Subject: Advice for Your Home Visit in China
Hi Tina,
I’m glad to hear from you and I’m really excited about your coming trip to Shanghai. Don’t be nervous, and I’d like to offer you some useful advice.
Firstly, greet the Zhao family politely with a warm smile when you meet them. Secondly, pay attention to table manners. You should wait for the elders to start eating first and never stick your chopsticks into the rice bowl. Thirdly, it’s a good idea to bring small gifts like local food from your country. Besides, you can talk about hobbies, travel and delicious food instead of private topics.
Just relax and be yourself. /When in Rome, do as the Romans do. I’m sure you will have a wonderful time there.
Cheers,
Yaming
