(一)考查要点
综合填空也称为首字母填空,旨在考查学生的
逻辑推理能力和综合语言运用能力。设题是
将一篇文章中若干个单词变成空,留下该词的
首字母作为提示和限制,让学生隔空读意,根
据短文内容填写单词以使文章完整。该题型
属于能力测试的范畴,考查的范围极广,既涉
及英语词汇知识,又涉及语法规范和语用能
力,对学生的语言知识能力、综合分析和判断
能力、平时的阅读量和综合视野都是一个考
验。因此,综合填空一直是同学们考试中的
难点。
该题型的考查要点主要包括:
1.根据语境推断词语;
2.根据上下文出现的原词或相关词填写词语;
3.学生日常积累的固定搭配;
4.借助已知信息通过推理判断填空;
5.学生日常生活或国内外文化相关常识积累;
6.语法知识。
(二)失分原因
1.词汇量不足导致不能读懂文章、填不出词、
想不到固定搭配或想到的词不会写。
2.忽略上下文语境,根据个人主观判断填词导
致错误。如:They go to the playground and
play football,b 82 I don't like football.,
面说他们都去踢足球,后面说“我”不喜欢,前
后句为转折关系,所以要填写连词but。
3.日常生活经验或对国内外文化了解不足导
致填错。
4.错误判断所填词的词性导致失分。如:He

(三)学法指导
1.通读全文,掌握主旨大意。一般文章的首尾
句不设空,可帮助了解文章主旨。
2.根据上下文语境、句意、句子结构尝试填空。
对不理解的地方采用跳读的方式,待真正理
解全文之后再找解决的方法。出现少量生
词是正常的,可以根据构词法或上下文意加
以推测。
3.查漏补缺。对尚未填的空,可以分析一下句
子结构,判断该空所需单词的词性,缩小单
词范围。观察留空的句子在全文中所处的
位置、作用和意义,注意关键词、短语或句
子,进而综合全文文意推断出答案。
4.复查全文,仔细检查。细读全文,检查所填
写的单词是否与文意相符,有无拼写、句型
结构、时态及语法错误。很多学生能想对
词,但常忽略单词的形式变化,这方面要多
注意。
