How Rules Help Us
Many students think rules are boring and strict. But they don’t know that rules are there to help them.
At school, rules keep students safe. For example, “Don’t run in the hallways” keeps students from getting hurt. “No eating in class” keeps the classroom clean and helps students focus on learning. “Wear the school uniform” builds school spirit and makes everyone feel equal.
At home, rules help students develop good habits. “Finish your homework first” helps them be responsible. “Don’t stay up late” keeps them healthy and ready for school the next day.
Rules also teach us respect. Being on time shows respect for teachers and classmates. Being quiet in the library shows respect for others who are reading.
Next time you feel bored with rules, remember: they are not there to stop you from having fun. They are there to help you grow into a better person.

My Favorite Rules
There are many rules in my life. My favorite rule is “Finish your homework first before playing”.

Rules are not bad. They help me grow into a better student. I will follow this rule forever.
