In November, four special mice (老鼠) finished an amazing trip on China’s space station with the team of Shenzhou-21. These little heroes passed many fun but hard tests to get the chance to travel into space.
First, people tested how strong the mice were. They put the mice on a special small “bike”. They had to keep moving for a certain time. Next, people tested if the mice would feel well in a turning machine. This machine helped the mice get used to the special feeling in space. So they wouldn’t feel strange in space. At last, the four best mice got the ticket to fly to space.
On the space station, the mice lived in a nice little home. It was one with a comfortable temperature, and soft places to rest. Cameras showed the mice climbing around, eating special space food and carefully looking at their new home. They even floated in the air and slept while hanging in the air.
These small space travelers are helping scientists understand how space changes living things. Mice are very similar to humans in many ways, so learning about them helps us know more about space life and how astronauts can stay safe and healthy in the future. My volunteering experience
Last week, I took part in the charity challenge of our school’s Warm Heart Volunteer Club.
I chose to help kids at the community reading corner. I read interesting storybooks to them. Then I taught them to draw pictures for the stories. I answered their funny questions. I also played games about reading with them happily.
I felt really excited during the activity. Their big smiles made me feel warm.
