本单元的语法项目:-ing form
-ing form,也叫动词的ing形式,是由
动词原形加上ng构成,分为动名词和现在
分词。虽形式相同,但作用不同。
动名词在句中所作成分:主语、宾语、
表语、定语
现在分词在句中所作成分:表语、定语、
状语、补语
一、动名词的用法
1.形式
一般式:与谓语动词的动作同时发生
(not)doing(主动)
(not)being done(被动)
完成式:先于谓语动词的动作发生
(not)having done(主动)
(not)having been done(被动)
2.用法
Helping her is my duty.(动名词作主语)
帮助她是我的责任。
Seeing is believing.(动名词作主语)
眼见为实。
It is a waste of time playing computer
games all day.(It作形式主语,动名词作真
正主语)
整天玩电脑游戏是浪费时间的。
He is considering selling his house.
名词作宾语)
他在考虑卖掉房子。
You should practice speaking English ev-
ery day.(动名词作宾语)

the garden.(动名词作定语,修饰pool)

注意:
1.动名词作主语,常用t作形式主语,
真正主语放在后面。常用句式:
(1)It is no use/useless/no good doing...
做…是没有用的/没有好处的
(2)It is worth doing.做…是值得的
(3)It is a waste of time/money doing...
做…是浪费时间/金钱的
(4)It is no/not much fun doing..做…
没有什么意思/乐趣
2.常接动名词作宾语的动词和短语
动词:admit,,consider,,advise,.allow,per-
mit,forbid,appreciate,delay(拖延),enjoy,
escape,avoid,miss,finish,excuse,forgive,
pardon,imagine,keep,mind,practice,post-
pone,understand,risk,suggest,recommend,
resent,deny,mention,resist
短语:be busy doing
be for/against doing
be fond of doing
get down to doing
look forward to doing
pay attention to doing
stick to doing
object to doing
get/be used to doing
dream of/about doing
devote...to doing
carry on doing
insist on doing
He insisted on leaving at once.
他坚持马上离开。
3.动名词作定语的常用短语:
a writing desk写字台
a dining room餐厅
a reading room阅览室
drinking water饮用水
sleeping pills安眠药
a washing machine洗衣机
二、现在分词的用法
1.形式

几乎同时发生

完成式:先于谓语动词的动作发生

2.用法
The situation is encouraging.(现在分词

grieved.(现在分词作状语,表示时间,与
谓语动词几乎同时发生)

knew the city well..(现在分词作状语,表示
原因,且先于谓语动词发生)

城市。

在分词作宾补,补充说明rain)

I saw Tom playing football on the play-
ground just now.(现在分词作宾补,补充说
明Tom)

注意:
常接现在分词作宾补的动词有discover,.
find,hear,see,notice,imagine,feel,smell,lis-
ten to,look at,observe,watch
