DeepSeek claimed higher energy efficiency but also faced doubts, keeping AI’s energy use a persistent concern. Here is the daily energy comparison between ChatGPT and Google search. Operation Type Energy Per Search Daily Energy Use ChatGPT Response 0.0029 kWh 621.4 MWh Google Search 0.0003 kWh 10.8 MWh Given the energy consumption, AI adoption won’t slow as firms view it as essential, so a smart strategy is needed to employ AI’s benefits while meeting sustainable goals. Luckily, industry experts are developing various solutions to address this challenge. The AI-related energy risks have gained visibility, triggering public awareness and action. Yet focusing on energy alone cannot break the cycle of increasing environmental and operational pressures. “To address AI-energy risks and unlock long-term value, companies and investors must move beyond their narrow roles in the AI value chain. They should pursue strategies that create shared value by advancing business goals while benefiting society and the environment,” notes Lauren Smart in World Economic Forum. 1. How much more daily energy does ChatGPT consume than Google Search? A. 632.2 MWh. B. 621.4 MWh. C. 610.6 MWh. D. 10.8 MWh. 2. Which of the following is an effective measure to cut AI energy use? A. Adopting energy-saving chips. B. Selecting larger models. C. Establishing more data centers. D. Encouraging firm competitions. 3. According to Lauren Smart, AI companies should adopt a mission that ________. A. generates shared benefit B. gains public recognition C. follows existing regulations D. maximizes investor’s profits 【答案】1. C 2. A 3. 故选A项。 3. 根据最后一段Lauren Smart的表述“They should pursue strategies that create shared value by advancing business goals while benefiting society and the environment.(他们应该采取既能推进商业目标又能造福社会和环境的策略,以创造共享价值)”可知,AI公司应该采取的使命是创造共享价值。故选A项。 (3) (2025-2026学年浙江省杭州学军中学高三上学期10月月考英语) Win Theatre Tokens Christmas and the New Year are a perfect time to see a show. Rising temperatures might boost crop production in cold regions but negatively impact production in warmer areas. Wheat and rice — which benefit from more CO2 in the atmosphere — could see growing output, while corn and sorghum (高粱) could see a decline with warmer temperatures. Farmers can adjust their practices to a warmer climate in four key ways: Farmers can change WHAT they plant. This could be an entirely different type of crop: corn instead of wheat. Or a different variety of a specific crop. FOUR KEY WAYS Farmers can change WHERE crops are planted. If temperatures rise in fall, crop production can shift north or southwards towards more suitable temperatures. Farmers can change HOW crops are managed. Giving crops the right amount of water, nutrition, and protection from insects and disease can help reduce some impacts of climate change. Farmers can change WHEN they plant. Farmers can plant earlier or later in the year, depending on when spring arrives. Adjusting planting dates requires no additional cost or work. A recent study by experts modeled three adaptation methods — changing WHAT, changing WHEN and changing both of them. The chart below shows their impact on the output of corn, rice, sorghum, soybean (大豆) and wheat. These three adaptation methods can already go some way to relieve climate pressures in some countries. But, of course, we don’t only care about crop production at the global level. If farmers in particular regions — especially those that are most food-insecure — cannot adapt to climate change, this is still a major problem. So there is more we can do in the future. 1. What should farmers change if they are short of money and labour? A. WHAT. B. WHERE. C. HOW. D. WHEN. 2. Which crop may benefit most if farmers plant improved varieties? A. Rice. B. Corn. C. Sorghum. D. Wheat. 3. What should be done in the future? A. To adopt the three methods. B. To help the farmers in need. C. To focus on crop production. D. To move to colder regions. D 2. A 3. 根据表格中“Adjusting planting dates requires no additional cost or work.(调整种植日期不需要额外的成本或工作。)” 故选A。 3. 文章最后一段指出“If farmers in particular regions — especially those that are most food-insecure — cannot adapt to climate change, this is still a major problem.