开头,并列出实验所需材料(What you need)、实验原理(How it works)、操作步骤(What to do)及安全警告(Safety Warning),这种图文并茂、步骤清晰的形式明显是一张实验海报(experiment poster)。
根据“What to do”部分的步骤顺序:第2步是“Add food coloring”,紧接着第3步是“Stir yeast into warm water. Pour it into the bottle.”,因此加入食用色素后,下一步应该是将酵母搅入温水中。
根据“How it works”部分明确说明:“The soap traps the oxygen bubbles. This makes a big tower of foam.”,即洗洁精的作用是捕捉氧气气泡并产生泡沫,对应选项C。
B
Most living things need oxygen(氧气)— but not all breathe the same way! You use lungs, fish use gills(鱼鳃)to get oxygen from water. Let’s see how!
Countercurrent exchange(逆流交换)
Fish gills are great at taking in oxygen thanks to countercurrent exchange. Water and the fish’s blood flow in opposite directions, so gills can get more oxygen—like getting every drop from a sponge(海绵).
Quick Q: Why can’t fish breathe air?
Fish don’t die out of water because they’re “thirsty”!
In water, their gill filaments spread out like soft feathers(羽毛)to take in oxygen. In air, they stick together—like wet hair—so they can’t get enough oxygen.
28. What is the main use of fish gills?
A. To filter sand and mud from water. B. To help fish swim faster.
C. To take in oxygen from water. D. To keep the fish body wet.
29. What numbers should fill the four ‘?%’ blanks in the diagram above?
A. 100%→70%→40%→15% B. 10%→60%→35%→85%
C. 10%→35%→60%→85% D. 100%→45%→60%→15%
30. Why can’t fish get enough oxygen when they are out of water?
A. Their blood will stop flowing. B. Their gills spread out like feathers.
C. The oxygen is thin in the air. D. Their gill filaments stick together.
C 29. A 30. D
根据原文“Most living things need oxygen — but not all breathe the same way! You use lungs, fish use gills to get oxygen from water.”,直接说明鱼鳃的主要作用是从水中获取氧气。
根据原文“In air, they stick together—like wet hair—so they can’t get enough oxygen.”,可知鱼离开水后,鳃丝会粘连在一起,无法获取充足氧气。
C
Long ago, Adana lived in a small village in Africa. Everyone in the village had jobs to do, and the villagers depended on one another. When Adana turned ten, her mother called for her.
“Adana, it is time for you to take your place in the village. You shall be the water girl. Each morning we need you to go down to the spring (泉), fill these buckets (桶) with water, and bring them back to the village before noon.”
Adana promised to do this job well because all the villagers needed her water to drink and wash. She picked up the yoke with the buckets, threw it over her back, and walked to the spring. When she arrived, she took a drink and then filled the buckets with clean, cool water. Adana looked at the sun. It was nearly noon and she knew the villagers were waiting for her.
She turned to a water girl from a nearby village and asked, “How long will it take to carry water back to my village?”
The girl thoughtfully replied, “If you go slowly, it will not take very long. But if you go fast, it will take you all day.”
Adana listened, and thought about what the girl had told her. She did not believe the girl, and she climbed back up the bank and headed down the path toward her village. Adana started off slowly, but walked much faster with each step. Soon, she was slowly jogging back toward her village. Half way home, she stopped to take a little sip (一小口) of water. When she did, she saw that the buckets were only half full. Water had been sloshing (溅出) out along the path as she travelled.
Adana turned back toward the spring. Once again, she filled the buckets with nice, clean water. Then, she walked slowly back toward the village.
When she arrived, her little sister asked, “How long does it take to carry water back from the spring?”
Adana smiled and said, “If you go slowly, it will not take very long. But if you go fast it could take all day.” Adana’s little sister listened, but thought this was a strange thing to say. From that day forward, Adana walked quickly to the spring each morning. On her way home, she walked slowly and carefully.
31. How did Adana feel when her mother gave her the job at first?
A. She was happy to work with her friend from another village.
B. She was pleased to have such an important job.
C. She was worried about walking on the path alone.
D. She was afraid of carrying the buckets.
32. What’s the right order of the events?
a. Adana asked another water girl a question.
b. She had to go back to fill the buckets with clean water again.
c. One day, she walked to the spring to get water.
d. Adana went slowly to the village and finally arrived.
e. Adana became a water girl at the age of ten.
f. On the way back, she found the buckets were half full.
A. c→e→f→b→d→a B. e→c→a→f→b→d C. c→e→a→b→f→d D. e→a→b→d→f→c
33. What can we learn from the story?
A. Do not stop to talk to people when there’s a job to be done.
B. It is always important for people to work together.
C. Taking time to do a job well can save time in the long run.
D. We should always listen to and take friends’ advice.
B 32. B 33. C
文中说“Adana promised to do this job well because all the villagers needed her water”,说明她意识到工作的重要性并愿意做好,因此应是高兴和自豪。
- e. 十岁成为挑水女孩(第一段背景介绍);
- c. 某天走去泉边取水(第三段"walked to the spring");
- a. 询问另一位挑水女孩(第四、五段对话);
- f. 回程发现水桶只剩一半(第六段"buckets were only half full");
- b. 不得不回去重新装满水(第七段"turned back... filled the buckets");
正确顺序为 e→c→a→f→b→d,故选 B。
If you go slowly, it will not take very long. But if you go fast it could take all day."
D
Sound is a form of energy that we cannot see. But we can sense it. Our sense of hearing helps us know what is going on around us. We often hear a train before we see it. Even in darkness, we can hear sounds.
Sound can be a powerful means of communication. Think of a lion roaring. Its roar can fill people with fear. Mothers rush over when they hear their children cry for help. When people think of their favorite songs, they often smile.
There is much to learn about sound. Sounds are produced by vibrations (振动). To vibrate means to repeat the same movements over and over again. Some vibrations can be seen, while others can be felt. Place your hand gently on your throat. Can you feel the vibrations? What you feel is your vocal cords (声带) moving back and forth.
When an object vibrates, it creates movement in the air. When you clap your hands, you make the air around them move in waves. These waves are called sound waves. Sound waves travel through the air and carry energy, just as ocean waves do.
Do you want to witness the energy of sound waves? We can hear sounds, yet we cannot see sound waves. Try this experiment: gently place a few grains of rice on a drum. The vibrations will make the rice jump. Speak loudly next to the drum. Vibrations travel from your mouth through the air to the drumhead (鼓面), and you will see the rice bounce again.
Have you ever wondered how vibrations reach your ears? Sound waves spread through the air and reach your ears, which are built to capture them. They pass through your ear canal (耳道) and hit your eardrum, making it vibrate. It is this vibration that enables you to hear friends talking, dogs barking and your favorite music.
34. From the passage, we know that ________.
A. all vibrations can be seen B. all vibrations can be felt
C. vibrations can lead to sounds D. doing different actions may cause vibrations
35. What does the underlined word in paragraph 5 probably mean?
A. Fall down. B. Jump up and down. C. Move slowly. D. Stay where it is.
36. Which of the following statements is TRUE according to the passage?
A. The rice bounces because of the vibrations of the drum head.
B. We can see vibrations easily if the sound is loud enough.
C. Sound waves are the same as ocean waves because they both carry energy.
D. The ear canal vibrates first when sound waves reach our ears.
37. What is the best title for this passage?
A. How our ears help us hear the world. B. The science of sound: vibrations and waves.
C. Fun experiments with sound and vibrations. D. Different kinds of sounds in our daily life.
C 35. B 36. A 37. B
第五段说明声波的能量:“Vibrations travel from your mouth through the air to the drumhead (鼓面), and you will see the rice bounce again.”,表明振动从口中经由空气传递到鼓面,你会看到米粒再次跳动起来,即bounce表示“跳动”,“Jump up and down”符合题意。
第五段说明米粒跳动的原因:“Speak loudly next to the drum. Vibrations travel from your mouth through the air to the drumhead (鼓面), and you will see the rice bounce again.”,说话时的振动通过空气传到鼓面,引发鼓面振动,让米粒跳动,所以米粒弹起是鼓面振动导致的。

