Twilight Zone
The depth range is about 200 to 1000 meters.
Light here is very faint, like during twilight.
In the zone, we start to see the twinkling lights from bioluminescent creatures(发光生物).
There are many kinds of strange and odd-looking fishes here.
Midnight Zone
It's from 1000 to 4000 meters deep in the ocean.
There's no light at all here—totally dark, like midnight.
The temperature is nearly freezing and pressure is extremely high.
Some unique and weird-looking sea animals live here.
Mariana Trench: the deepest point in the ocean
We’ve known that Mariana Trench is the deepest point in the ocean.
submersible
Fendouzhe is a submersible.
What do you know about the deep sea?
It’s very deep and dark. No sunlight can reach there.
The deep sea begins at 200 metres.
China’s Fendouzhe has dived into the deep sea.

Fendouzhe is a super advanced deep-sea submersible(潜水器) made by China.
It can carry scientists down to the deepest parts of the ocean, like the Mariana Trench.
In 2020, it successfully reached the bottom of the trench, over 10,000 meters deep!
It helps us explore the mysterious deep sea, discover new creatures, and learn more about our planet.
/səbˈmɜːrsəbl/
Fendouzhe is China's manned deep-sea submersible, which reached a depth that set a new record for China's deep-sea diving.
Some deep-sea animals create their own light – it’s like having a flashlight in the dark!
Pre-listening
Rubbish has been found even in the deepest parts of the ocean.

Hukou Waterfall
