Dear fellow students,
I am writing to advocate building a low-carbon campus and living a green life. There is no doubt that a low-carbon campus is of great significance, which can help to create a more sustainable and eco-friendly environment for our study and life.
As individuals, how can we contribute to building a low-carbon campus? First of all, saving electricity and water consciously, we can avoid unnecessary resource waste. In addition, it is a good habit to refuse single-use plastics and sort rubbish strictly in daily life. What’s more, we can walk or ride bikes on campus, which can effectively cut down carbon emissions.
Let’s take immediate action and make joint efforts to build a more beautiful and sustainable campus!
Yours sincerely,
Li Hua
第三节 读后续写(参考范文)
During the next rehearsal, I finally admitted the truth to everyone. For a long moment, the room went silent—you could have heard a pin drop. Then Olivia spoke, calm and steady, “It’s fine. We’ll start from scratch.” One by one, the others offered advice, shared notes, and cracked small jokes that eased the tension. From that day on, I stayed after school until the lights went out—repeating lines, practicing arguments, recording myself to correct every pause. My voice wavered, my notes were full of red marks, but fear slowly turned into focus. I was no longer pretending; I was learning to earn my place.
A month later, Olivia and I stepped onto the stage together, ready for the big day. My palms were sweating, and my heartbeat drowned out the audience. When I stumbled over a point, Olivia jumped in smoothly, guiding me back on track. Our teammates whispered reminders and adjusted timing, and by the final round, we were in sync. When the judges announced our victory, the applause felt like sunlight breaking through. Standing there, I understood something deeper than winning: the path I’d faked at first had led me to something real—courage I had built, friends who believed in me, and a place where I truly fit.

Tiana Barron, founder of Jaxx Fontaine D'eau,a high-quality spring water brand for dogs,
regards her bond with animals as her source of healing. Her rescued dog from Hurricane Katrina
inspired the business, which she imagined for five years before launching in Orange County.'I've
givenmy dog bottled water for years, even before it was common for humans,"she explains. However,
her decision to formalize(使规范化)this practice into a business originated from a deeper purpose:
"I wanted to honor the unconditional love animals give us.They fill emotional gaps that humans
sometimes can't”
2/8
Scientific studies highlight dogs'ability to improve mental health-reducing loneliness, stress,
and depression.Tiana's experience aligns with these findings. Her dog helped her address personal
struggles,offering companionship even her children couldn't match."Animals have pure souls;
they're irreplaceable,"she says.For Tiana,this connection goes beyond practicality-it's emotional
and spiritual.
Launching Jaxx Fontaine D'eau faced considerable barriers:relocating, home redecoration, and
financial risks.Yet Tiana carried on it,driven by perseverance and sympathy."I'm a fighter.I've had
a tough life, but I always get up and fight again.Everything happens in your journey when it's
supposed to,not when you want,"she asserts. Her journey reflects that she ranks animal welfare over
profit..This isn't just a business-—it's a tribute(致敬)to the love dogs deserve.”she adds.
Tiana's story is not just about business success,it's about living in grace and trying hard to create
a better world. She hopes that her story will inspire others to respect one another, regardless of their
differences."I'm so sensitive to people and emotions, and it upsets me to see division.I don't care
how you choose to live your life, but be nice to each other. We're not here to judge and be mean,"she
emphasizes.
14.What drove Tiana Barron to launch Jaxx Fontaine D'eau?
A.Her appreciation for animals'love.
B.Her belief in dogs'healing power.
C.Her ambition of making a fortune.
D.Her devotion to pet product business.
15.What do the underlined words "aligns with"in paragraph 2 mean?
A.Mixes with.
B.Relates to
C.Conflicts with.
D.Corresponds with.
16.Which is the best title for the text?
A.Tiana's Journey:From Struggle to Success
B.More than Water:A Spiritual Tie with Dogs
C.Luxury Water for Dogs:A Business Innovation
D.
Healing through Loss:A Dog's Unconditional Love