Dear You (also known as Letter to Grandma) is a heartwarming Chinese film directed by Lan Hongchun. Set against the background of the “Going to Nanyang” movement, it tells a story of love and kindness that has moved millions of viewers.
The movie is about a group of old letters. A grandmother waits for her husband for many years, and her grandson tries to uncover a secret that has been kept for a long time. The grandson finds out that a Thai woman (who is from Chaoshan) kept sending letters to his grandma in his grandfather’s name, even after he died.
These letters, known as qiaopi, are very special — a mix of letters and money. The “love letter” in the film’s title has a deep meaning. It stands for three kinds of love: the grandmother’s love for her faraway husband, the kindness from a stranger, and love for one’s motherland.
What makes this film truly outstanding is that it was made with a small budget and ordinary actors. Even so, Dear You has got some of the highest scores this year. Many viewers say this film is like a soft, quiet trip through time. Instead of using loud music or speeches to make people cry, the director uses a gentle documentary (纪录片) style to show true emotions. It perfectly shows the spirit of Chaoshan people — their courage, their hard work, and their strong sense of duty to both family and country.
This movie tells us: true and honest love never needs fancy words. It lies in long waiting, quiet care, and brave acts. It is a moving story that proves the strongest ties between people who are not built by blood, but by kindness.

Second, I seldom talk loudly or run in the hallways after class. Instead, I keep my voice down and follow the school rules all the time.
I’m also ready to give others a helping hand. Last month, one of my classmates was ill and absent from school for three days. I shared my notes and helped her with her studies patiently when she came back. Seeing the smile on her face made me feel pleased.

32. What’s the right order of the events?
