克里斯托弗·哥伦布
What are this person’s achievements?
What’s people’s comment on this person?
Columbus’s biggest achievement was that he “discovered” the Americas for Europeans. His voyages made more Europeans want to come to the new land. This led to the start of a lot of changes. Goods, animals, and plants were exchanged between Europe and the Americas. This was called the Columbian Exchange.
In the past, many people in Europe thought he was a hero. But nowadays, people have different ideas. Some think he brought a lot of trouble to the native people in the Americas.
What’s your opinion on this person?
Columbus was a brave man. He had big dreams and wasn’t afraid to take risks. But we also need to remember the bad things that happened because of his “discovery”. We should learn from history and think about how to make better choices when we explore new things.
