作文
Dear Chris.
I’m glad to hear from you and learn about such a great novel. I prefer to read works of literature. These days I’m reading a book called The Little Orange Lamp. I like reading it because the articles in it are full of love and the language is simple.
Speaking of famous Chinese writers, I’d like to recommend Bing Xin to you. She was born in 1900 and was given the name Xie Wanying. When she was a little girl, she fell in love with reading. Later, she began to publish articles with Bing Xin as her pen name.
Bing Xin is well-known as a writer of children’s literature. To Young Readers is her another famous book. If you read it, you’ll lose yourself in it.
I hope you’ll accept my recommendation.
Yours.
Li Le

Dear Li Lei,
How’s everything going? Recently I’ve just read a really good book The Old Man and the Sea. It is a novel by Hemingway and is one of his greatest books. The story tells how an old fisherman fights against a big fish. Although the fisherman fails again and again, he never gives up. What kind of books do you enjoy reading? Have you read anything interesting recently? Tell me something about a famous writer from your country and one of his/her works.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Yours,
Chris

Yours.
Li Le

五、书面表达。(20分)
假如你是Li Lei,曾在你校交流学习的Chris给你写了一封邮件。请你根据Chris的邮件内容,用英语回一封电子邮件。
Dear Li Lei,
How’s everything going? Recently I’ve just read a really good book The Old Man and the Sea. It is a novel by Hemingway and is one of his greatest books. The story tells how an old fisherman fights against a big fish. Although the fisherman fails again and again, he never gives up. What kind of books do you enjoy reading? Have you read anything interesting recently? Tell me something about a famous writer from your country and one of his/her works.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Yours,
Chris
