Language Ability 1) understand, read and pronounce basic key words: tension, physical, mental, independence, communicate, calm down, concern; 2) grasp the basic passage structure: Introduction Causes Solutions Conclusion; 3) use simple English sentences to talk about parent–child relationship. 2. Cultural Awareness 1) understand the common parent–child tensions in adolescent life; 2) learn to respect parents, show empathy and value family communication. 3. Thinking Quality 1) analyze the two main causes of family conflicts; 2) learn to think from parents’ perspective and solve problems rationally. 4. Learning Ability 1) use skimming and careful reading to get main information; 2) finish simple tasks: matching, filling in the blanks, group discussion. 教学重难点 Key Points: 1. Learn to think from parents’ point of view. 学情分析 Students know basic words and simple sentences but feel difficult in long passages. They have real parent–child troubles and are interested in this topic. They need clear tasks, simple language, more guidance and positive encouragement. 教学准备 1. PPT with simple words, pictures and short sentences. 2. A short and easy video about parent–child relationship. 3. Worksheets with matching and gap-filling tasks. 4. Ask students to predict the topic. 3. Teach key words: tension, teenager, parent–child. (5 mins) 提前扫清核心生词,用图片辅助理解,降低阅读门槛,为基础薄弱学生搭建支架,避免课文看不懂。 Step 3 While-reading (1) Fast Reading 1. Match paragraphs with main ideas. 2. Divide the passage into 4 parts: Introduction Causes Solutions Conclusion. (2) Careful Reading 1. Find causes (gap-filling): Physical: height, voice, weight, spots Mental: middle ground want independence, still need love 2. (3 mins) 简洁总结强化记忆,作业低难度、可完成,避免基础薄弱生产生厌学情绪 板书设计 教学反思 一、成功之处 1、贴合学情,降低难度,适配基础薄弱学生。 2、课堂从语言能力、文化意识、思维品质、学习能力全面展开,既训练阅读技能,又引导学生理解父母、学会沟通,实现知识与育人结合。 3、环节清晰,逻辑顺畅。 4、情境真实,激发共鸣。以亲子冲突视频与生活问题导入,贴近学生青春期经历,课堂氛围轻松,愿意表达、愿意思考。 二、存在不足 1、个别基础极差学生参与度低,不敢开口。由于词汇与表达能力有限,这部分学生在讨论与回答时仍较被动,课堂关注度不够均衡。 2、对 “middle ground” 等抽象概念讲解较简略。部分薄弱生理解仍模糊,缺少更直观的举例与图示辅助。 三、改进措施 1、加强分层指导与个性化鼓励。为学困生准备句型支架与关键词提示卡,降低表达门槛;多巡视、多一对一引导,让每位学生都有参与机会。 2、 用图片、图示简化抽象概念。把 “middle ground” 用童年 — 青春期 — 成年三阶段图示展示,更直观易懂,贴合薄弱生认知特点。 — - 1 - — 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $
