A long time ago, there was a small town. Everyone in the town was afraid of one dark place—the Cave (山洞) of Fear. They thought there was a monster (怪物) in the cave. And they said that if you got lost at night and went inside, you would never come back. The last sound anyone heard was a loud cry, then huge, scary laughter. People worried that the monster in the cave might come out one day, so they left food and gifts at the cave’s mouth. And these would always be gone the next morning.
One day, a brave young man came to the town. When he heard the story, he thought it was strange. He decided to go into the cave and meet the monster. But no one dared to help him. So, with only a torch (火把) in his hand, he went in alone, calling for the monster.
The monster laughed loudly. The young man followed the sound, but soon the cave became silent. Suddenly, something hit his back and pushed him into a hole! As he fell, he let out one big cry, thinking he would die. But instead of feeling pain, he heard music and voices! When he landed softly, people shouted, “Surprise!”
He saw many faces—all the people who never returned to the town. They explained to him that this place had been the idea of an old leader of the town. He had tried to do many things in the past, but was always held back by the fears of the people around him. So he invented the story of the monster to teach a lesson: fear can trap (困住) you and stop you from living your life.

Tech company has made a powerful robot that can write novels. This robot writer is real. It’s called ChatGPT. US company OpenAI developed it to create human-like texts. It can translate languages, communicate with people and write songs, poems and even jokes. It’s one of the most powerful AI of its kind, with the complete writing skills of a real person!
People around the world have tried ChatGPT and posted their results on social media. Some used it to write history articles, some asked it to take notes of presentations, and some even asked it for advice on how to chat with people at a party, reported by The Atlantic.
The power of ChatGPT lies in its speed and understanding of difficult matters. We may spend hours researching, understanding and writing an article in a special field. But ChatGPT can produce a well-written one in seconds. Another good thing about it is that if you ask dark, harmful questions, such as how to make a gun, it will not give you an answer.
ChatGPT comes along at a time when AI is becoming increasingly able to do creative tasks. The materials they create are difficult to be different from those made by humans. This leads to many problems such as the copyright and the definition (定义) of art. Since the system is largely trained using words from the Internet, it can also pick up those which are not suitable for certain groups. These are the things humans need to solve.
Superfast Writing Robot
The writing robot called ChatGPT was ____46____ by US company OpenAI.

It can deal with translation, ____47____ and even all kinds of writing.

Have a Meaningful School Life
I’ve had a wonderful time in junior high these three years. When I had problems with lessons, I always asked my teachers for help. They helped me a lot.
I also kept healthy: I played soccer with my classmates after class every day. It made me strong. And I had hobbies too. I liked listening to music and learning to make fruit salad. They made my life interesting.
Please work hard in class, and have your own hobbies. Then you’ll have a meaningful school life!
