They were having a meeting at that time. 2. 否定句 主语 + was /were + not + doing + 其他 (was not = wasn’t;were not = weren’t) 例:He wasn’t watching TV just now. We weren’t talking in class. 3. 一般疑问句 Was / Were + 主语 + doing + 其他? 肯定回答:Yes, 主语 + was /were. 否定回答:No, 主语 + wasn’t /weren’t. 例:— Were you doing your homework at that time? — Yes, I was. / No, I wasn’t. 4. 特殊疑问句 疑问词 + was /were + 主语 + doing + 其他? 例:What were you doing at 9 yesterday evening? Where was he waiting for you just now? 三、过去进行时常用时间状语 at that time(在那时) at this time yesterday(昨天这个时候) at + 具体时刻 + 过去时间 from 7 to 9 last night when /while 引导的时间状语从句 四、过去进行时的主要用法 表示过去某一具体时刻正在进行的动作。 例:She was sleeping at 10:00 last night. 表示过去某一段时间内一直在进行的动作。 例:They were preparing for the exam last week. 与 when /while 连用,描述一个动作发生时,另一个动作正在进行。 例:I was walking home when it began to rain. 表示过去反复、习惯性的动作(常与 always 等连用)。 例:He was always helping others when he was at school. 五、解题技巧 找过去时间点 / 时间段(at that time, at ... yesterday, when),优先用过去进行时。 看主语单复数:单数用 was,复数用 were。 牢记现在分词(doing)的变化规则,不写错形式。 区分一般过去时(动作已完成)与过去进行时(动作正在进行)。 【课堂检测】 一、语法单选 1.
