In recent months,a documentary called Return to the Wolves, which was released in 2017,
has become popular again. It has brought wolves,a species living on the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau,
back to people's attention.
The documentary tells a true story that happened around 2010.Li Weiyi,a wildlife painter,
rescued a wolf cub on the Ruoergai grasslands in Sichuan province. She took the cub home,
named it Gelin, and raised it for three months.Later, she took Gelin back to the grassland and
spent seven months helping it join a wild wolf pack.Li and director Yi Feng recorded their
10-month life with Gelin and made this documentary.
After the documentary was released,Li still paid attention to wild wolves. In 2020,she met
Gelin again on the grassland, and she found that Gelin had also grown old.Nearly 10 years later,
short videos about this story made it popular again. For example, the most popular video on

off.

Many people believe that natural talent decides one's success. They think clever people can
realize their dreams without much hard work. However, different from common ideas,I hold the
opinion that persistence and hard work are far more important than talent.
Jack was a common student in our grade. He had no special gifts in English. He eouldn't
remember words well and always made mistakes in grammar He often failed English tests and
lost confidence in himself.Instead of giving up,he chose to face difficulties bravely. He made a
careful daily study plan.He read English passages every morning, listened to teachers carefully
in class and finished reading and writing exercises every evening.Whenever he had problems,
he always asked teachers and classmates for help patiently.
After a long period of hard practice, his English improved a lot.He even won an important
prize in the city English competition.Talent can give you a quick start, but only continuous
effort can lead to final success. As teenagers,we shouldn't admire others'talent. We should keep
working hard and never give up.
