【8题详解】
句意:我妹妹存了大部分钱,但她喜欢偶尔买些漂亮玩具或卡片。

Most people think fast delivery (快递) is new, but it’s actually very old. As early as the Shang and Zhou dynasties (商周时期), governments already had a way to send orders and news. This way was called yizhan. It was most developed in the Tang dynasty and continued to be used for hundreds of years.
The yizhan was built to help pass documents far and fast. Riders would stop at these places to change horses or rest. Sometimes, they passed the messages to the next rider. Because of this, news, food, and even money for the emperors could travel quickly across the land.
The yizhan was also built in a very ingenious way. These places were about 30 kilometers from each other. That was just right for a horse to go without stopping. Each place usually had houses for horses, rooms to keep things, kitchens, and beds for riders. Bigger places could hold many people and even had offices. Some had tall towers or flags so people could see them easily.
Later, the yizhan took on more new roles. When the Mongols (蒙古人) ruled, it also helped foreign officers and official visitors who came for work. This way helped the government, business, and the sharing of culture. Even the famous traveler Marco Polo said it worked very well.
Today, our post offices and ways to communicate still learn from this old idea. Keeping people in touch helped ancient China develop and it still helps us now.
36. When was yizhan most developed?
A. In the Shang dynasty. B. In the Zhou dynasty.
C. In the Tang dynasty. D. In the Song dynasty.
37. Why did riders stop at yizhan?
A. To get food and money. B. To change horses or rest.
C. To welcome foreign visitors. D. To give the messages to emperors.
38. What does the underlined word “ingenious” in paragraph 3 probably mean?
A. Difficult. B. Expensive. C. Modern. D. Well-designed.
39. What new role did yizhan get during the Mongol rule?
A. It built taller towers and flags. B. It helped spread Chinese food.
C. It taught people how to ride horses. D. It served foreign officers and official visitors.
40. Which is the best title for the text?
A. China’s Old “Post Office” B. The Rule of Ancient Emperors
C. The Life of Marco Polo in China D. Horses and Riders in Ancient China
【答案】36. C 37. B 38. D 39. D 40. A

第二节 阅读表达(共5小题;每小题2分,满分10分)
阅读下面短文,简略回答问题。
You may know the saying. “Good manners cost nothing.” But for AI companies like OpenAI, that’s not quite true. Their CEO says people using polite words like “please” and “thank you” with chatbots (聊天机器人) have cost the company tens of millions of dollars.
When you are polite, the chatbot often gives a longer reply. Making these longer answers uses more computing power (算力) and energy. For example, simply asking for “capital of France” gets a short answer. But asking “Please tell me the capital of France” may result in a much longer reply.
Studies show most chatbot users treat smart things as humans. Many people talk to AI politely without thinking because it is a natural habit. Being polite might change the answer you get, but it doesn’t make the AI more human—it just makes it work harder.
This added work uses a lot of energy. Every time we ask AI to do something, like creating a picture or answering a question, it uses power. With more and more people using AI, the total energy use is becoming a bigger problem. So, while being polite is a good habit, with AI, sometimes simple is better-for both the company and our planet.
41. How much have users’ polite words cost OpenAI?
_____________________________________________________
42. What kind of reply does a chatbot often give when you are polite?
_____________________________________________________
43. Why do many people talk to AI politely without thinking?
_____________________________________________________
44. What is becoming a bigger problem with more people using AI?
_____________________________________________________
45. What do you like to do with AI? What change will you make after reading this text?
_____________________________________________________
【答案】41. Tens of millions of dollars.
42. A longer reply.
43. Because it is a natural habit./It is a habit.
44. The total energy use.
45. I like using AI to create pictures. Now, I’ll ask for one good picture instead of many tries./ I like to chat with AI and ask questions. Now I’ll keep my questions shorter and clearer./ I use AI to create cartoon pictures for fun. Now I will use AI less often for fun to help save energy./...
【解析】

【41题详解】
首段提到“people using polite words… have cost the company tens of millions of dollars”,直接提取金额即可作答。
【42题详解】
