Some students always have negative (消极的) thoughts like “I can’t do this or can’t do that.” How can you stay positive (积极的) and happy?
To solve the problem, I think you should do challenging things step by step. If you are doing something like homework, try reading instructions carefully. The museum has a large collection of objects that describe happiness of people from around the world. “We might be Danish or Mexican or American or Chinese, but we are first and most importantly human,” Wiking said. “The same things drive happiness no matter where we’re from, and I hope that people will see that in the museum.”

Do you have a brother or sister? Do you have to share a bedroom with him or her? In fact, sharing a bedroom may influence your relationships.
Sharing a bedroom with your brother or sister has a good side. For one thing, it helps you get a good night’s sleep. If you’re scared of the dark, you’ll fall asleep more easily with someone else in the room. The same is true if you don’t like being alone. For another thing, you can develop many important skills. You learn how to give and take so that nobody gets selfish (自私的). You also learn how to solve your own problems. These skills can help you create a peaceful environment and a better relationship with your brother or sister.
Sharing a bedroom with your brother or sister also has a bad side. It may have a poor effect on your sleep. If you’re a light sleeper, the noises he or she makes may keep you awake. The same thing happens if he or she can’t sleep without a night light on. Also, when you share a room, you don’t possess your own space because there is always someone else there. Without your own room, you don’t learn to be comfortable being alone. You also don’t learn to be independent (独立的).
As you can see, there are both good and bad sides about sharing a bedroom. So, talk with your family to see what works better for you and your brother or sister!
43. What is the main idea of the second paragraph?

One Possible Version:
Dear Peter,
How’s it going? I’m glad to tell you something about my favorite book Journey to the West.
It tells a story about a monk named Tang Seng and his three brave disciples, who take a long hard journey to the west to go to seek for scriptures. They fight against different monsters along the way and never give up halfway.
I love this book most mainly because the characters are lively and touching. The Monkey King with his magic stick is my favorite, for he is always brave to face any danger.
From this great book, I learn that no matter how hard the difficulty is, we should keep brave and never give up our dreams.
I hope you can read it one day.
Yours,
Li Hua
