2.中频考点:数字计算题;
第一步:审读题干,提取关键信息;
第二步:速读定位原文信息句,将试题信息与原文信息进行语义转换;
第一步:审读题干,提取关键信息;
第二步:速读定位原文中包含该信息的相关段落;
第一步:审读题干和四个选项的内容;
第二步:利用首尾,排除掉部分选项,缩小范围;
第三步:如排序内容较多,再查看剩余选项的异同处,缩小范围;
第一步:审读题干,提取关键信息;
第二步:速读定位原文信息句,将试题信息与原文信息进行语义转换;
(2) 抓住特定信息进行逆向或正向推理:在原文中确定推理依据的位置或范围后,要善于抓住关键信息去分析判断;
根据题干中表达情感的形容词、副词、动词或介词短语等,如attitude(态度),disagree(不同意),hopefully(有希望的),against(反对), in favor of(赞成), 迅速确定题型。
(4) 分析修饰语和字里行间所隐含的意思,切忌用自己观点代替作者或文中人物的观点;
根据题干关键词purpose(目的),intend to(打算),want to tell us ...(想要告诉我们),write this passage to(写这篇文章为了)迅速确定题型。
(1) 根据文章或段落主旨推断作者写作意图;
记叙文:通常会在首段或尾段出现高度概括性语言,且往往有一定的哲理性,所有叙述都围绕该哲理展开(to tell a story, to entertain readers, to share an experience...)
有时作者会通过给词汇下定义来帮助读者理解该词的基本含义,如线索词that is, or, namely, in other words, that is to say, to be more exact, to put it another way, which is等。
线索词such as, such...as, for example, for instance, like , including, especially等。
表达对比或转折关系的词需注意but, yet, however, while, unlike, instead, similarly, on the contrary, in contrast to等。
根据线索词as, since, because, for , so, therefore, due to, result in, as a result, for this reason, so...that, such...that等可知上下句存在因果,从而依据某一句的含义,来确定另一句的含义。
一般来说,it/this/that指代一件事; it/he/them/they/one/those指代上文提到的人或事。
What is the text mainly about?
What is the best title for the text?
What can be a suitable title for the text?
What's the first/second/third....paragraph mainly about?
What's the main idea discussed in the first/second/.. paragraph?
① 正面肯定法:在理解文章主旨的基础上,揣摩哪个选项能准确概括主旨;
② 反面否定法:撇开原文,设想各选项写出来应是什么样的文章,然后和原文比对,逐一排除不符项;
1. 列举处:如first(1y)、second(1y)、third(1y)finally、not only„but also、then、in addition等表示顺承关系的词处常命题。
2. 例证处,如as、such as、for example、for instance等词处常命题。
3. 在转折或对比处,如however、but、yet、while、in fact、unlike、until、not so much…as等词处常命题。
表示列举的词:for example, for instance;表罗列的词:first,second, third, to begin with,to conclude;
表转折: however, but;
表原因: because, since,as;
表结果:so,therefore, thus, as a result;
表对照:on the contrary, by contrast;
表目的: so that, in order that等。

Many people are trying to learn a new language. Some consider it a hobby. Others have to learn a language because of their jobs or studies. As a foreigner who is really interested in Chinese culture, I like learning Chinese.
It is thought that a person needs to know at least 3,000 Chinese characters (汉字) to understand most Chinese newspapers. The problem for most foreigners, however, is that knowing 3,000 characters sounds like an impossible task, because many of the Chinese characters look the same. That’s why some people give up halfway. It’s the most arduous part for me, too. But I managed to learn how to write each character by watching videos online. Whenever I saw a character I didn’t know in the street or on a menu, I would just write it down on my phone and then look it up. Slowly, I’ve learned the common characters in daily life.
It’s also important to listen to Chinese as much as possible. I downloaded (下载) a lot of listening materials onto my phone and listened to them on the way to school and work. I also watched a lot of Chinese TV shows and films, where the words are not so difficult, and there are always subtitles (字幕). It’s really helpful for my listening.
As for speaking, I practice talking about different topics in Chinese when I am walking around, talking to myself or in my head, thinking through different conversations and situations. For example, whenever I was going to a shop, I would think about how to say that in Chinese. It helps me to think in a Chinese way, which is really important.
Learning a language is never easy. As for me, I just use every tool on hand and take my learning step by step, and I’m still learning new things to this day!
16.Why does the author learn Chinese?
A.Because he needs to work in China.
B.Because he wants to move to China.
C.Because he wants to have Chinese friends.
D.Because he hopes to know more about China.
17.What does the underlined word “arduous” in Paragraph 2 mean?
A.Difficult. B.Important. C.Impossible. D.Relaxing.
18.What is the main way of practicing speaking for the author?
A.Traveling around China. B.Thinking like a Chinese.
C.Watching Chinese movies. D.Reading Chinese newspapers.
19.What does the author suggest (暗示) at the end of the passage?
A.It is easy to talk with Chinese people.
B.It is a wise decision to learn a language.
C.It takes time and effort to learn a language.
D.Chinese is not as difficult as you may think.
20.Which of the following is the right structure (结构) of the passage? (Para. 1=①; Para. 2=②…)
A.①/②③/④⑤ B.①②/③④/⑤
C.①/②③④/⑤ D.①②/③④⑤

Deserts may seem lifeless, but in fact, many kinds of living things have developed special ways to live in the hard environments. You may think that there are no people living in desert areas. But actually, more than one billion people, one-sixth of the Earth’s population, live there.
So what is a desert? Deserts cover more than one-fifth of the Earth’s land area, and they are found on every continent (洲). A place that receives less than 25 cm of rain every year is considered a desert. Only about 20% of deserts are covered by sand. Some have mountains, rocks or lakes.
The largest hot desert in the world, northern Africa’s Sahara, even reached temperatures of up to 56℃. But some deserts are always cold, like the Gobi Desert in Asia and the Antarctic Ice Sheet (南极冰盖), which is the world’s coldest. The coldest recorded temperature there is -89℃. The driest desert Chile’s Atacama Desert has parts that receive less than 2 mm of rain a year.
Desert animals have their own ways to keep cool and use less water. Camels can go for weeks without water. Many desert animals spend much of their time underground to keep cool. Desert plants may have to live without fresh water for years at a time. Some plants grow long roots (根) that get water from deep in the Earth. Other plants have roots that spread out a long way so they can take in the rain as soon as it falls, such as cactuses (仙人掌).
Life is hard in the desert for animals and plants. But they’ve got used to the life there.

