【能力提升】
阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。
As a shy student in high school, I’d always been afraid of speaking English in public. Countless times, I had practiced perfect English conversations in my mind, but when it came to the real thing, I would freeze and couldn't say anything. What if I messed up the grammar? What if my native language accent sounded too strong? My hands would get sweaty, and my voice would tremble whenever my teacher called my name in class. I envied my classmates who could chat fluently with native speakers, but I felt trapped by my own self-doubt.
One sunny afternoon, I was looking through books in a local bookstore. Golden sunlight streamed through the bookstore's large windows, casting warm light over the rows of bookshelves. It was quiet with not many customers. The soft low sound of customers turning through pages and the slight smell of freshly printed paper filled the air. While searching for an illustrated book in front of the bookshelf, I heard a tense conversation at the checkout counter. A foreign customer stood there, holding a piece of paper covered in messy Chinese handwriting. He gestured wildly, trying to explain something to the shopkeeper, who stared back in total confusion, with a polite yet helpless smile on her face. The customer's face turned red with annoyance, while the shopkeeper just shook her head, clearly lost.
My heart raced as I realized they were speaking English. Every part of me wanted to run, but my feet felt glued to the floor. A storm of thoughts exploded in my mind: What if I'm just embarrassing myself? What if I can't even understand them? I stood frozen, trapped in a mental fight between fear and the urge to help.

Today, I want to write a blog about online shopping, which has caused a wide attention nowadays. With the development of the Internet, many people are used to shopping online.
Shopping online has many benefits. Just by clicking the mouse, you can buy what you’re interested in without going outdoors. When shopping online, you can choose from more varieties of goods, whose prices are generally lower. Its disadvantages are obvious, too. Firstly, it’s very easy for you to buy goods different from the pictures you see on the Internet. Secondly, shopping online may cause people to buy goods that are not badly needed.

读后续写范文
After what felt like ages, I took a deep breath and approached them. Though my legs felt like jelly(状从反应心理), I forced myself to stand beside the counter. “Excuse me,” I said, my voice barely above a whisper(独立主格刻画人物), “Can I help?” Both the shopkeeper and the foreign customer turned to look at me. For a second, I regretted speaking at all(心理刻画). But seeing the relief flash across the customer’s face(动名词短语做主语) gave me a strange sense of calm. Carefully, I glanced at the paper with messy Chinese characters he was holding—it was a list of books, most likely written by a friend(过去分词做后置定语). I asked him, slowly and clearly, which one he wanted. As we started talking, I realized that I could understand more than I thought, the shopkeeper listening intently(独立主格刻画人物), then disappearing with orientation(现在分词做伴随动作). My fear began to fade, replaced by a growing sense of focus(现在分词做伴随动作). Every sentence I spoke built my confidence, little by little.
When the shopkeeper finally found the right volume, the customer thanked me sincerely. He gave me a warm smile and said, “You saved my day.” His words echoed in my mind like a gift. The shopkeeper also nodded gratefully and handed me a small bookmark as a thank-you. I stood there stunned(过去分词做adj,主语补语)—not because of the praise, but because I had done it(递进描写). I had spoken English in public and helped someone in need. As I walked out of the bookstore, the sun seemed even warmer than before(寓情于景). For the first time in a long while, I didn’t feel small or invisible. Instead, I felt proud(对比描写). I knew I hadn’t been perfect, but that didn’t matter. What mattered(主从) was that I’d tried—and succeeded(表从). That afternoon, I left not only with a story, but also with the courage(递进描写) to start using my voice more often(后置定语或目的状语).
