In 2012, a big change happened to Jimmy Augustin. He went blind. Because of this, he had to give up his favourite sport—football. Luckily, in 2020, Jimmy learned about blind football and decided to have a go.
“I never thought I would play football again. I thought I could never play any kind of sport. But now the chance is back. I’m really happy with it,” Jimmy said excitedly. Now 25-year-old Jimmy is the captain (队长) of the Kator Blind Football Club in South Sudan. In his club members’ eyes, Jimmy is an excellent football star.
Blind football is different from traditional football. Each team has five players on the field at a time. Four players are completely blind and wear eye masks. The goalkeeper (守门员) is partly blind or not blind at all, and he needs to communicate with the four players and provide necessary information for them. The ball is also special. It has bells inside and can make noise as it moves. People must be silent while watching the match, so players can hear the ball clearly. For safety, a player must shout “voy” (meaning “I’m going”) before trying to take the ball away from other players. This helps prevent the players from getting hurt. Their coaches (教练) stand on the sidelines and shout out advice on where to move.
Blind football was invented in the 1920s. However, it wasn’t accepted by the International Blind Sports Federation until 1996. In 2004, blind football became an event at the Paralympics. Since then, the sport has been more and more popular all over the world.

例文
Sunday, 17 May Sunny
Today, I worked as a traffic volunteer at a crossing near my community.
Wearing a red vest, I held a small flag to guide people. When the light turned red, I stopped some runners politely. I also helped an old lady cross the street safely. Everyone smiled at me. Although I stood for two hours, I felt a bit tired. However, seeing the orderly traffic, I felt proud and happy.
