1. A
themselves 他们自己;them 他们(宾格);their 他们的;they 他们(主格)。 故选A。
2. D
must 一定;could 可能;might 可能;can’t 不可能。
4. A
故选A。
5. A
turn off 关掉;turn down 调小;turn up 调大;turn on 打开。 故选A。
6. B
because 因为;so所以;or或者,否则;but 但是。
又因为“last year”为一般过去时的标志词,be动词应选用was/were;而主语trees and flowers为复数,应选用were。故选C。
9. A
故选A。
10. B
11. A 12. C 13. B 14. C 15. A 16. A 17. C 18. B 19. C 20. C
故选A。
故选A。
buy 买; borrow 借; sell 卖; show 展示。 故选A。
because 因为; or 或者,否则; but 但是; and 和。
for为了;to向;with 伴随,带有;without 没有。
根据“You could take the subway or get on the plane with just your face alone”和题干表述一致。 故填T。
根据“As facial recognition is used more and more in our daily lives—from schools and subways to street corners and smartphones.”,说明人脸识别的应用领域不只是地铁和学校。故填F。
第二段提到“They just need to connect their online payment systems with the subway smartphone app.”,和题干表述一致。故填T。
原文第三段提到“If so, the secret information will become known to the public.”,这里的"so"指代的就是面部信息被泄露的情况,和句子表述一致。故填T。
根据第四段“Of course, we should also be concerned about its safety problems while enjoying the convenience that facial recognition brings to us.”,说明人们需要关注人脸识别的安全性,和句子表述相反。
26. A 27. A 28. B 29. D 30. D
文章第二句“design a poster that celebrates the natural world”明确说明“设计一张庆祝自然世界的海报”,因此海报的目的是庆祝自然世界。 故选A。
根据“You could draw anything…” 故选A。
31. B 32. C 33. B 34. A 35. C
根据第三段“To honor him, I decided to create a garden”可知,为了纪念他,我决定建一个花园,其中“him”指代上文提到的已故父亲。
由第三段末尾 “I also visited my old home and dug up the Swiss chard my dad had planted years ago, moving it to my new garden”可知,我还去了老房子,挖出父亲多年前种的瑞士甜菜,移到了我的新花园。
文章第二段说“He was a gardener... He grew vegetables from seed…Gardening came easy to him”可知,作者的父亲是擅长从种子开始种菜的。 但文中说“halfway through writing my cookbook, my dad passed away”,是作者写了一半爸爸就去世了。
后文中“But as I grew older, I began to value his gardening”形成对比,说明小时候没有珍视父亲的劳动,与A项“不珍惜他的辛苦工作”匹配。故选A。
第二段明确指出:“Circles represent things that are soft and natural... All these things make us feel happy and warm.”
根据“Look at the bad guys in cartoons—they are all drawn with plenty of points and triangles, like Shenggongbao in Ne Zha.”
文章围绕圆形、方形、三角形在不同电影中分别代表什么角色特征这一核心展开,且第一段 “Have you thought about their meanings in films? … different shapes can show different features of characters.”
41. C 42. B 43. D 44. A 45. E
故选A。

56. 例文
Understanding My Father’s Silence Makes Me Better
I once thought love had to be spoken. But my father was a man of few words. His silence felt like a wall, and I mistook it for a lack of care.
After a terrible basketball game, I felt like a loser and cried in the car. He didn't comfort me with words. Instead, he parked by a quiet lake, sat with me silently, and gently squeezed my shoulder. Then he handed me a bottle of water. No words, but I heard his unspoken message loud and clear. I suddenly realized that his silence wasn't cold. It was his way of giving me space to feel better. True care doesn't always need to be loud.
Understanding my father's silence makes me a more caring person. It has taught me to see the gentle light hidden in the quiet.

