Copenhagen is a beautiful city of Denmark that attracts a lot of tourists, especially during
the summer.Though tourism is great for the economy,it is also bad for the environment.
Now tourists who take part in green activities like picking up rubbish, using public transport,
or biking around the city are rewarded with food and activities. This project is called
CopenPay,whose purpose is to help reduce the environmental costs of tourism.
The project was introduced by Copenhagen's official tourism organization to get tourists
to act in an eco-friendlier way according to the Wonderful Copenhagen website.Though it is
trust-based,some places may ask you to show a photo of you doing a green activity or a train
ticket.
Though the largest environmental cost is the transportation to Copenhagen, especially if
you fly or drive, the tourist board's communications chief(旅游局通信主管)Rikke Holm
Petersen said,"One of the things we can change is getting people to act in an eco-friendlier
way at the destination.
There are now 24 members in the program, reported Forbes, including museums,
restaurants, and urban experiences for tourists to take part in.While there are several places
offering free ice cream or coffee for taking public transport, there are other experiences that
are related to Danish culture.Visitors to the National Gallery who bring plastic waste can take
part in a workshop to turn the rubbish into a piece of art.

AI models lack human senses like smell and touch, limiting their understanding of
concepts such as flowers or humor. While advanced models show impressive language skills,
their understanding nevertheless differs fundamentally from humans due to missing sensory
experiences.
Researchers at the Ohio State University compared humans and AI models in
understanding nearly 4,500 words. Both groups rated each word for a variety of aspects, such
as the level of emotional arousal (they bring to mind,or their links to senses and
physical interaction with different parts of the body.It turns out that people and AI have a
similar conceptual map of words that don't relate to interactions with the outside world, but
differ greatly when words are linked to senses and physical actions.
The problem lies in AI models'text-only training.Models trained on both images and
text showed closer consistency with human responses. As researchers note,"Multi-modal
training brings greater benefits than expected."This suggests future AI models may need a
robot body to gain such experience.
Philip Feldman at the University of Maryland says that giving AI models a robot body and
exposing them to sensorimotor(感觉运动的)input would probably result in a jump in ability,
but that we will have to be very careful about how this is done, given the risk of robots
causing physical harm to people around them.
Avoiding such risks would mean adding limits to robot actions,or only using soft robots
that can cause no harm for training, says Feldman-but that would have its own downsides.
"This is going to mess up their view of the world,"says Feldman."One of the things
they would learn is that you can bounce off()things,because they have little mass.Put
such deep understanding that has to do with physical contact in a real robot with mass and you
would have robots believing that they could just crash into each other at full speed."

Research has shown that mindful eating has positive impacts on people,so it's beneficial
to know how to eat more mindfully.36
Remove all distractions(分散注意力的事)while you eat. They can limit your ability to
enjoy your food and notice when you are full.Make sure your cell phone is face down and
you're not going to be responding to any messages that come through.
Take enough time to finish your meal.Even with all distractions removed, very often you
still find yourself eating faster than you should.37 It takes about that time for your body
to get the signal to the brain that you are full.
Notice all the little details about your food. You might wonder how to spend 20 whole
minutes eating a sandwich. One way to slowdown is to engage your senses and think through
all the details about your meal.Ask yourself:What's on my plate? How hungry am I today?
Is it too salty?38
39 Put a small amount of snack food, like potato chips,in a separate bowl to help
avoid mindless munching. If you have a whole bag of it,it is challenging to stop after several
bites.Putting aside some of the food can help you eat less at a healthier pace.
Actually chew.If you're wolfing down(狼吞虎咽)your food you're probably not chewing
it.And chewing is an important part of digestion.40 Look at each bite before putting it
into your mouth, acknowledge what you're eating and chew, chew, chew.
A.Limit your time for a meal within 20 minutes.
B.Here are some techniques for eating at a healthy pace.
C.It helps break up the foods so it's easier for digestion.
D.Watch out for your food intake and the time you spend on it.
E.When you sit down to eat, spend at least 20 minutes doing so.
F.Limit the amount of the food you might munch on(大口吃)mindlessly.
G.Notice the smell, the taste and whatever other senses that arise as you eat.

I really wanted those sneakers, yet I knew Mrs.Thompson was in a tough spot.Alex kept looking at me
with begging eyes.I felt so torn,my mind full of a mix of guilt and longing. The picture of the cool sneakers
kept appearing in my head, but so did Mrs.Thompson's sad expression. After what seemed like a really long
time of struggling inside myself,I took a deep breath and nodded at Alex.We quickly figured out how much
money we could give without using up all our savings.
With hearts beating fast,we walked up to Mrs.Thompson with some savings. When we held out the
money to her,her eyes opened wide in shock. We told her it was the least we could do and we hoped she could
soon go through the hard time. Her thankfulness was really strong, and she gave us both a big hug.In that
moment,I realized that the happiness of helping her was much greater than the short-lived excitement of getting
those sneakers. The experience taught me that real value isn't in things we own but in the relationships we make
and the kindness we show.

Language is the bridge that connects people everywhere. On April 20th,people around the world celebrated
the United Nations Chinese Language Day.To celebrate the event, the United Nations Office at Geneva,
Switzerland, organized the first Chinese Language Video Festival.Participants from 27 countries, including the
US,the UK,France,Germany,Italy and Japan, shared their love for the Chinese language and culture through
short videos.Over 340 videos told stories about a civilized, modern and youthful China through their personal
experiences in the country.Though some people find the language difficult to learn, most find it to be useful.
Yousaf from Pakistan said,"Learning Chinese is not just learning a language. If you know this language, you
know the civilization, and the mind of the people.Yerdana,a former international student from Kazakhstan,
found that it was important to use his imagination when learning Chinese."For example, the Chinese character
for'tea'has those lines of grass, the roof of a house and people drinking tea."
