First, let's analyze the teaching material. The theme is cross-cultural communication, focusing on Chinese home-visiting customs. The content revolves around Tina's email seeking advice. The 'why' is to foster cultural understanding and improve communication skills. The 'how' is through analyzing a practical email text, focusing on its structure and polite language features.

This is my planned blackboard design. It's clear and functional, displaying the essential elements: the email format, key advice points, important sentence structures, and the core cultural message, "When in Rome, do as the Romans do."

Teaching Reflection
Strengths
• Strictly follows the lesson plan with clear scaffolding, ensuring logical learning progression.
• Integrates cultural awareness and cross-cultural respect into language learning.
• The reading-to-write task design effectively integrates multiple language skills.
Weaknesses & Improvements
Weakness: Some students produced simple and repetitive sentence structures.
Improvement: Provide a bank of alternative structures (e.g., "be supposed to", "it’s important to...") for reference.
2. Weakness: Time was limited for whole-class sharing.
Improvement: Use small-group sharing first to involve more students, then select representative works for whole-class discussion.
1.7.2013
In my teaching reflection, I acknowledge the strengths, such as the clear scaffolding and focus on cultural awareness. I also identify areas for improvement, like providing more varied sentence patterns and finding more time for student sharing, which I will address in future lessons.

Thank You
1.7.2013
To conclude, this lesson aims to help students write politely and respect cultures truly. That’s all for my presentation. Thank you very much for your attention. I am now ready to answer any questions you may have.
