Have you ever seen robots performing Chinese kung fu on stage? At the 2026 CCTV Spring Festival Gala, the amazing program Martial BOT became a huge hit. It has drawn the attention of people across China and even around the world, as it showed Chinese kung fu in a new and interesting way. The program was performed by over 20 humanoid robots — robots that look like humans — and 80 young martial arts learners from Tagou Martial Arts School in Henan Province.
In the program, the robots performed wonderfully with the children, showing a creative “future kung fu club” on stage. They completed many world-first difficult movements, such as single-leg backflips (后空翻) and 2-to-3-meter-high jump with special tools. Their movements matched the music perfectly and looked very neat. They also showed amazing team spirit. They could quickly change their positions while running at high speed, and never made a mistake.
In fact, to achieve these perfect actions, the team trained the robots hundreds of millions of times. It was a long and hard process. With advanced technology like AI, the robots moved on their own without the help of people far away, showing top-level balance. Everyone in the team worked very hard to make the program perfect.
Martial BOT was a wonderful combination (结合) of culture and technology. It not only showed the beauty of Chinese culture to the world but also proved how fast China’s technology is developing. Many people were deeply impressed by this special program. In the future, these smart robots might help us in factories to do hard work, do housework at home, or even look after the elderly carefully. They will bring more convenience to our daily life and our society. Let’s just wait and see!
49.Why has the program Martial BOT drawn many people’s attention?
A.Because it showed Chinese kung fu in a new way.
B.Because it introduced many kinds of humanoid robots.
C.Because it used traditional music and fashionable clothes.
50.What does the underlined word “advanced” in Paragraph 3 probably mean?
51.What does the writer think of the development of humanoid robots?
A.Worried. B.Doubtful. C.Hopeful.
52.Which is the best structure (结构) of the text?
A. B. C.
【答案】49.A 50.B 51.C 52.B
49.第一段“It has drawn the attention of people across China and even around the world, as it showed Chinese kung fu in a new and interesting way.”,该句直接说明了节目吸引大量关注的原因。
50.第三段“With advanced technology like AI, the robots moved on their own without the help of people far away, showing top-level balance.”,AI能够支撑机器人自主完成高难度武术动作,实现顶级平衡能力,由此可推知advanced用来修饰AI技术,词义为“先进的”。
51.最后一段“In the future, these smart robots might help us in factories to do hard work... They will bring more convenience to our daily life and our society. Let’s just wait and see!”,作者认为人形机器人未来会给人类生活带来更多便利,对其发展充满期待,因此作者的态度是充满希望的。
52.分析全文段落结构:第一段①总体引入话题,介绍节目走红的基本情况,属于总起段;第二段②介绍节目中机器人的表演亮点,第三段③介绍节目背后的研发过程与技术支持,②③属于并列的分说部分;第四段④总结节目意义,展望机器人未来发展,属于总结段。整体为总—分—总结构。
C
We all make mistakes in our daily lives. For example, we may break a classmate’s favourite cup by accident. Or we may say something impolite when arguing with a friend. In such situations, it’s important to know how to say sorry and repair the relationship in time. But how do you make sure your apology (道歉) sounds sincere (真诚的)? Well, a recent finding shows that people are more willing to accept apologies using more words.
Not long ago, Shiri Lev-Ari, a professor from the University of London, did two studies about making apologies. In the first one, she searched for 50 apologetic posts online. Then she compared these posts to normal posts written by the same people. She found that their apologetic posts were far longer than the normal ones. However, the words used in apologies were as common as those in the other posts. They weren’t unusual or difficult to understand.
In the second study, Lev-Ari asked 49 volunteers to read three different versions (说法) of the same apologetic sentence. The three versions had the same meaning, but they differed in length (长度). The volunteers all agreed the longest sentence sounded the most apologetic. “An apology seems to be more sincere if it takes more effort to say it. When you use more words, it looks like you’ve put more thought into the apology,” said Lev-Ari.
In future studies, Lev-Ari hopes to find if using big words will help. She also wonders if saying sorry face-to-face is better than sending an apologetic message. For now, a sincere apology with enough words is a good way to say sorry.
53.How does the writer start the text?
A.By asking questions.
B.By using sayings.
C.By giving examples.
D.By offering numbers.
54.What do we know about the two studies?
A.A professor from a British university did them.
B.They are about people’s opinions on apologies.
C.Fifty volunteers took part in the second study.
D.The first study shows making apologies online is useless.
55.What may Lev-Ari agree with?
A.People had better show their efforts in apologies.
B.Sentences with fewer words are more apologetic.
C.People should use unusual words when saying sorry.
D.The two studies have shown completely different results.
56.What is the best title for the text?
A.The power of simple words
B.The importance of saying sorry
C.Making apologies - the sooner, the better
D.More words, more sincerity in “sorry”
【答案】53.C 54.A 55.A 56.D
53.原文第一段提到“We all make mistakes in our daily lives. For example, we may break a classmate’s favourite cup by accident. Or we may say something impolite when arguing with a friend.”,作者通过举例生活中常见的犯错场景来引出话题。
55.原文第三段提到“An apology seems to be more sincere if it takes more effort to say it. When you use more words, it looks like you’ve put more thought into the apology”,说明她认为人们最好在道歉中展现出自己的用心和努力,而不是用更少的词、不寻常的词,两项研究的结果也是一致的,并非完全不同。

