Born in 1987 in a poor mountain village in Hunan Province.Zhang dropped out of school
at 14 and worked as a repair shop apprentice().He learned engines by taking them apart
with his own hands. At 19,eager to prove himself,he went after a TV crew's car for.over
100 kilometers through pouring rain on a broken motorcycle. The crew laughed at him,but
his courage earned him a spot on TV.That led to a job as a rider and mechanic.
Realizing he started racing too late to become a champion rider.Zhang changed his goal,
"If I cannot ride the fastest bike,I will build one.In 2013,he arrived in Chongqing with
only 20.000 yuan(about 2.900 USD),bought parts,and built his first bike.In 2017 he co-
founded Kove Moto, which grew into a major brand. But in 2024,after parting ways with
Kove,he started ZXMOTO-his own company, named after his name.

at WSBK,beating Ducati and Yamaha by nearly four seconds-the first ever race wins for a
Chinese manufacturer.Watching from the sidelines,Zhang was moved to tears.
Today,ZXMOTO is valued at over one billion yuan.Zhang once said,"The world had no
impression of Chinese motorcycles. Now they will remember us."His:story--from a

Each year, more than 1.2 billion smartphones are produced globally. The production of
electronic devices()uses a lot of energy and takes valuable natural resources.Meanwhile,
devices are aging faster than ever-users replace their still-functional phones on average every
2to3 years..Although the most sustainable(可持续的)solution would be to change people's
behavior and consider more carefully whether their new model truly needs replacing, this is
casier said than done.
Creativity often begins not with something new,but with a new way of thinking about
the old.According to a research team, old smartphones can be successfully repurposed into
tiny data centers, which have a wide range of applications. For example, they could be used in
city environments like bus stops to track the number of passengers in real time, while
guarding personal information. This would provide valuable decision-making guidance for city
officials to improve public transportation networks.
In another project, the researchers took out the phones'batteries and replaced them with
outside power sources. Then, they put four phones together, added 3D-printed covers and
holders, and made a working model. The model was then tested underwater, where it
surveilled sea life:Normally, these kinds of tasks require a swimmer to record video and bring
it to the surface for researchers to review. But with the model, the whole process was done
underwater without human help.
Different devices have different hardware abilities and setups, which makes it hard to
reuse electronic waste widely. To solve this, software systems that can work with different
devices are needed,no matter their power or resources. These systems need to give each
device the right amount of work based on its abilities so that no device slows down the
process.
The team's results show that outdated technology doesn't have to end up as waste. With
fresh and wonderful ideas, these devices can contribute to the development of more
environmentally friendly digital solutions."Sustainability is not just about protecting the
future-it's about reimagining the present,where yesterday's devices become tomorrow's
opportunities,"said Ulrich Norbisrath,an Associate Professor of Software Engineering.
28.What is the major problem about electronic devices?
A.Resource waste.
B.Repair difficulties.
C.Slow performance.
D.Costly advertising.
29.What does the underlined word "surveilled"in paragraph 3 probably mean?
A.Easily saved.
B.Clearly guided.
C.Closely observed.
D.Carefully avoided.
【高一英语第4页(共8页)】
26160A
30.What is important to reuse electronic waste widely?
A.Error-fixing ability.
B.Large storage space.
C.Effective energy use.
D.Adaptive workload.
31.What does the last paragraph mainly talk about?
A.The bright future of digital solutions.
B.The challenges of dealing with e-waste.
C.The significance of reusing old devices.
D.The ways of improving software systems.

Every year.on the 15th day of the first lunar month.millions of Chinese families gather
to celebrate the Lantern Festival. They light lanterns, eat sweet rice dumplings, and solve
riddles written on lanterns. But beyond the joy and delicious food, the festival carries a deeper
meaning that has evolved over centuries.
The Lantern Festival marks the end of the Chinese New Year celebrations.Historically,
it was a time when people prayed for good harvests and family unity. In ancient China, young
people were not free to go out on most days, but on this night.they were allowed to walk the
streets, lighting lanterns and meeting others. For this reason, the festival was sometimes
called "Chinese Valentine's Day".
However, like many traditional festivals, the Lantern Festival has changed in modern
times.Today, many young Chinese celebrate it by watching lantern shows on social media
rather than going out. Some cities have replaced traditional paper lanterns with electric ones
for safety reasons. The practice of solving riddles has also moved online, with people
competing in mobile apps instead of gathering in town squares.
These changes have raised questions among cultural historians. Some worry that the
festival is losing its original meaning."When traditions are simplified or digitized, the social
bonds they create weaken,"says Professor Li Wei,a folk culture expert."The Lantern
Festival was never just about lanterns. It was about people coming together."Yet others see
the changes as a natural part of cultural evolution."No culture stays the same forever,"
argues historian Zhang Mei."The fact that young people still care about the Lantern Festival,
even if they celebrate it on their phones, shows that the tradition is alive."She points out that
new technologies can actually help spread traditional culture to a wider audicnce.
Despite the debate, one thing remains clear:the Lantern Festival continues to hold a
special place in the hearts of Chinese people.Whether it is celebrated with paper lanterns on a
crowded street or through a screen at home, the spirit of reunion and hope for a bright future
remains unchanged.
32.What was one historical function of the Lantern Festival mentioned in the passage?
A.It marked the beginning of the harvest season.
B.It gave young people a rare chance to go out.
C.It was a time for family members to travel.
D.It served as a competition for lantern makers.
33.How do many young Chinese celebrate the Lantern Festival today according to the
passage?
A.By traveling to their hometowns.
B.By making sweet rice dumplings at home.
C.By watching lantern shows on social media.
D.By lighting paper lanterns in town squares.
34.What is Zhang Mei's attitude toward the modern way of celebrating the festival?