B.How desert animals and plants survive the hard environments.
C.Why desert animals and plants can live without fresh water.
D.Why the hot and dry weather has no influence on desert lives.
25.Where can you probably find this passage?
A.A history book. B.A tourist guidebook.

Do you know potatoes can be turned into rice? In Yunnan, China, a factory makes special rice from potatoes. The factory uses new technology to change potatoes into small rice-like pieces.
China is one of the largest potato producers in the world. Potatoes, as well as wheat, rice and corn, are among the most important crops in China. However, potatoes have much water inside. If the correct ways can’t be found to keep them, they will go bad easily. It leads to tons of waste. Potato rice technology can help keep potatoes longer and reduce waste.
There are many advantages of potato rice. First, it keeps 90% of potato nutrition (营养) and has 27% more protein (蛋白质) than normal rice. Second, it hardly raises blood sugar. Speaking of buying rice, it is usually the first choice for people who want to control their blood sugar. What’s more, it’s easy to cook because there is no need to wash it. When people cook it, they can use less water. Potato rice cooks faster than normal rice.
However, every coin has two sides. Although potato rice has entered the market, it still has a long way to go. Potato rice is much more expensive than normal rice because the factory needs 2.5 tons of potatoes to produce 1 ton of potato rice. It costs 33 yuan every kilo, but normal rice costs only 4-6 yuan every kilo.
Experts say that future research will pay more attention to reducing the costs and improving the taste.
26.What is the special rice made from?
A.Wheat. B.Potatoes. C.Tomatoes. D.Corn.
27.Who will most probably buy potato rice according to the passage?
A.People who are losing weight. B.People with high blood sugar.
C.People who like eating potatoes. D.People with good cooking skills.
28.How is potato rice different from normal rice?
A.It is cheaper. B.It needn’t be washed.
C.It has 90% more protein. D.It needs more water when cooking.
29.What will future research pay attention to?
A.The sugar. B.The protein.
C.The cooking time. D.The costs and taste.
30.What is the main purpose of this passage?
A.To learn about a factory in Yunnan. B.To talk about the price of potato rice.
C.To introduce a new kind of healthy food. D.To teach people how to cook potato rice.
Nowadays, some companies around the world are now offering humanoid (human-like) robots. They are being designed (设计) to look as human as possible. These products of technology are at the center of a debate (辩论): Should they be made to look like humans or just like what they are machines?
Robots are playing an increasingly bigger role in our lives. In some countries, robots have been entertaining kids and helping the elderly. Some experts say robots will be more effective at such jobs if they look like humans. Research has shown that people feel closer to human-like robots. Also, human-like robots suit environments that are designed for humans. After all, the world is full of stairs (楼梯), hallways, shelves at shoulder height and sightlines at eye level.
But other experts say robots don’t need to look like humans. Humanoid robots also have disadvantages. If robots look like us, we may expect them to act like us. However, they may make us disappointed because they can’t always do that yet. For example, they can’t laugh at the right moments during a conversation. Many people also find human-like robots scary.
I think the human body is not the best design for many of the jobs we want robots to do. Just think of small, flat robot vacuums They can go under a sofa to pick up the dust balls. Can human-like robots also do this? Even if robots can be made into humanlike ones, why do we limit (限定) them to two legs and two arms? Why not four and six so they can pick up the elderly or sick people comfortably? And that super intelligent AI almost certainly wouldn’t pick one body design to carry its mind around in. Why limit computational capacity (算力) to what fits inside a single head?
What’s your opinion about robots’ shapes?
31.According to the second paragraph, the reasons why robots should be designed to look like humans include ________.

People are talking a lot about artificial intelligence (AI), viewing it as a force that could reshape how society works. But there is something important missing from this discussion. It isn’t enough to ask how it will change us. We also need to understand how we shape AI and what it can tell us about ourselves.
Every AI model we develop mirrors our rules and expresses our beliefs. A few years ago, while looking for new workers, a famous company gave up an AI-powered tool after finding it unfavorable to women. The AI was not designed to behave this way, instead, it was influenced by the historical data (数据) favoring men. Similarly, a recent study found that lending algorithms (算法) often offer less favorable terms to colored people, worsening long-standing unfairness in money-lending business. In both cases, AI isn’t creating new biases (偏见), it is mirroring the ones that are already present.
These reflections (反映) give us an important chance to take a close look at ourselves. By making these problems seen and more pressing, AI challenges us to recognize and address what causes algorithmic bias. As AI continues to develop, we must ask ourselves how we as average people want to shape its role in society. We should not only improve AI models, but also make sure that AI is developed and used responsibly.
A number of companies are already taking action. They are judging the data, rules, and beliefs that shape the behavior of AI models. Still, we cannot expect the companies to do all the work. As long as AI is trained on human data, it will reflect human behavior. That means we have to think carefully about the footprints of ourselves we leave in the world. I may value privacy, but if I give it up in a heartbeat to visit a website, the algorithms may make a very different judgment of what I really want and what is good for me. If I want meaningful human connections yet spend more time on social media and less time in the physical company of my friends, I am indirectly training AI models about the true nature of humanity.
As AI becomes more powerful, we need to take increasing care to read our principles (原则) into the record of our actions rather than allowing the two to diverge. Recognizing this allows us to make better decisions, but only when we are prepared to look closely and take responsibility for what we see.
35.Why does the writer introduce the two examples in Paragraph 2?
A.To suggest a solution. B.To stress a difference.
C.To challenge a practice. D.To support a viewpoint.
36.What does the word “diverge” in the last paragraph most probably mean?
A.Improve. B.Appear. C.Separate. D.Repeat.
37.According to the passage, what is a good example of shaping AI responsibility?
A.Guarding one’s privacy against AI models. B.Being mindful of our feeds into AI models.
C.Training algorithms to favor the latest data. D.Designing algorithms to deal with unfairness.
38.Which of the following is the best title for this passage?
A.AI Isn’t the Problem; We Are B.AI: A Tool to Reshape Our Society
C.More Open algorithms for Better AI? D.Building Trust in Human-AI Relationships