When Xiong Chuanfa, 37, blows a lovely tiger out of sugar in just minutes, kids look at him in surprise, thinking he is a magician.
Xiong has been blowing sugar figurines (糖人) for 23 years. Blowing sugar figurines is a traditional Chinese art with a history of over 600 years. It has been listed as an intangible cultural heritage (非物质文化遗产) for about 17 years.
Every morning, Xiong prepares the sugar and drives to different markets in Nanchang to blow sugar figurines. He usually takes out a little sugar after heating it. Then he makes a ball with the sugar. Finally, he blows it into different shapes—a rabbit, a monkey, and even Ne Zha, one of the most popular cartoon movie characters.
No matter how busy he is, he often spares time to teach young people helping them know more about the traditional Chinese art. Many kids show great interest in the art.
B“Why couldn’t this be something lucky?”(这为什么就不能是一件幸运的事呢?)既符合老人的乐观态度,也和后文他说的“Why couldn’t this be a good thing?”
C“He fell off the horse and broke his leg one day.”

66.It’s our ________ (轮流) to clean the blackboard.
It’s one’s turn to do sth.(轮到某人做某事),这里需要填名词turn,这个单词在该句型中是固定用法,且用单数形式。
67.He is a ________ (有耐心的) teacher and never gets angry.
68.As an ORBIS doctor, Dr. Ma usually does hundreds of ________ (operate) during one visit.
69.We shouldn’t laugh at the ________ (able), we should help them.
70.When I met Kate yesterday, she ________ (walk) along the bank of the river.
【答案】was walking
主语she是第三人称单数,be动词用was,walk的现在分词是walking,故填was walking。
succeed/fall off/government/research/protected/fall over/environment
Last summer, my classmates and I visited a desert nature reserve (保护区). “Why is this place 71 ?” I asked our guide, Mr. Li, as we walked through golden sand.
“Through years of 72 ” he explained, “scientists found few plants here. The 73 built this reserve under one condition: visitors must follow strict rules.”
Suddenly, strong wind made me almost 74 . Mr. Li helped me up, laughing. “Don’t worry! Modern technology keeps us safe.” He showed me his GPS watch tracking our location.
At the center, we saw computers monitoring (监视) desert animals. “We’ve 75 in protecting 20 endangered animals,” a scientist told us proudly. She pointed at cameras showing baby foxes playing.
71.protected 72.research 73.government 74.fall over 75.succeeded
下文“scientists found few plants here”和“visitors must follow strict rules”暗示该地区因生态脆弱而受到保护。
make sb. do sth.
根据“told us proudly. She pointed at cameras showing baby foxes playing.” “succeed in doing sth.” 根据句中的“in protecting”和“We’ve”可知,需用过去分词succeeded。故填succeeded。

形容词uncomfortable作定语修饰名词;根据“of uncertainty that many people experience when they live in other surroundings”及首字母提示可知,此处指文化冲击是人们因不确定性而产生的不适感,feeling(感觉)符合语义。
不定冠词a后接单数名词;前文提到“live in other surroundings”,后文多次出现“new environment”,所以这里用environment(环境)。
some后接可数名词复数;后文列举的“read about…speak with…”,这些都是“方法”,所以这里用ways(方法)。

后文提到“When you want to learn something from local people, they are usually willing to share their culture with you and learn from you in turn”,说明犯错是正常的;固定搭配make mistakes意为“犯错”,mistakes符合。
Dreams may make you smart. This was discovered by scientists who do research on dreams.
What is a dream exactly? Scientists explain that during sleep time your brain reviews your experiences in the day. It tries to connect your new experiences with the old memories. As your brain connects things, it turns them into a story, and then you get a dream.
Dreams may help you deal with worries and fears. What has happened during the day may be painful. While you are sleeping, however, the brain will replay the painful memories in a safe dream space. There the bad memories become less painful. And you will feel better after waking up.
Dreams also seem to be able to help you learn. This idea is supported by a study. So scientists advise you not to stay up all night studying, especially when an exam is coming. They say a sweet dream might help you get higher marks.
Dreams may make you more creative, too. It was reported that a famous songwriter came up with his best song in a dream, and wrote it down as soon as he woke up. However, dreams alone can’t bring about creativity. In fact, the songwriter spent a lot of time thinking about the song before the dream. In a word, hard work matters more for creativity, though dreams also have a role to play.

Simon; a foreign student from Nanchang International School, found it hard to make sugar figurines lively. Thanks to Xiong’s help, Simon finally saw a horse slowly taking shape.
Simon was really excited after learning about the art. “I just can’t believe the Chinese keep the traditional art so well here. I love it. I want to know more about it and help to spread (传播) Chinese culture all over the world,” he said.
Xiong’s 9-year-old son often blows sugar balloons, just like what he used to do as a child. “Our family will pass on the intangible cultural heritage,” said Xiong.

86.Who discovered that dreams may make you smart?
87.When does the brain review your experiences in the day?
88.Where does the brain replay the painful memories?