(如果特定地区的农民(尤其是那些粮食供应最不稳定的地区农民)无法适应气候变化,那么这仍然是一个重大问题。)” (10) (2026届浙江省宁波市镇海区镇海中学高三首考模拟考试英语) Zootopia 2 is a 2025 American animated comedy film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios. But if you’re elderly, living in a low-income area or imagine without a smartphone or credit card, using these shared services becomes much more difficult. Here is a survey reporting barriers to using bike sharing. Shared mobility could be a key part of a more sustainable transportation system. But to be most effective, it needs to include everyone. For-profit shared mobility providers have largely failed to deliver on this, but various initiatives and projects are finding creative solutions to reach underserved communities. Public-Sector Intervention Governments support shared mobility options for low-income groups, expanding access while reducing private vehicle use. Programs prioritize cash payment options to include more populations. Non-Profit Innovation Organizations repurpose abandoned resources(e.g., Uber’s deserted e-bikes) into community-driven initiatives like E- Bike Libraries, offering free bikes, training, and social rides to underserved areas. How to bridge the accessibility gap? Technology Adaptation Services avoid digital exclusion by keeping phone/ email booking systems alongside apps. Simplified operations lower barriers for users. Community-Centric Design Programs partner with trusted local hubs (libraries) and focus on daily needs (grocery runs, family visits), developing social inclusion for elderly groups. Gender and Family Fairness Carsharing services add child seats, women-friendly features (e.g., cleanliness, safety), and affordable pricing to address gaps in usage. By combining economic support, grassroots innovation, and empathetic design, these efforts aim to make mobility available to everyone, reduce reliance on private vehicles, and ensure fair access for all. “You tend to plan for what you know. (9) (2025-2026学年江苏省南京市中华中学高三上学期11月期中英语) Climate change could have large impacts on food production across the world. (13) (2026届浙江省Z20名校联盟高三上学期第一次联考英语) The Future of Clean Energy in Homes Heating, cooling, and powering homes contribute significantly to global CO₂ emissions. As nations strive to reduce their carbon footprints, residential energy use — responsible for nearly 20% of energy-related emissions — poses unique challenges. Below is the 2022 breakdown of household emissions by source. ELECTRICITY  52% HEATING  28% COOLING  12% APPLIANCES  6% LIGHTING  2% Clean energy solutions for homes must be affordable, efficient, and adaptable to diverse climates. While technologies vary, here are key innovations driving the shift toward sustainability. HEAT PUMPS — Efficient Heating/Cooling Replacing gas boilers, electric heat pumps transfer warmth from air or ground, cutting heating emissions by 50%. Hybrid models, hopefully, might be able to work in sub-zero temperatures in the near future. SMART GRIDS (电网) — Dynamic Electricity Management AI-powered grids optimize energy use, storing surplus solar power during peak hours and reducing reliance on fossil-fuel backups. SOLAR PANELS — Rooftop Revolution Solar energy is the most accessible renewable source for households. Advances in photovoltaic cells have cut costs by 80% since 2010, making them viable in numerous regions. WIND TURBINES — Community Microgrids Small-scale turbines (涡轮机) in windy areas can power neighborhoods, though land use debates persist. “The scale of this transition is staggering,” says Dr. Elena Torres, a climate scientist at MIT. Residential renewables like solar and heat pumps could meet 90% of global household demand by 2050 — but only if investments triple within this decade. Recent studies show that every $1 invested in green homes today saves $5 in future climate adaptation costs. This isn’t just an environmental imperative; it’s economically inevitable. 1. (15) (2025-2026学年江苏省扬州市新华中学高三上学期1月月考英语) Shared mobility: Making travel easier for all In many big cities in Europe and the US, it might seem like we’ve achieved cheap and easy mobility for everyone — just use your phone to find shared e-bikes and electric cars. That’s why it’s so important to bring in different views in the development of mobility.” says Lina Mosshammer, founder and CEO of the Austrian mobility consulting company Point&. 1. What percentage of lower income people express concern on safety in the survey? A. 24%. B. 27%. C. 42%. D. 88%. 2. Which solution involves the idea of recycling used bikes? A. Public-Sector Intervention. B. Technology Adaptation. C. Community-Centric Design. D. Non-Profit Innovation. 3. What does Mosshammer stress to address the challenge? A. Increasing urban mobility. B. Offering affordable alternatives. C. Integrating diverse viewpoints. D. Consulting with the users beforehand. 试卷第1页,共3页 试卷第1页,共3页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $
