write a reply to a post on sameness and differences between friend
1. 安慰发帖人,表示理解他的困惑;
2. 分享你对“朋友之间相同与不同”的看法(不同点是正常的,甚至可以互相学习);
TASK: Reply to a post on the school forum about whether good friends need to be the same. Give your opinion and advice.
(Dear friend / To the poster)、正文、结尾(Yours sincerely / Best wishes)、署名。

Dear friend,
I read your post, and I understand how you feel. It can be confusing when you and your best friend seem so different. But please don’t worry. It is very common for good friends to have different interests.
You don’t have to be the same to be best friends. In fact, differences can actually make your friendship stronger and more interesting. If you both liked the same things, you might never learn anything new. Your friend loves football, and you love reading. That’s a good thing! He can teach you about football, and you can share a great book with him. This way, you both grow and learn. The most important thing is that you care about each other, respect each other, and are there when needed.
Here is my advice. First, respect his hobby even if you don’t enjoy it yourself. Second, try to join him for a football game once in a while. He will be happy. Also, invite him to read with you or tell him a story from your book. Don’t let small differences become big problems. I hope you and your friend stay close. Good luck!
Yours sincerely,
A Friendly Schoolmate
1. 指出校园中存在“只和相似的人玩”的现象及其问题;
2. 阐述朋友之间可以有不同,差异带来多彩的世界;
TASK: Write a proposal to call on students to value differences and make friends with those who are not the same as them.
1. 倡议书格式:标题(如“Proposal: Celebrate Differences, Make More Friends”)、称呼(Dear fellow students)、正文、署名和日期。

Proposal: Celebrate Differences, Make More Friends
Dear fellow students,
Have you noticed that some students only play with people who are just like them — same hobbies, same favorite subjects, same style of clothes? They form small groups and seldom talk to others who are different. This can make some classmates feel lonely, left out, and even sad. But a school should be a place where everyone feels welcome, no matter what they like or who they are.
Differences are not bad at all. In fact, they make our world colorful and interesting. Think about a rainbow. It is beautiful precisely because it has many different colors. If it were only one color, it would be boring. The same is true for friendships. If we only befriend people who are exactly like us, we will never learn new things, hear new ideas, or see the world from another point of view. A friend who loves drawing can teach you to see beauty in colors. A friend who loves sports can help you become stronger.
Here are three things we can do to build a more friendly and open school. First, make a small effort every day to talk to someone you don’t usually talk to. Just say “hello” and ask about their day. A simple greeting can open a door. Second, when you work on a group project, invite someone with different skills to join your team. Different ideas often lead to the best results. Third, learn to appreciate what makes each person special. Instead of saying “He is so different from me,” say “I can learn something new from him.” Let’s celebrate our differences and make friends with everyone. Together, we can make our school a warm and welcoming home for all.
