1. What does each quote say about travel?
2. Which quote do you agree with most?
/haɪt/
Xunzi’s quote means that if you don’t climb a high mountain, you won’t know how high the sky is. This tells us that when we travel to new places and do difficult things, we learn more.
Last Saturday, my parents and I went on a self-driving trip to Luoyang, Henan. We set off early and arrived in Luoyang at about 8 o'clock. It was a sunny day and we couldn't wait to start our trip.
We went to Wangcheng Park first. The peonies there all bloomed, and they were in different colours like red, pink and yellow. We took lots of photos. At lunch, we tried the famous local food, mutton soup. It tasted delicious. In the afternoon, we visited the world-famous Longmen Grottoes. The Buddha statues there are huge and have different expressions. The tour guide introduced the history of the Buddha statues to us and we really learned a lot.
The trip to Luoyang was full of fun. I look forward to visiting the city again.