The Best Time to Visit ChinaYou may think the best time to travel in China is almost all year round. China is such a large country that you can always find a nice place to travel to each month. However, spring and autumn are widely regarded as the top choices.
When Is China at Its Best?Spring (March-May) and autumn (September-November) are the ideal times to enjoy pleasant weather and beautiful natural scenery. Autumn is a great season for nature lovers, photographers (摄影师) and anyone who enjoys being outdoors.
What If You Can Only Travel in Summer or Winter?☆ Choose the Lesser-known Routes (路线)
Most famous places have more than one way to visit. Instead of visiting the most crowded places, pick a less popular section or route nearby.

☆ Avoid the High Season
Try not to travel from August 1st to 15th, as it is the busiest travel season. If you prefer a less crowded trip, late June is a good choice. However, avoid southern cities like Guilin and Guangzhou during this time, as they often experience heavy rain.
☆ Winter Travel Tips
If you choose to travel in winter, you’ll enjoy fewer crowds and lower prices in most places. You can also enjoy winter festivals, such as the Harbin Ice and Snow Festival.
☆ Consider Working with a Local Travel Agency (旅行社)
A thoughtfully planned route can turn a busy day into a surprisingly smooth experience. You can consider choosing a local travel agency, which can make travel plans just for you and your family. You just need to tell the agency your travel goals, time and other needs.

Lando Norris’ dream of a Formula 1 (一级方程式赛车) drivers’ title has come true. On December 7, 2025, he finally won the first world title of his career. Congratulations!
When the last race of the F1 season ended, Norris screamed on the team radio. He was super excited to become world No. 1! Then we heard him say: “I love you guys (his team members). I love you, Mum. I love you, Dad. Thanks for everything. I’m not crying!” Well, while he was saying this, tears were actually rolling down his face inside his helmet. He had every right to be in tears because his path to victory had been so hard.
Lando began racing at a young age. When he entered F1 in 2019, everyone had high hopes for him. However, he didn’t have very good results. He made mistakes and didn’t win any race until the 2024 Miami Grand Prix Some unkind people called him Lando “No-wins.” They laughed at him and doubted his abilities and skills.
Lando was once very sad about this. But he managed to keep positive and continued to work hard. He turned the doubts and criticism (批判) into fuel to become a better driver and person. Finally, he answered all the doubters and critics with his first F1 world title.
Lando may not look very cool or have a strong personality like the other world champions before him, but he works hard for every race and plays fair; he supports his team and even stays to help mechanics (机械师) take apart the cars after races. I, a student from Africa, volunteered (自愿服务) at Tianjin Railway Station while others relaxed during the May Day holiday. It was my first time volunteering in China. I thought my job of giving directions would be simple and easy, but I quickly realised that it was much more than what I had expected.
At the information booth (咨询亭), two friendly Chinese students taught me some Chinese traditions. They said I should speak slowly and not point with my finger. Instead, I should use my whole palm (手掌) because pointing is impolite in China.
At first, people didn’t talk to me because they didn’t think I could speak Chinese. So, I greeted (问候) everyone with a big smile and said “Welcome! How can I help you?” in Chinese. They were surprised and felt more comfortable.
One family from Shaanxi also communicated with me. Their 7-year-old son called me “Waiguoren” in a happy voice. And I smiled and asked if they needed help. Then, the father started talking to me. He had a strong accent (口音). I struggled at first, but soon we talked not just about tourist information but also about our cultures.
He asked why many Africans eat with their hands instead of chopsticks. I told him that it’s part of our culture—many traditional dishes are better enjoyed with hands, and chopsticks simply wouldn’t work for certain foods. When asked if I could use chopsticks, I told him it took me years to learn. And we both laughed. I also asked about his home town, Shaanxi. He told me about its importance on the ancient Silk Road. He also told me a lot about Xi’an, the capital city with the Terracotta Warriors.
This experience taught me that a smile and an open mind can bridge cultures. I learnt a lot about China and loved my volunteering time.

Zhang Xuefeng, a prominent Chinese postgraduate entrance examination tutor known for his high-energy lectures and motivational style, died of sudden cardiac arrest (心脏骤停) on March 24, after collapsing while running in Suzhou, Jiangsu province. He was 41.
Zhang had reportedly finished 72 kilometers of running this month. His death highlights how even physically active individuals can remain vulnerable (脆弱的) to hidden cardiovascular (心血管的) risks. Specialists recommend that those experiencing unusual fatigue (疲乏) or breathlessness during exercise seek medical attention immediately.
Doctors say the body often sends warning signals before a deadly event. A study in the Annals of Internal Medicine found that more than half of patients experience symptoms (症状) within the 24 hours preceding the event, such as chest pain or extreme fatigue. “These symptoms are often the body’s last warning,” said Zhang Ling, an internist at the China-Japan Friendship Hospital in Beijing. “But many people dismiss them as simple fatigue.”
Zhang noted that lifestyle changes linked to China’s rapid economic development—including diets high in processed food, long working hours, and long - term lack of sleep—have increased cardiovascular burden. She cautioned that intense exercise can be dangerous when the body is already severely fatigued.
“Heart disease is no longer just an elderly person’s problem,” said Zhou Dongchen, a physician at the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine. “We are seeing a clear shift toward younger age groups, particularly middle-aged men.”
Because over 90 percent of sudden cardiac deaths occur outside of hospitals, Zhang Ling emphasized the necessity of emergency preparedness. “In cardiac arrest, the first few minutes are critical,” she said. “Immediate CPR and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) can make the difference between life and death.”