From social relationships to work challenges,Chinese people are turning to DeepSeek to address
different personal issues. They describe sharing their thoughts and receiving helpful feedback from
the popular chatbot. As a rising trend on social media,AI therapy (is changing the way people
seek mental health support. But can AI truly replace a human therapist?
Globally,45 percent of people who needed mental health care in 2024 did not receive it,with
barriers including cost and a lack of providers, according to Huntington Psychological Services.
Daniel Lowd,an associate professor at the University of Oregon, believes AI could help solve the
lack of therapy services."If people can find some support and perspective by talking to ChatGPT or
chatbot Claude,then I think that's wonderful,"Lowd told Newsweek.
Li Yong,a doctor at the Jiangsu Province Hospital, agreed with Lowd, saying that AI meets
people's needs for emotional support to some extent.By using basic knowledge of psychotherapy,
DeepSeek can help with minor mental issues through comforting responses,Li told Shanghai
Observer.
However,he points out that AI cannot completely replace professionals due to the human touch
that is important for therapeutic services.Therapists develop a deeper understanding of people's
emotions and needs through communication, which allows them to offer more tailored treatment
plans,Shanghai Observer reported.
The use of AI in psychotherapy also raises concerns over the reliability of responses."AI
3/8
chatbots will respond as therapists if asked, without any of the inspection, training or responsibility
of a human counselor or even a specialized and tested piece of software,"Richard Lachman,
an associate professor at Toronto Metropolitan University, told Newsweek.
Experts believe the key to effective AI therapy lies in proper government regulation.Wysa, for
example,is a mental health app that offers therapeutic conversations with an AI chatbot. In 2022,it
worked with the UK's National Health Service, following a list of strict standards. As AI becomes
more a part of our lives, understanding its effects on human psychology means finding a balance
between what's helpful and what's dangerous.
17.How could AI help us according to Daniel Lowd?
A.By improving the quality of therapy.
B.By reducing the cost of therapy.
C.By providing more psychological aids
D.By curing humans of mental issues.
18.What is Li Yong's attitude towards AI therapy?
A.Pessimistic.
B.Optimistic.
C.Objective.
D.Ambiguous
19.Why is a human counselor mentioned in paragraph 5?
A.To question the reliability of AI therapy.
B.To praise humans'insight into mental issues.
C.To prove the necessity of professional training
D.To stress the responsibility of human therapists.
20.What does the example in the last paragraph show us?
A.The need for suitable state control.
B.The importance of developing more advanced AI.
C.The dangerous effects ofAI on human psychology.
D.The popularization of AI across nations.

Whether you buy art for your home or admire it in galleries and museums, establishing your
taste is a personal journey. There are countless commercial galleries, museums, and increasingly

One of the surest ways to establish your artistic interests is to look at as much art as you can.Go

stomach.23 said Shaokao Cheng,co-founder of a luxury design company. As he grew his
personal collection,Cheng approached art not for its potential financial gain, but rather how it makes

The first week of the new semester always carried a strange kind of energy-new classes, new
faces, and the quiet hope of starting over.As a 11th-grade transfer student,I walked into the noisy
classroom with my head low, clutching (my backpack strap like a lifeline.Everything felt
foreign-the laughter,the inside jokes,the invisible circles I wasn't part of.My new desk mate,Olivia,
sat by the window, her notebook perfectly organized, her confidence filling the space between us.
When she noticed me hesitating, she smiled, slid a neatly written class schedule across the desk, and
in a soft voice said she'd show me around at lunch. That small gesture made me want to belong-to
be seen.
So when she mentioned the debate club after class,I told her I'd been on the debate team and
had even won a regional contest. It wasn't planned. The lie just slipped out, smooth and effortless,
like it had been waiting for its cue.Her eyes lit up,and for the first time,I felt noticed-no longer
7/8
just the quiet new kid.
A few days later,Olivia came running up with a sign-up sheet."The annual school-wide debate
competition is in a month-we should team up!"she exclaimed,her enthusiasm unshakable.I tried
to match her energy, but the panic settled deeper each time I imagined standing on stage.Four weeks
to prepare-it felt endless and terrifying at the same time.
At our first rehearsal )I stumbled over debate terms, struggled to organize arguments, and
froze when asked to practice rebuttals ()Some teammates exchanged eye rolls and quiet laughs
that stung more than their whispers.Olivia didn't say anything, her smile faded, polite yet puzzled.
By Friday, the lie felt heavier than the weight on my shoulders. Each "keep going"she offered
sounded like a test I couldn't pass. That night,I stared at my debate notes, the words swimming before
my eyes.I knew I couldn't keep pretending.Something had to give.

