They 13 leave the food to heat while doing other things. A one-minute break for housework can become five minutes. Other reasons include using kitchen tools like stoves or microwaves (微波炉) in the wrong way, or forgetting to turn them 14 . This can cause burns or even serious 15 . If you are not careless, you can 16 many dangers.

第一节 (共5小题;每小题1.5分,满分7.5分)
根据短文内容,判断正误(正确 “T”,错误 “F”), 并将所选答案涂到答题卡的相应位置上。
Understanding Our Emotions
Feeling angry, upset, or worried is one of the most common feelings. The goal isn’t to avoid these feelings but to manage them well. If we let them control us, we might do things we regret.
So, what can we do? First, stop and take a deep breath. This simple step helps you calm down before reacting. Then, choose a positive action. Physical activities are a powerful tool. Going for a fast walk, running, or even dancing to your favourite music can help release the built-up energy that comes with strong emotions. Another good way is to talk to someone you trust or write your feelings down. Often, just being heard makes you feel lighter.
Remember, emotions themselves are not good or bad; they are just messages. Feeling angry might mean something feels unfair. Feeling sad might mean you’ve lost something important. By listening to these messages and answering in a calm way, you take control. This doesn’t mean the feelings will disappear right away, but you will be able to handle them without hurting yourself or others. Learning these skills now will help you your entire life.
( )21.Feeling angry, upset, or worried is one of the most unusual feelings.
( )22.Stopping and taking a deep breath can help you calm down.

We all know that the British people love their manners. They are part of their national identity (特性), as well as having fish and chips and talking about the weather. Recently I read online that they say “sorry” up to eight times a day.
After some research, I have not been able to find any reasons why they are like this. I suppose, for centuries, manners, including how they behave at table and talk to other people have been one of the differences between the lower and upper classes and those manners show their social classes. Britain has traditionally been a quite conservative (保守的) country. There are many articles suggesting that their seemingly polite attitude of always saying “please” and “thank you” is quite false because it is impossible for a person to always feel that he or she wants to thank someone or say “please”.
Maybe it is for this reason that people are going one of two ways: they are too polite and hold back their feelings or they are not polite at all and express their true feelings directly. Some British people are tired of pretending that they are always happy and having to please others. But sometimes because they feel they have to be polite, they are prevented from saying what they truly think.
( )36.________ is not part of the British people’s national identity.
A.Eating fish and chips B.Being impolite to others
C.Talking about the weather D.Being polite to others

③They like to hold back their true feelings.