①Life is full of moments, but some are “special” and stay in our hearts forever. For example, the first time you rode a bike alone, a friend’s hug when you were sad, or in the evening talking with family. These moments aren’t always big, but they change how we feel about ourselves and the world.
②Special moments are like treasures. We don’t need to write them down—our hearts remember them. A teacher might praise a shy student’s drawing, making the child feel important. A parent could bake cookies with you on a rainy day, filling the kitchen with laughter. Even strangers can create them: a barista who knows your coffee order, or a neighbor who helps carry groceries. These small acts stay in our minds because they make us feel loved.
③Businesses also use special moments. A café might play soft music and serve warm cookies on cold days to make customers feel welcome. A bookstore could hold story time for kids every weekend, turning a visit into a happy memory. An ice-cream shop lets customers decorate their own cones (冰淇淋蛋筒)—seeing a child smile while adding something is a moment everyone remembers.
④In the end, special moments are everywhere. They don’t need money or planning—just a little care. A kind word, a smile, or a small surprise can make life richer. So take time to enjoy these moments—they make life worth living.
26.Which of the following is NOT mentioned as a special moment in Paragraph ①?
A.The first time you rode a bike alone.
B.A friend’s hug when you were sad.

D.Where to find the most expensive treasures.

People read books less often these days. With the invention of radio, television and most recently, the Internet and computer games, it seems that reading books is no longer a popular activity. However, I believe that books are an important part of our lives.
Books offer an outstanding wealth of learning and at a cheaper price than taking a course. Books can make people cleverer, because heavy readers have greater knowledge of how things work and who or what people were.
Everything in today’s society requires reading. Imagine trying to do something as simple as reading the directions on a medicine bottle without good reading skills. Someone could not understand them and become very sick or even die.
Even something as simple as walking or driving through the city could become very dangerous without enough reading. Sometimes, you must be able to understand what is written and explain the meaning of them.
Some people say that reading is a waste of time and we can do better things with our time. Even if we don’t read books, we still read every day, and reading books can strengthen (加强) our abilities. Reading is one of the greatest things we can do in our spare time.
With a book, you can travel anywhere you want, do anything you want, and talk to anyone you want. Reading is very important in our lives, no matter your age. So I think people should read books.

Reading is a lifelong journey. With the rapid development of digital technology, more people choose to read e-books on phones or tablets. However, paper books still keep their special charm and cannot be completely replaced.
A study shows that reading paper books helps people focus better. When people read e-books, they may be influenced by message reminders, short videos and other online information. It is easy for readers to lose their attention. But paper books have no extra distractions. People can put themselves into stories and enjoy quiet reading time.
Paper reading is also better for physical health. Long-time staring at electronic screens will cause eye strain and dry eyes. Paper books with soft paper and proper colors reduce eye pressure. What’s more, holding a real book, turning pages and smelling the ink flavor bring people a special sense of satisfaction.
Some people say e-books are convenient and save space. It is true that we can store hundreds of books on a small mobile device. But paper books can be collected and kept for many years. Many people like to write down notes or mark key sentences in paper books. These marks record readers’ thoughts and become precious memories over time.
In fact, e-books and paper books are not opposite. We can choose different reading ways in different situations. Reading should be a happy experience, no matter in which form.
36.What is the advantage of paper books according to Paragraph 2?
A.They take up little space. B.They help readers focus.

Do your eyes need everyday attention?
When/Where did the story happen?
Who put rubbish into different bags?
On the first day of school, our professor introduced a little old lady to us.
问题:Who did the professor introduce on the first day of school?
A little old lady.
What is the main idea of the passage? /What is the passage mainly about? /What is the purpose of the writer’s writing the passage? /What does Paragraph 3 mainly tell us? /What does the writer want to tell us?
What did the writer do for the girl?
(1) What do you think of...? why do you think so?
(2) What can we do in daily life to...?

Some bright sparks (火花) light up the night sky, creating a fantastic rain of flowers. This exciting performance is Striking Iron Flower (打铁花). It is a traditional folk art form, and it has been around for more than 1,000 years in China. It is deeply rooted (根植) in traditional Chinese culture.

Jiang Zhaopeng, an 18-year-old student, faced a life-or-death test on Saturday—not in an exam hall, but in the backseat of a car, where he performed life-saving CPR on a classmate who went into a heart attack.
Jiang and his classmate were heading to take the spring college entrance exam when the emergency happened unexpectedly.
At about 8:10 a.m., the two got into a taxi to the testing site. Just a minute later, Jiang’s classmate fell onto his knee. “I thought he was just tired at first,” Jiang said. But then the classmate began breathing with difficulty and kicking the front seat before suddenly going limp (瘫软). He soon stopped breathing.
Jiang remembered the first aid lessons from school. He quickly laid his classmate down and began CPR.
“Go to the hospital,” Jiang told the driver, Wang Tao. Wang called the local traffic police and sped to the hospital, running six red lights and arriving in just seven minutes—half the usual time.

