Passage 1
(24-25七年级下·山东济南槐荫区·期末)
Dolphins (海豚) are some of the most intelligent animals in the ocean. They live in groups called pods and use special (特殊的) sounds to communicate (交流). Scientists have discovered that dolphins even have their own “names”—unique (特别的) whistle sounds that help them recognize (识别) each other.
There are three main ways dolphins share information. First, they make clicks and whistles to express (表达) emotions like happiness or fear. Second, dolphins touch each other with their fins to show friendship or comfort. For example, a mother dolphin often touches her baby to guide it. Third, they use body movements, like jumping high out of the water, to warn the pod about nearby danger.
Sadly, dolphins face many threats. Pollution (污染) in the ocean makes it hard for them to find clean food. Some fishermen accidentally catch dolphins in their nets. Also, loud noises from ships confuse (使迷惑) dolphins’ communication systems. To protect them, many countries have created marine protected areas where fishing is limited (限制).
How can we help? Students can learn about dolphin conservation (保护) and avoid using plastic (塑料的) products that might end up in the ocean. Visiting dolphin-friendly aquariums (水族馆) and supporting responsible tourism are also good ways to make a difference.

When the weather is not good, sea birds will stay on the shore (海岸). They don’t like to fly in the strong wind. They may stay in a tree when a heavy rain is coming. But when we see sea birds flying high in the sky, we can know it will be a sunny day.
When the rain is on the way, the ants will move their houses from the low places to the high places. Because they are afraid the rain will submerge their homes.
When it’s going to rain, the frogs will stay in the water and make big noise with “croak, croak”. But if it is a fine day, the frogs will be out of the water and make big noise.

Passage 2
(24-25七年级下·山东济南高新区·期末)
The Sun: Our Life Source
The Sun is very important to us. It is a star in the sky. It gives us light and heat. Without the Sun, there would be no life on Earth.
How Big and Hot Is the Sun?
The Sun is huge! It is much bigger than the Earth. In fact, about 1.3 million Earths could fit inside the Sun. Its surface temperature is about 5,500 degrees Celsius. That’s hot enough to melt (融化) almost anything. And the temperature at its center is even higher, reaching about 15 million degrees Celsius. Deep inside, the Sun creates energy through special reactions (化学反应) that turn tiny particles (粒子) into heat and light.
How Sunlight Reaches Earth
Even though the Sun is very far away (about 150 million kilometers), its light travels super fast — 300,000 kilometers every second! That means it only takes about 8 minutes and 20 seconds for sunlight to reach us. Think about it: when you see the Sun in the sky, the light you’re seeing left the Sun almost 9 minutes ago!
Why the Sun is important for Life
Plants need sunlight to grow. They use the light and carbon dioxide (二氧化碳) from the air to make food. This process is called photosynthesis (光合作用). Animals and humans also depend on plants for food, so the sun is the start of the entire food chain (食物链). Without it, we wouldn’t have fruits, vegetables, or even the meat from animals.
The Sun and Our Weather
The Sun also affects our weather. It heats the Earth’s surface, causing air to rise and fall. This movement of air creates winds. And the heat from the Sun also causes water to evaporate (蒸发) from the oceans and lakes, which leads to the formation of clouds and rain.
In short, the Sun is not just a bright spot in the sky — it’s the key to life, food, and the weather we enjoy every day.
1.What is the temperature of the Sun’s center?
A.1.3 million℃. B.5,500℃. C.15 million℃. D.150 million℃.
2.Why does the author mention photosynthesis in the article?
A.To show how plants make food using sunlight.
B.To explain why the Sun is hot.
C.To compare plants and animals.
D.To describe the weather.
3.How does the Sun affect weather?
A.It makes the Earth colder. B.It causes wind and rain.
C.It stops clouds from forming. D.It makes the ocean freeze.
4.Which of the following is TRUE according to the text?
A.The Sun’s surface temperature is higher than its center temperature.
B.Sunlight takes exactly 10 minutes to reach Earth.
C.Photosynthesis helps plants make food using sunlight.
D.The Sun is smaller than the Earth.
5.What is the main idea of the text?
A.The Sun is a star. B.The Sun is very hot.
C.The Sun affects the weather. D.The Sun is important to us.

Many students often forget to bring umbrellas when it rains, and they end up getting wet on their way to and from school. To solve this problem, Shanghai Middle School started a special program (项目)——the “Sharing Umbrella” program.
The school puts 200 umbrellas at different places around the campus, like the school gate, the teaching building entries, and the library. Each umbrella has a special QR code (二维码) on it. Students can use their phones to scan the QR code and borrow (借) an umbrella easily. They just need to enter their student ID numbers and a phone number. When they finish using the umbrella, they scan the QR code again to return (归还) it.
The school uses a smart system (系统) to manage these umbrellas. It can record who borrows an umbrella, when they borrow it, and when they return it. This helps the school know if the umbrellas are being used properly. If a student doesn’t return an umbrella on time, the school will send him or her a message to remind them.
Li Xiaomei, a 13-year-old student, thinks the program is really useful. “Last week, I was on my way to the library when it suddenly rained heavily. I was so worried, but then I saw the sharing umbrellas and borrowed one right away. It saved me from getting all wet,” she said.

主题01 人与自然--动植物
1.How do dolphins recognize each other?
A.By making loud jumps. B.By using unique whistle sounds.
C.By touching other dolphins' fins. D.By creating clicks to show emotions.
2.What does the word “threats” in Paragraph 3 mean?
A.New friends. B.Dangerous challenges (挑战).
C.Happy experiences. D.Communication tools.
3.What is the main purpose of marine protected areas?

C.To help fishermen catch more fish. D.To build more dolphin aquariums.
4.What action is NOT suggested to help dolphins?
A.Using eco-friendly products. B.Visiting aquariums with wild dolphins.
C.Learning about dolphin conservation. D.Supporting responsible tourism.
【答案】1.B 2.B 3.B 4.B
【导语】本文介绍了海豚的交流方式、面临的生存威胁,以及保护海豚的相关措施和方法。
1.第1段“unique whistle sounds that help them recognize each other.”明确说明,海豚通过独特的哨声来识别彼此。
2.第3段“Sadly, dolphins face many threats. Pollution in the ocean makes it hard for them to find clean food. Some fishermen accidentally catch dolphins in their nets...”下文列举了污染、误捕、噪音干扰等对海豚生存有害的因素,因此“threats”在这里的意思是危险的挑战。对应B。
3.第3段“To protect them, many countries have created marine protected areas where fishing is limited.”说明建立海洋保护区的目的是限制捕鱼、保护海豚的家园。
4.第4段“Students can learn about dolphin conservation... avoid using plastic products... Visiting dolphin-friendly aquariums and supporting responsible tourism are also good ways...”建议的保护措施包括学习保护知识、减少塑料使用、参观对海豚友好的水族馆、支持负责任的旅游,并未提及参观有野生海豚的水族馆。
