When I was a child, I wanted to be a farmer’s wife, but my parents encouraged me to dream bigger. Later, I thought about becoming a farmer or a driver, but my dad told me I would do something I didn’t like. I then wanted to be an archaeologist (考古学家), and finally, a football player.

Today, women’s football is growing. The Lionesses, England’s women’s team, are playing in the World Cup, and many people are watching. But women players still make much less money than men players and fewer people watch women’s football.
As I cheer for the Lionesses today, I hope their success encourages young girls to believe they can be football players too. Maybe one day, women’s football will be as important and popular as men’s.