People are once again impressed by a recent science fiction movie. In the movie, people on a desert planet wear special suits that turn sweat (汗水) into clean drinking water. Sounds like magic? In fact, in some water-short places on Earth, people recycle waste water in similar ways. Even astronauts in space recycle their water!
You might think, “We have plenty of water on Earth.” But actually, clean water is limited. Some countries are developing better ways to save water. In Germany, there’s an amazing waste water reuse system. This new system separates waste water into different types.
—Rainwater is collected to water the gardens.
—“Gray water” from kitchen and bathroom sinks is used to flush toilets.
—“Black water” from toilets is sent to a local factory to be turned into biogas (沼气).
The purpose of the system is not only to reduce water use but also to provide power for local people.
Perhaps more countries can follow this example. The challenge lies with old houses. Using these new systems in old buildings costs a lot. However, people once thought LED lights were expensive too. Now they’re everywhere. This time, we can make similar changes to save water.
Remember, every drop counts! By using water wisely today. We can make sure there’s enough clean water for everyone tomorrow.
11.What do people wear to get clean drinking water in the movie?
12.How many types of waste water are reused in the new system?
13.What is one of the purposes of the new system in Germany?
14.Why is it a challenge to fix new systems in old buildings?
15.What does the writer advise us to do in the last paragraph?

These years, many college students choose to join the army (军队) after graduation. Zhao Huan is one of them.
When Zhao Huan was 26 years old, he joined the army and became one of the soldiers (战士) on the top of Changbai Mountain in Jilin Province. The three-year life in the army made him really strong-willed
The weather on the mountain is terrible in winter. The snow can reach as deep as 2 metres. The lowest temperature can be -40℃. There are over 200 days a year when the wind speed is nearly 12 metres per second. “It is very difficult to fall asleep with the wind outside crying like a wolf,” Zhao said. Life was hard because of the weather. When the snow cut off the roads, the soldiers needed water most. They had to heat the snow to get water to drink, cook and wash with. To save water, they only took a bath once a month.
Even so, Zhao and his team did not give up. Whatever difficulties they met, they tried their best to finish their tasks. Especially when they were on duty outside in winter, snow hit their faces and they were frozen because of the low temperature. But they put their duty before anything and stood like a statue without a slight move.
Zhao said, “Life is not easy on the top of Changbai Mountain. Thinking of the lights of thousands of homes, I think my efforts pay off. For me, all the difficulties can be overcome in the future. The experience of being a soldier here really means a lot to me.”
16.How old was Zhao Huan when he joined the army?
17.How is the weather on the mountain in winter?
18.What did the soldiers need most when the snow cut off the roads?
19.Did Zhao and his team give up when they met difficulties?

In 1876, Alexander Graham Bell made a great invention—the telephone. For the first time in history, people could talk to someone far away just like they were in the same room. But today, phones can do much more than just make calls!
The story of mobile phones began with two-way radios. These early devices (设备) had a big problem—they only worked when people were close to each other. In the 1940s, smart scientists found a way. They built tall radio towers across the country to pass signals (信号) easily.
Everything changed in 1973 when Dr. Martin Cooper made the first real mobile phone call. During the 1980s, mobile phones became smaller but were still very expensive. Only rich business people could afford them, and the phones looked like big plastic bricks.
The 1990s brought another big change. Phones became cheaper and smaller, fitting easily in pockets. Soon, almost everyone had one. Text messaging became popular. People started writing short messages instead of making phone calls. Meeting time became more flexible (灵活的) because you could just text “I’ll be 15 minutes late.”
Now we have smartphones—like powerful mini-computers in our pockets. We use them to take photos, watch videos, play games, and even help with housework! Messaging apps let us send videos and long messages easily. While phones help us stay connected, some people worry that we spend too much time on them.
Looking back, it’s amazing how phones have changed. From Bell’s simple telephone to today’s smartphones, this has truly changed our lives. What will phones be able to do next? Only time will tell!
21.When did Alexander Graham Bell invent the telephone?
22.Why did scientists build tall radio towers in the 1940s?
23.Who made the first real mobile phone call?
24.How can smartphones help us in our lives?

Something unusual happened here yesterday afternoon. As heavy rain began to fall around 4 p.m., people ran to find a dry place. But one elderly man continued to sit alone at a stone chess table. He stayed there all the time, getting completely wet in the cold rain.
Many people walking by noticed the man and became worried. Mrs. Chen, a woman living near the park, was one of them. “I saw him when the rain started, and he was still there two hours later.” said Mrs. Chen, “I went over and asked if he needed an umbrella or any help. He didn’t seem to hear me. He was just staring at the empty chessboard.” Another person was so worried that they almost called the police, thinking the man might be in trouble.
Our reporter later learned the reason for the man’s strange behavior. A friend of the man, Mr. Lee, came to the park to find him. He explained that his friend was a huge chess lover. “We played a game earlier, and he lost because of one bad move.” said Mr. Lee. “He was very close to winning. He wasn’t angry, but he needed time to think about his mistake. When he got focused on (专注于) chess, he forgot about everything else — even a big storm!”
The rain kept falling. Finally, at around 8 o’clock in the evening, Mr. Lee helped his friend to stand up and they walked home together. Seeing the elderly man leaving, Mrs. Chen felt happy. “He must have such great passion (热爱) for chess. What do I really love?” Mrs. Chen was deep in thought.
1.What was the old man doing when the heavy rain started?
2.Why didn’t the old man leave the park in the storm?
3.How long did the old man stay in the rain before he finally walked home?
4.How did Mrs. Chen feel at the beginning and at the end?
5.Do you have a passion like the elderly man? What does it bring to your life?

