二、任务型阅读
Do you learn English by looking up the dictionary, remembering every grammar rule, and reviewing all the English articles you've learned? Whether these ways are helpful or not, learning English can be more fun. That is the opinion shared by three winners of the National English Speaking Competition: Wang Xinyi, Wong Tsz Chun, and Ge Jing.

While learning from textbooks, Wang believes that reading English novels and watching English movies are also important. Classic English novels like Pride and Prejudice and action movies are Wang's favorites. “From these, you can learn both authentic expressions and Western culture,” said the 16yearold Senior 2 student.

Ge agrees that it's more effective to learn English by making use of reallife contexts. The 17yearold girl has improved her English level by talking with her friends and her foreign teacher. She also takes part in English language debates(辩论) to practice. “For everyone, practice makes perfect, especially when it comes to language learning. Meanwhile, it would help us think in English,” said Ge. Such practice also makes her feel brave enough to express herself.