Tiana Barron, founder of Jaxx Fontaine D’eau, a high-quality spring water brand for dogs, regards her bond with animals as her source of healing. Her rescued dog from Hurricane Katrina inspired the business, which she imagined for five years before launching in Orange County. “I’ve given my dog bottled water for years, even before it was common for humans,” she explains. However, her decision to formalize (使规范化) this practice into a business originated from a deeper purpose: “I wanted to honor the unconditional love animals give us. They fill emotional gaps that humans sometimes can’t.”
Scientific studies highlight dogs’ ability to improve mental health—reducing loneliness, stress, and depression. Tiana’s experience aligns with these findings. Her dog helped her address personal struggles, offering companionship even her children couldn’t match. “Animals have pure souls; they’re irreplaceable,” she says. For Tiana, this connection goes beyond practicality—it’s emotional and spiritual.
Launching Jaxx Fontaine D’eau faced considerable barriers: relocating, home redecoration, and financial risks. Yet Tiana carried on it, driven by perseverance and sympathy. “I’m a fighter. I’ve had a tough life, but I always get up and fight again. Everything happens in your journey when it’s supposed to, not when you want,” she asserts. Her journey reflects that she ranks animal welfare over profit. “This isn’t just a business—it’s a tribute (致敬) to the love dogs deserve.” she adds.
Tiana’s story is not just about business success; it’s about living in grace and trying hard to create a better world. She hopes that her story will inspire others to respect one another, regardless of their differences. “I’m so sensitive to people and emotions, and it upsets me to see division. I don’t care how you choose to live your life, but be nice to each other. We’re not here to judge and be mean,” she emphasizes.
14.What drove Tiana Barron to launch Jaxx Fontaine D’eau?
A.Her appreciation for animals’ love. B.Her belief in dogs’ healing power.
C.Her ambition of making a fortune. D.Her devotion to pet product business.
15.What do the underlined words “aligns with” in paragraph 2 mean?

From social relationships to work challenges, Chinese people are turning to DeepSeek to address different personal issues. They describe sharing their thoughts and receiving helpful feedback from the popular chatbot. As a rising trend on social media, AI therapy (疗法) is changing the way people seek mental health support. But can AI truly replace a human therapist?
Globally, 45 percent of people who needed mental health care in 2024 did not receive it, with barriers including cost and a lack of providers, according to Huntington Psychological Services. Daniel Lowd, an associate professor at the University of Oregon, believes AI could help solve the lack of therapy services. “If people can find some support and perspective by talking to ChatGPT or chatbot Claude, then I think that’s wonderful,” Lowd told Newsweek.
Li Yong, a doctor at the Jiangsu Province Hospital, agreed with Lowd, saying that AI meets people’s needs for emotional support to some extent. By using basic knowledge of psychotherapy, DeepSeek can help with minor mental issues through comforting responses, Li told Shanghai Observer.
However, he points out that AI cannot completely replace professionals due to the human touch that is important for therapeutic services. Therapists develop a deeper understanding of people’s emotions and needs through communication, which allows them to offer more tailored treatment plans, Shanghai Observer reported.
The use of AI in psychotherapy also raises concerns over the reliability of responses. “AI chatbots will respond as therapists if asked, without any of the inspection, training or responsibility of a human counselor (咨询师) or even a specialized and tested piece of software,” Richard Lachman, an associate professor at Toronto Metropolitan University, told Newsweek.
Experts believe the key to effective AI therapy lies in proper government regulation. Wysa, for example, is a mental health app that offers therapeutic conversations with an AI chatbot. In 2022, it worked with the UK’s National Health Service, following a list of strict standards. As AI becomes more a part of our lives, understanding its effects on human psychology means finding a balance between what’s helpful and what’s dangerous.
17.How could AI help us according to Daniel Lowd?
A.By improving the quality of therapy.
B.By reducing the cost of therapy.
C.By providing more psychological aids.
D.By curing humans of mental issues.
18.What is Li Yong’s attitude towards AI therapy?
A.Pessimistic. B.Optimistic.
C.Objective. D.Ambiguous.
19.Why is a human counselor mentioned in paragraph 5?
A.To question the reliability of AI therapy.
B.To praise humans’ insight into mental issues.
C.To prove the necessity of professional training.
D.To stress the responsibility of human therapists.
20.What does the example in the last paragraph show us?
A.The need for suitable state control.
B.The importance of developing more advanced AI.
C.The dangerous effects of AI on human psychology.
D.The popularization of AI across nations.