On March 20, 2026, China saw a rare mix of sky events and cultural traditions. The traditional Dragon Head Raising Festival happened on the same day as the Spring Equinox (春分)—a special meeting that takes place about once every 19 years. The next one will happen in 2045.
Celebrated on the second day of the second lunar month, the Dragon Head Raising Festival gets its meaning from ancient ideas about nature and new beginnings. In Chinese stories, the dragon wakes up with spring thunder, bringing life back to the land. For many people, the day marks a fresh start and carries the promise of a good harvest.
Well-loved traditions continue across the country. Many choose to get a haircut, a practice meant to leave behind bad luck and welcome new chances. Special “dragon-themed” foods are also widely enjoyed: spring pancakes for dragon scales, noodles for dragon whiskers (龙须面), and wontons (馄饨) for dragon eyes. These dishes carry sincere wishes for health and good luck. Some families use herbs (草药) to drive away insects, expressing hopes for health and successful farming.
The Spring Equinox, one of China’s 24 Solar Terms, arrives as the sun crosses the equator (赤道), making day and night almost equal in length around the world. As temperatures rise, swallows return, and thunder becomes more common. With good weather, enough rain and bright sunshine, crops grow quickly, making the equinox very important for farming.
The coming together of these two events carries double meaning. The festival stands for rain, energy and the start of spring farming. The equinox represents balance, harmony (和谐) and natural growth. Together, they show the deep connection between Chinese culture and nature, and express people’s common hope for good weather and fruitful years.
6.How often does the special meeting take place?
7.Where does the Dragon Head Raising Festival get its meaning from?
8.Why do many people choose to get a haircut on the second day of the second lunar month?
9.Why is the Spring Equinox important for farming?
10.What do you think of Chinese cultural traditions?

I’ve been learning Chinese for years, and finally I could be there with my family! When entering a tea house in Hangzhou, I was greatly amazed by the tea art show. The slow, wonderful performance of the tea master brought me closer to the beauty of Chinese culture. Before leaving, I bought a tea cup with my first try of phone payment. How convenient it was! Later, I lost my way back to the hotel. Luckily, a little girl noticed my embarrassing situation and pointed me in the right direction. Along the way, she treated me to some local desserts and recommended places worth visiting. What an unforgettable day I spent here!
Lee (South Korea, 16)
I couldn’t wait to experience China’s modern life before setting off! In Chengdu, I hung out at a night market where I bought spicy beef noodles and some fresh fruit for dinner. The market was filled with lovely things and I also couldn’t help buying a handmade toy. Another evening, I tried to order a taxi to Sichuan Opera Center but failed to understand the app. A college volunteer from Sichuan University helped me book the ride. Soon, the driver arrived and picked me up right where I stood — No waiting long in the cold street! By the way, the face-changing performances were so amazing and I learned it’s a treasure of local culture with a long history.
Olivia (UK, 15)
Experiencing different cultures is my top interest, so my journey to Xi’an ended up like a dream come true. After visiting the Terracotta Army (兵马俑), I wanted to buy a “soldier” model as a souvenir (纪念品). A staff there helped me order one on Taobao and said it would be sent straight to my home in just a week! The next day, I took part in a paper-cutting activity where I met a warm-hearted local instructor At first, I meant to cut the red paper into a flower, but unexpectedly failed. However, with the instructor’s careful instruction and warm encouragement, I could finally manage to create an artwork!

During the holiday, I went with my parents to visit my grandparents in the countryside. When Grandma said they had been very busy with farm work, I decided to stay overnight at their house to help. I had always dreamed of living like the people in the peaceful countryside videos—planting seeds, watering fields and enjoying nature.
That night, I could hardly sleep out of excitement. Early the next morning, Grandma woke me up at 5:30 to collect eggs. The air outside was cool and fresh, but a strong smell came from the chicken house. I held my breath and followed her inside.
Grandma opened a small window and reminded me to move quickly but lightly so as not to make the hens (母鸡) afraid. Taking a deep breath, I slowly reached for the eggs. Just then, one hen stood up! I gave a little cry but managed to pick up the eggs. They felt warm in my hands—very different from the cold eggs from the fridge.
Later, we watered the field, added fertilizer (肥料), and picked a basket of vegetables. By dinner time, I was so tired that I fell asleep on the sofa. When I finally sat down to eat, I realized every dish was the fruit of our hard work. That day, I didn’t just help on the farm—I also learned to respect the effort behind every meal.

With the development of education, most students are having a better school life. It’s even believed that in the future, more and more students will enjoy their school days more fully. Here are five tips for a better school life.
1. Get to class on time!
Sure, it’s tempting (诱人的) to sleep in and be late. But teachers say you should always get to class on time. In the past, students had to walk a long way to school. They were always on time because they had no choice. Think about it: Do you have the same sense of responsibility as they did in the past?
2. Study hard!
It’s important to study subjects that interest you, such as math and science. Playing video games is not helpful for your studies. You should only do it once in a while. Spending too much time on the wrong activities will harm your grades.
3. ________________
When we were young, we played with our neighbors. Teenagers do not need as many friends as when they were children, but it’s important to have a few good friends. At weekends, you’ve got more time, so use it not just for fun, but for making friends too.
4. Don’t be nervous. Be confident!
Many people believe that confidence is important for our success. Sometimes it is not easy to be a teenager because of the challenges of school, tests, or relationships. If you’re worried about something, talk to your parents or your teacher.
5. Say no to cheating!
Yes, you knew I was going to say this! It’s so important. Cheating is not smart. It is harmful. It harms your character and your future. Think about how your teachers and friends will feel, and think about what it will do to your reputation (名誉).
23.Why were the students in the past always on time?
24.Why should you only play video games once in a while?
25.Complete the sentence in the blank with proper words.
26.According to Tip 4, if you are worried about something, what should you do?
27.What does the underlined word “It” in the last paragraph refer to (指代)?