Did you forget your password(密码) or your ID? Well, you'll never forget your face. Using your face as your ID is more convenient. You could take the subway or get on the plane with just your face alone. This is how facial recognition(人脸识别) works.
In China, facial recognition systems have been used in many areas. People can now get on the subway by using that. They just need to connect their online payment systems with the subway smartphone app. Students can pass through school gates by scanning their faces. Facial recognition systems have been making our life more convenient and often help us save lots of time.
However, there are some people who may feel uncomfortable because they don't know how their facial information is used or whether it will be let out. If so, the secret information will become known to the public. When someone steals their personal information, they can change their bank card and password, but can they change their face when their facial information is stolen?
As facial recognition is used more and more in our daily lives—from schools and subways to street corners and smartphones. Of course, we should also be concerned about its safety problems while enjoying the convenience that facial recognition brings to us.
21. Facial recognition helps people take the subway or get on the plane conveniently.
22. In China, facial recognition is only used in subways and schools now.
23. People need to connect their online payment systems to the subway app to use facial recognition on the subway.
24. If facial information is let out, people's secret information may be known to the public.
25. People don't need to worry about the safety of facial recognition at all.

Since receiving the first finished copy of my cookbook a couple of weeks ago, I've been thinking about my dad a lot.
He was a gardener. I still remember him carefully caring for his vegetable garden in North Seattle. He grew vegetables from seed to feed our large family in a healthy and affordable way. As a child, I took his efforts for granted. But as I grew older, I began to value his gardening, even though I was never good at it. Gardening came easy to him, but not to me.
Sadly, halfway through writing my cookbook, my dad passed away unexpectedly. To honor him, I decided to create a garden with the help of my kids and mom. For others, this might be simple, but I'd always been afraid to try again after past failures. I cleared a small area and started growing some vegetables from seed. I also visited my old home and dug up the Swiss chard my dad had planted years ago, moving it to my new garden.
Today, when I checked on my garden, I saw some tiny sprouts (新芽) coming out of the ground and was so happy. These sprouts mean more than food. They're part of a journey of remembering, healing, and connecting with my father.
Through caring for his Swiss chard and sharing his love of gardening, I've found a beautiful way to keep his memory alive. If you've lost someone dear, consider growing something in their honor. Watching new life grow can be a quiet but powerful way to heal.

(跨学科阅读)We can see circles, squares and triangles everywhere in our daily life. Have you thought about their meanings in films? Much like colors, different shapes can show different features of characters in the scenes.
Circles represent things that are soft and natural. The round shape reminds us of things that appear in nature, like the sun, raindrops and so on. We can also connect circles with beautiful eyes, babies' round faces.... All these things make us feel happy and warm. This is why so many cartoon characters' bodies—heroes, good people—are round in shape, because circles represent goodness, happiness and friendliness.
Squares show things that are unnatural or man-made, or things that are boring or old-fashioned. For example, in the cartoon film Up, Carl has a square face and wears square glasses, while Russell, an 8-year-old boy with a round face, always wears round medals. These shapes show the characters' personalities. Carl is stubborn and lonely, while Russell is lovely and full of energy.
The angriest shape is the triangle. Every kid who draws a monster with sharp teeth draws a row of triangles, don't they? That's because the shape represents fear, distrust and doubt in some way. Look at the bad guys in cartoons—they are all drawn with plenty of points and triangles, like Shenggongbao in Ne Zha. And triangles are stable (稳固的) and don't fall down in ease. In films, this feature makes bad people difficult to deal with.
Not only in cartoons, but also in other kinds of films, different shapes are used for the same purpose. So, try to find the hidden shapes and you will know what the characters are like.
36. According to Paragraph 2, which of the following cartoon character will probably make people feel warm?

37. What does the underlined word "stubborn" meaning Paragraph 3?
A. Accept new things.

A. To introduce him.
B. To make kids afraid.
C. To prove him maybe a bad person.
D. To show the difficulties to deal with him.
39. What’s the structure of this passage?
A. ①-②-③④⑤
B. ①-②③④-⑤
C. ①②-③④-⑤
D. ①②③-④-⑤
40. What is the text mainly about?
A. Why different shapes represent different things.
B. What makes kids fascinated by heroes in films.