C.Supportive.
D.Objective.

When you think of jogging.you probably imagine people running at a steady, energetic
pace.36 This practice is known as "slow jogging".
37 The reason is clear:it solves a common problem that many runners push too hard
and end up getting hurt. After decades of research, scientists have found running at a
conversational pace is ideal. This pace provides health benefits while carrying a lower risk of
injury. In other words, you get all the rewards of running without wearing down your body.
That is exactly where slow jogging shows its biggest advantage.
The technique itself is surprisingly simple. You run at about 2-4 kilometers per hour.
which is actually slower than many people walk. The key skill is to land on the middle of your
foot rather than your heel.38 This significantly reduces the impact on your knces and
joints, making the movement gentle on the body.
The health benefits go far beyond injury prevention.Studies show that slow jogging for
30 minutes a day,five times a week,can improve heart health,lung function,and even help
with weight control.39
Perhaps the best part is how easy it is to get started. You don't need any special
equipment or a gym membership.Just put on comfortable shoes and head outside.40 Just
you and the road.So next time you see someone moving at what looks like a very relaxed run,
don't laugh. They might just be onto something big.
A.Just focus on your own steps and breath.
B.Slow jogging has gained worldwide popularity.
C.No detailed plans.no pressure to hit a certain speed.
D.Before starting slow jogging, you need to do warm-up exercises.
E.But you may not have heard of running at a snail's pace on purpose.
F.Because it's gentle,it suits everyone-regardless of age or fitness level.

第二节(满分25分)
阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文,
On a sunny afternoon,a young boy named Liam stood on a busy street corner selling
packets of tissues. His clothes were simple, and his worn-out shoes had a small hole near the
toe.
Just then,a smooth,black car stopped near him.A kind-looking man,Tom,rolled
down the window and asked,"How much for the tissues, young man?""One dollar each,
sir,"Liam replied politely."I'll take them all,"Tom said with a warm smile.He handed
Liam a ten-dollar bill and drove away with the tissues.Liam's eyes widened with joy."Thank
you.sir!"he shouted,holding the money tightly.
Feeling excited.Liam decided to buy something he wanted most:a pair of new shoes.
The ones he wore were too small and hurt his feet every day.He hurried to a shoe store he
had passed many times.Through the big window,he saw a perfect pair of brown shoes. They
looked strong and comfortable. But the price tag said S 100.Liam stopped. He leaned closer
to the glass, staring at the shoes.
Tom happened to drive past the store again and noticed Liam standing by the window. He
slowed down. From a distance,Tom saw the shopkeeper step out and speak gently to Liam.
Then Tom saw the sadness on Liam's face.Though Liam said nothing,Tom noticed how
Liam's fingers tightened around the ten-dollar bill and how his eyes returned to the brown
shoes.
At that sight, memories rose uninvited.Tom remembered his own childhood-the days
of worn shoes and the shame he once felt when help came in the wrong way.But Tom also
remembered one moment clearly:a stranger had helped him, saying only,"Keep going.
You'll earn your way forward.
Standing there,Tom finally understood. The boy did not need pity but the same respect
he himself had once been given. It was at that moment that Tom made up his mind.
注意:
1.续写词数应为150个左右:
2.请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。

Teaxt 10
Good evening to you all.As we all know, education is very important. If our children pay attention and
learn as much as they can,it can set them on the road to a good career and a happy life. But as well as learning
subjects at school,it is also important for them to learn right ways to obey in life. All of us should have basic
rules of behavior, including truthfulness, honesty, charity, love, and kindness.Education is not aimed at
getting only a degree.Successful moral education can make a good student perfect.Perhaps most moral
education can be learned at home, rather than in school or college, because our children spend most of their time
at home.Moral education can often be learned best by actions rather than words.Sometimes we adults forget
this golden rule and advise young people to act well, while not always doing so ourselves.Children are good
observers,so it is the duty of you as parents to set a good example to the younger generation.