If you’re new to volunteering, you might feel both excited and a little nervous—but it’s easier to start than you think! Here’s how to begin your volunteering journey.
First, think about your interests and skills. Do you love animals, want to help kids, or care about the environment? Are you good at talking to people or drawing? Choosing a volunteer role that matches your interests and skills will make it more enjoyable.
Next, decide how much time you can spend volunteering. Maybe you can spare a few hours each month or several hours a week. Be honest with yourself about your free time. This will help you find chances that fit your timetable.
Then, choose the organizations you’re interested in and ask them a few questions: What will you do? How much training will you receive? What difference will your work make? This helps you know if the role is right for you. Don’t be afraid to start small! Try one-time or short-term activities first. For example, you can clean a park or help at a community event.
Remember, volunteering isn’t always easy. You might face new challenges or feel tired sometimes. However, these experiences can help you grow. You’ll also make new friends and develop useful skills for your future. So take that first step, and you’ll be glad!
All of the above mainly tells us how to start volunteering easily. It also shows ______________________.

Shanxi is home to the largest number of ancient buildings in China. Xuankong Temple is no doubt one of the most wonderful ones of such a saying.
Made of wood, tiles and stones during the mid-Northern Wei Dynasty, the temple is made up of two three-story pavilions (亭阁) and a yard linked by stairs and steps. The stairs and steps are lined along the surface of a sheer cliff (陡峭的悬崖) rising 50 meters above a stream at the foot of the mountain.
Seen from below, Xuankong Temple, which means “temple hanging in the sky”, appears terribly dangerous. It is supported only by a few thin stanchions (支柱) standing on protruding (伸出的) rocks. For that reason, it was selected by Time magazine as one of the 10 most dangerous buildings in the world in 2010.
Sun Shupeng, an engineer, however, disagreed with the idea that Xuankong Temple is a dangerous structure. “The temple has been standing firmly on the Hengshan cliff for more than 1,500 years and is still kept complete and strong” he said. “A study of the temple is an exploration of an ancient Chinese engineering wonder.”
Sun said the stanchions were only added recently as a comfort to visitors. About twenty thin square beams (梁) support most of the building’s weight. A number of large, deep holes were dug into the cliff’s surface, and two-thirds of the length of the beams together with wedges (楔子) were driven into each one.
In addition to its strong building, local people have found that the part of cliff above the temple acts like an umbrella to protect the temple from rain and sunlight. In summer, when the daytime is the longest, the temple only receives about two hours of direct sunlight a day during the morning.
The narrow valley it faces also changes the direction of airflow. The wind usually blows toward the cliff facing the temple, but rarely reaches the temple.
33.Where is Xuankong Temple built?
34.Why was Xuankong Temple one of the 10 most dangerous buildings?
35.How long has Xuankong Temple been standing firmly on the cliff?
36.What protects the temple from rain and sunlight?
37.Do you think Xuankong Temple is a dangerous building? Why or why not?

③根据文意和首字母提示填空;
④根据语境提示填空;
常见考点包括不定式作宾语补足语(ask sb. to do)、动名词作介词宾语(succeed in doing)和现在分词作伴随状语。
根据与逻辑主语的关系选择to do(目的、将来)、doing(主动、进行)或done(被动、完成)。
主要涉及动词短语中的介词(look forward to)、形容词短语中的介词(be familiar with)以及固定介词短语(in the morning)。
时态题:寻找时间标志词(如since, so far, in recent years)或通过上下文语境确定动作发生的时间。
(1)必考点:动词(2~4个)、名词(1~2个)、形容词(1~2个)、代词(1个);
(2)高频考点:连词、副词、介词、宾语从句/定语从句引导词;

DO YOU KNOW?Astronauts can eat in space, even when they’re upside down. You could also try this on Earth. Why doesn’t the food fall out when you do it?A.Because gravity (重力) does not affect food once it enters your body.
B.Because food is not a liquid (液体), it doesn’t easily come back out.
C. Because the “gate” between your esophagus (食道) and your stomach closes.
D.Because the stomach becomes larger to hold the food back.
The correct answer 41 “C”. Our body moves food inside using muscle contractions (肌肉收缩), not gravity.
42 we eat, the act of swallowing (吞咽) pushes food into the esophagus. The esophagus gets wider 43 adds liquid to help it go down. Muscles in the esophagus then contract in 44 wave-like movement to push the food into the stomach.
Once food reaches the stomach, the “gate” 45 the esophagus and stomach closes. Even if you’re upside down, food won’t come back up. Although the journey through the digestive system (消化系统) is long, muscle contractions help food reach the end.

2.中频考点:数字计算题;
第一步:审读题干,提取关键信息;
第二步:速读定位原文信息句,将试题信息与原文信息进行语义转换;
第一步:审读题干,提取关键信息;
第二步:速读定位原文中包含该信息的相关段落;
第一步:审读题干和四个选项的内容;
第二步:利用首尾,排除掉部分选项,缩小范围;
第三步:如排序内容较多,再查看剩余选项的异同处,缩小范围;
第一步:审读题干,提取关键信息;
第二步:速读定位原文信息句,将试题信息与原文信息进行语义转换;
(2) 抓住特定信息进行逆向或正向推理:在原文中确定推理依据的位置或范围后,要善于抓住关键信息去分析判断;
根据题干中表达情感的形容词、副词、动词或介词短语等,如attitude(态度),disagree(不同意),hopefully(有希望的),against(反对), in favor of(赞成), 迅速确定题型。
(4) 分析修饰语和字里行间所隐含的意思,切忌用自己观点代替作者或文中人物的观点;
根据题干关键词purpose(目的),intend to(打算),want to tell us ...(想要告诉我们),write this passage to(写这篇文章为了)迅速确定题型。
(1) 根据文章或段落主旨推断作者写作意图;
What's the main idea discussed in the first/second/.. paragraph?
① 正面肯定法:在理解文章主旨的基础上,揣摩哪个选项能准确概括主旨;
② 反面否定法:撇开原文,设想各选项写出来应是什么样的文章,然后和原文比对,逐一排除不符项;
1. 列举处:如first(1y)、second(1y)、third(1y)finally、not only„but also、then、in addition等表示顺承关系的词处常命题。
2. 例证处,如as、such as、for example、for instance等词处常命题。
3. 在转折或对比处,如however、but、yet、while、in fact、unlike、until、not so much…as等词处常命题。
表示列举的词:for example, for instance;表罗列的词:first,second, third, to begin with,to conclude;
表转折: however, but;
表原因: because, since,as;
表结果:so,therefore, thus, as a result;
表对照:on the contrary, by contrast;

B.Because he wants to move to China.
C.Because he wants to have Chinese friends.
D.Because he hopes to know more about China.