阅读下面短文,从短文后的选项中选出最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。
Whether you buy art for your home or admire it in galleries and museums, establishing your taste is a personal journey. There are countless commercial galleries, museums, and increasingly accessible platforms like social media. 21 Here are some tips from leading art collectors on how to develop your taste.
One of the surest ways to establish your artistic interests is to look at as much art as you can. Go to museum exhibitions and to galleries. Read art magazines. See an exhibition even if it is not a period you would ever take an interest in. You will learn to appreciate quality, and your eye will see what great art is. 22
The process of developing artistic taste involves multiple dimensions that go beyond simple visual appreciation. “I sit with the piece and pay attention to how it settles in me—my throat, my stomach. 23 ” said Shaokao Cheng, co-founder of a luxury design company. As he grew his personal collection, Cheng approached art not for its potential financial gain, but rather how it makes him feel.
24 Getting to know them and their stories can expand your experience as a collector and enthusiast. Reaching out directly to the artists builds a personal connection to the piece, making the work feel not just seen, but understood.
Study the art market, but not too closely. 25 While understanding market dynamics (动态) can be helpful, the most rewarding aspects of art appreciation come from genuine personal connections with artworks and their creators.
A.Artists are the lifeblood of the art world.
B.Then in time, you will find something that you love.
C.These provide a wealth of places to engage with art.
D.I always go to museums and galleries to see art exhibitions.
E.That physical response shows more than any trend ever could.
F.Market research is secondary to personal connection with artworks.
G.Online markets have overturned how people appreciate and buy art.

阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。
The first week of the new semester always carried a strange kind of energy—new classes, new faces, and the quiet hope of starting over. As a 11th-grade transfer student, I walked into the noisy classroom with my head low, clutching (紧握) my backpack strap like a lifeline. Everything felt foreign—the laughter, the inside jokes, the invisible circles I wasn’t part of. My new desk mate, Olivia, sat by the window, her notebook perfectly organized, her confidence filling the space between us. When she noticed me hesitating, she smiled, slid a neatly written class schedule across the desk, and in a soft voice said she’d show me around at lunch. That small gesture made me want to belong—to be seen.
So when she mentioned the debate club after class, I told her I’d been on the debate team and had even won a regional contest. It wasn’t planned. The lie just slipped out, smooth and effortless, like it had been waiting for its cue. Her eyes lit up, and for the first time, I felt noticed—no longer just the quiet new kid.
A few days later, Olivia came running up with a sign-up sheet. “The annual school-wide debate competition is in a month—we should team up!” she exclaimed, her enthusiasm unshakable. I tried to match her energy, but the panic settled deeper each time I imagined standing on stage. Four weeks to prepare—it felt endless and terrifying at the same time.
At our first rehearsal (排练), I stumbled over debate terms, struggled to organize arguments, and froze when asked to practice rebuttals (反驳). Some teammates exchanged eye rolls and quiet laughs that stung more than their whispers. Olivia didn’t say anything; her smile faded, polite yet puzzled.
By Friday, the lie felt heavier than the weight on my shoulders. Each “keep going” she offered sounded like a test I couldn’t pass. That night, I stared at my debate notes, the words swimming before my eyes. I knew I couldn’t keep pretending. Something had to give.
注意:
1.续写词数应为150个左右;
2.请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。
