We live in two worlds, physical and digital. While IT is exciting to have so much information that you are finger atis, every time you go online, you leave a data mark of your activity. This mark about who you are is called your digital footprint. There are so many dangers to your safety online that IT is very important to be aware of your digital footprint. If you do not keep IT clean, strangers will get to know you even without meeting you. Some want to steal money or information from you to use or sell. Some want to plant harmful software like a virus on your computer. Others even bully you using electronic text through email or social media. However, this doesn't mean that you must stop using the digital world to learn, socialize and have fun. If you are aware of these dangers, you can protect yourself first. Think before you post or share anything online. What you do online shows who you are and creates a profile of your character, so I could really influence your future when you apply for jobs or future studies. Also, IT is a bad idea to share too much about your life where you live. Contact details and information about your friends and family always check your privacy settings. Your online safety is key.