(Para. 1=①; Para. 2=②…)

21.Which writing skill is used in Paragraph 2?
A.Listing numbers. B.Giving reasons. C.Telling stories. D.Asking questions.

①People feel closer to humanoid robots.
②Robots are widely used in the industrial field.
③Humanoid robots can serve the people effectively.
④Humanoid robots can suit human environments.
A.①②④ B.①③④ C.②③④ D.①②③
32.Other experts don’t agree that robots are designed to look like humans because humanoid robots ________.
A.cost a lot B.can’t cry or laugh
C.can’t have conversations with humans D.can’t always behave like us as we expect
33.What’s the writer’s opinion according to the fourth paragraph?
A.Robots can’t be made to look like humans.
B.Humanoid design is still the best choice for robots.
C.A robot should be designed with more arms, legs and heads.
D.The design of a robot’s shape should depend on its use.
34.What’s the best title of this passage?
A.The Development of Humanoid Robots
B.A Debate about Improving the Services of Robots
C.Should Robots Look like Humans?
D.Different Robots, Different Services

【答案】35.D 36.C 37.B 38.A
根据第二段“In both cases, AI isn’t creating new biases (偏见), it is mirroring the ones that are already present.”
根据“we need to take increasing care to read our principles (原则) into the record of our actions rather than allowing the two to diverge.”
根据“As long as AI is trained on human data, it will reflect human behavior. That means we have to think carefully about the footprints of ourselves we leave in the world.”
A“AI Isn’t the Problem; We Are”最贴合主旨。故选A。

☆ Beat the Crowds
Famous places are usually busiest between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Get an early start around 6 a.m. for a peaceful morning visit. Or go later in the afternoon after 4 p.m., when tour groups start to leave.

Even during hard times, he always had a smile on his face. A person like that isn’t just a champion on the track-he’s a role model off it as well.
11.Why did Lando cry inside his helmet?
A.He regretted his early racing mistakes. B.He was very sad about his past failures.
C.He feared people would still laugh at him. D.He was excited and touched by his hard journey.
12.What does the underlined word “fuel” in Paragraph 4 mean?
A.The energy and drive to keep moving forward.
B.The material used to make machines run.
C.The feeling that stops one from improving.
D.The sadness that makes people give up.
13.Which statement is TRUE according to the passage?
A.Lando won his first race after entering it in 2019.
B.Lando never helps his team fix the cars after races.
C.People laughed at him for his failure for some years.
D.Lando is similar to other champions in personality.
14.Which is the correct order of Lando’s story?
①He won his first F1 world title. ②People called him “No-wins”.
③He entered F1 with high expectations. ④He turned criticism into motivation.
A. ③→②→④→① B.③→④→②→①
C.②→③→①→④ D.②→④→③→①
15.What is the passage mainly about?
A.The rules and history of Formula 1 races. B.Lando’s road to success and his positive spirit.
C.Different opinions on Lando’s racing skills. D.How to become a top racing driver quickly.
11.D 12.A 13.C 14.A 15.B

C.People should only read traditional books.
D.Two reading ways can be used together.
40.The passage mainly talks about “________”.
A.The disadvantages of digital products B.The value and charm of paper books
C.How to develop good reading habits D.Different kinds of reading materials
【答案】36.B 37.C 38.A 39.D 40.B
36.由第二段“A study shows that reading paper books helps people focus better”可知,纸质书的优势是帮助读者集中注意力。
37.由第三段“Long-time staring at electronic screens will cause eye strain and dry eyes”可知,电子书读者可能面临眼睛健康问题。
39.由最后一段“e-books and paper books are not opposite. We can choose different reading ways in different situations”可知,作者认为两种阅读方式可以结合使用。

Jiang Zhaopeng, an 18-year-old student, faced a life-or-death test on Saturday—not in an exam hall, but in the backseat of a car, where he performed life-saving CPR on a classmate who went into a heart attack.
Jiang and his classmate were heading to take the spring college entrance exam when the emergency happened unexpectedly.
At about 8:10 a.m., the two got into a taxi to the testing site. Just a minute later, Jiang’s classmate fell onto his knee. “I thought he was just tired at first,” Jiang said. Jiang didn’t tell his school about the whole thing until his classmate was safe with doctors. He then rushed to the exam site, but arrived too late to take the 9 a.m. Chinese language test.
Later, doctors said his classmate would be okay without any brain damage (损伤). “The first four minutes of CPR in the car were very important,” said doctors.

7.Where does the Dragon Head Raising Festival get its meaning from?

Molly (USA, 16)

22.How can we show respect for farmers’ hard work?

21.文中提到“Early the next morning, Grandma woke me up at 5:30 to collect eggs.”,明确表明第二天早上作者和奶奶首先做的事是收集鸡蛋,“They collected eggs.”

23.Because they had no choice. 24.Because spending too much time on video games will harm your grades. 25.Make friends! 26.Talk to your parents or your teacher. 27.Cheating.

Make friends!
26.根据第五段“If you’re worried about something, talk to your parents or your teacher.”,因此如果你担心某事,应该“和你的父母或老师谈谈”。故填Talk to your parents or your teacher.
27.根据最后一段“Cheating is not smart. It is harmful.”,这里的“It”指代前一句的主语“Cheating”。故填Cheating.

A number of large, d$
