I sell to him”可知,村民是用从店主那里买来的小麦作为砝码来称黄油的。
根据第五段“expelled the dishonest shopkeeper from the village”可知,店主被迫离开了村庄。
文章最后一段点明主旨“we eventually face the consequences of our own actions.”。
C

第一段“Have you ever wondered why some paintings, buildings or music feel so beautiful? The answer may be the golden ratio...”,通过提问引发读者好奇,自然引出黄金比例这一主题,所以作者以问句开头是为了“用有趣的方式引入话题”。
根据第一段定义:“If a line is divided into two parts, the ratio of the whole line to the longer part equals the longer part to the shorter one.”,设全长L,长段A,短段B,即L/A = A/B。
第四段只说贝多芬“used it to structure their music”,但未具体提到他的交响乐结构,因此C不是文中提到的例子。
第五段划线句“Nature is the best user.”
全文从黄金比例的定义出发,分别讲述其在建筑、绘画、音乐和自然中的应用,最后总结“From math to art, buildings to nature, the golden ratio connects different fields.”,因此主旨是黄金比例及其在不同领域的用途。

Have your friends been talking about “raising a lobster” lately? No, not the seafood — they are talking about OpenClaw, the hottest new AI tool.
OpenClaw was created by Peter Steinberger, a programmer from Austria.___16___ That means developers worldwide can help improve it. OpenClaw is an AI “agent” that can operate your mouse and keyboard, like a super personal assistant in your computer. ___17___ So people call it “xiaolongxia,” and using it is jokingly called “raising a lobster.”
What makes it special? Unlike ChatGPT, which can advise but can’t do things for us, OpenClaw actually gets things done. ___18___ You can wake up to a message about your top tasks without even asking.
But there are risks. OpenClaw needs high-level access to your computer. One AI expert’s OpenClaw forgot its instructions and started deleting all her emails ___19___ In February, important user data was put online without telling people. Hackers could use it to control users’ computers.
The ability of this technology is amazing, but its risks can be dangerous. ___20___ Next time you hear about “raising a lobster,” remember to weigh the benefits against the dangers.

选项D中提到“He made it free for developers around the world to use and improve” (他让它免费供世界各地的开发者使用和改进),与空后的“developers worldwide can help improve it”形成直接的因果对应关系。

选项E列举了具体能做的事:“send emails, buy plane tickets, and even learn your daily tasks” (发邮件、买机票、学习日常任务),承接了“gets things done”,并引出后文的“tasks”。
选项C说“What’s worse, OpenClaw can also put your personal data in danger” (更糟糕的是,它也会让你的个人数据处于危险中),起到了承上启下的作用,从删除邮件的风险过渡到数据泄露的风险。
选项B说“That’s why it’s wise to learn about the risks before using it” (这就是为什么在使用前了解风险是明智的),是对前文风险的总结建议,并自然引出最后一句关于权衡利弊的提醒。
