知识点02 单元重点语法
1. 过去进行时的定义:表示过去某一时刻或某一段时间内正在进行的动作。
2. 基本构成: was/were + 现在分词 (doing)
主语为I/he/she/it时用was;主语为you/we/they时用were。
现在分词的构成规则:一般加-ing;以不发音e结尾去e加-ing;重读闭音节双写末尾辅音字母加-ing。
3. 典型时间标志词:
at this time yesterday / at 3:00 pm yesterday — 昨天这个时间/昨天下午3点
from 9 to 11 this morning — 今天上午9点到11点
the whole morning / all day yesterday — 整个上午/昨天一整天
when + 一般过去时从句 — 表示“正在做某事时突然发生另一件事”
while + 过去进行时从句 — 表示两个动作同时进行
4. 与一般过去时的区别:
过去进行时强调过去某一时刻“正在做”(未完成)
一般过去时强调过去“做了”(已完成)
对比:I was writing a report at 8 pm. (晚上8点正在写) / I wrote a report yesterday. (昨天写了报告)
5. 否定句和疑问句结构:
否定句:was/were + not + doing (wasn't/weren't)
一般疑问句:Was/Were + 主语 + doing?
特殊疑问句:特殊疑问词 + was/were + 主语 + doing?
6. 易错点提醒:
过去进行时不能与表示具体次数或完成含义的时间状语连用(如three times)。
when后面常接一般过去时,主句用过去进行时表示“正在做……时突然……”。
while后面常接过去进行时,表示两个动作同时发生。
有些动词(如know, believe, want)通常不用进行时。
7. 常见句型示例:

口诀:“过去进行时,was/were加doing;when后面跟过去时,主句进行正当时;while从句进行时,主句一般过去时。”
注意:when后面接一般过去时,主句用过去进行时;while后面接过去进行时,主句用一般过去时。
