我用am你用are: I am a teahcer. You are a teacher.
is连着他她它: She is a teacher. He is a teacher. It is an apple.
单数不可数用is: This book is interesting.
复数全部都用are: These books are interesting.
变疑问往前提: She is a student. Is she a student?
句尾问号莫丢弃: Is she a student?
变否定更容易, be后not别忘记: She is a student. She is not a student.

be 动词的一般现在时形式
用来表示人或事物的性质、状态等,说明主语“是什么”或“怎么样”。
①be 动词一般现在时的形式为 am/ is/ are,be 动词一般现在时的形式取决于主语。
am仅用于主语 Ⅰ 之后
is用于主语是第三人称单数或不可数名词等的情况。
are用于主语是第二人称you及表示复数概念的代词或名词后。

be 动词的用法
②常见的与系动词搭配的缩略形式
1. 系动词的缩写形式
I am =I’m
You are = you’re
He is = He’s
She is = She’s
It is = It’s
We are = We’re
They are = they’re
2. 系动词与否定形式的缩写
is not = isn’t
are not = aren’t
3. 一般过去时系动词的否定缩写
was not = wasn’t
were not = weren’t
4. 系动词与特殊疑问词缩写
What is = What’s
Where is = Where’s
Who is= Who’s
注意:
1) am not不可缩写; this is不可缩写;
2) 肯定的简略回答中不能缩写,如:“Yes, I am.”不能写成“Yes, I’m.”。
e.g. Those aren’t your shoes.
那不是你的鞋。
He isn’t a teacher.
他不是一名老师。
③be 动词一般现在时的疑问句式
一般疑问句形式: be 动词+主语. . . ?
肯定回答: Yes, 主语 + be 动词(am/ is/ are).
否定回答: No,主语 + be 动词(am/ is/ are) + not.
注意:在肯定答句中,主语和 be 动词不能缩写。
e.g. —Are they Lucy’s friends?
—Yes, they are. / No, they aren’t.
—他们是 Lucy 的朋友们吗?
—是的,他们是。 / 不,他们不是。
