In recent years, more and more cities have seen discussions about whether pets
should be allowed in public areas like parks and restaurants. The following two people
share their different views on this topic.
Partrick Smith
A pet is just like a family member. It needs love.I have seen many people who
treated their pets very specially. And these pets also acted like beloved children.
So if we consider a pet as a member of the family, why shouldn't it be allowed to
enter public places? Most time, pets are even known how to save people's lives
However,I think pet owners must train their animals. They must make sure their pets
behave themselves while they are in public places. For example,a well-trained dog will
walk calmly beside its owner and not bother strangers.
Doris Pettis
I grew up with a dog and a cat.For most of the time,my parents locked the dog in a
cage.I didn't know why.Later,I found out the reason---the dog tended to jump on
visitors.
Not everyone likes the idea of living with animals.Ifyou walk into a park with a dog,

Pet owners must control their animals. If they know their pets have strange habits,
like jumping on other people, they shouldn't bring them to public places.

places. Some people, you know, are allergic(to the fur of dogs and cats.
