If you’re bored and miss the wonderful films, here are 4 for you to choose from.
The Glorias
Glorias Steinem’s life and work are too much for one actress. Already this year, the wonderful activist and journalist has been played by Rose Byme in the Mrs. America TV series. And now, she is played at different ages by Julianne Moore, Alicia Vikander, Wlu Wilson and Ryan Kiera Armstrong. There are even fantasy scenes in which the various Glorias meet and chat about their life and work.
Kaillionaire
Kajillionaire is the first heartfelt comedy from Miranda July. Evan Rachel Wood plays a twenty-aged woman who has been raised by her parents. Her parents are played by Richard Jenkins and Debra Winger to be a small cheat in Los Angeles. The family devote their days to cheating and stealing, but are still stuck in poverty. Things change when the woman makes a new friend played by Gina Rodriguez.
Mula
Due to its postponed release, it becomes the first film to go straight to the new streaming channel, but it’s a pity that it won’t be on in the cinema. Mulan will have some huge battle scenes and mountain scenery. A Chinese girl named Yifei Liu disguises (假扮) herself as a man and proves herself in the army. The film shows women’s extraordinary talent and power.
Tenet
If any film is going to attract crowds back to cinemas, it’s Christopher Nolans Tenet, a science-fiction film with a high concept and a higher budget. John David Washington stars as the hero, a secret agent who learns about mysterious weapons that move time backwards. He takes up a mission to find the man responsible for a crime, a dealer played by Kenneth Branagh.
21. In which film is the hero or heroine played by different actors or actresses?
A. The Glorias B. Kaiillionaire. C. Mulan D. Tenet.
22. What sets Mulan apart from other films?
A. It is adapted from a novel. B. It is only shown on the Internet.

23. What’s the target of the hero in Tenet?
A Finding the mysterious weapons. B Looking for some clues for a case.
C. Finding the suspect of a crime. D. Making a budget for a dealer.

In a wheat field in France, a cat meets a black-bellied hamster (仓鼠). Too far from her burrow (洞穴) to run for shelter, the wild hamster rises on her back legs to face her enemy. The cat backs away. “They’re afraid of nothing,” says Alexandre Lehmann, a biologist who has worked with these wild hamsters for the past 12 years. “They fight against cats and dogs and even farmers. They try to fight against tractors.” It’s a good thing that the black-bellied hamster won’t go down with a fight. Because in France, where only 500 to 1,000 remain in the wild, they are in a fight for their lives.
At the Stork and Otter Re-introduction Centre in Alsace, Lehmann and his colleagues breed captive hamsters and set the young hamsters free into the wild. But raising black-bellied hamsters isn’t exactly easy. Remember, they have attitude. Forget humans — they don’t even like each other. “You have to make sure the male and female don’t kill each other,” Lehmann says.
Black-bellied hamsters might think of themselves as tough guys. But to a fox or an eagle, they’re just a four-legged snack. To survive, hamsters need to be set into a field with lots of leafy hiding places. That’s a problem in Alsace, where most farmers plant corn. The corn hasn’t sprouted (发芽) in early spring, when hamsters come out of their burrows from hibernation (冬眠). In the bare fields the hamsters are easy targets for their enemies.
Some older farmers don’t want hamsters in their fields because of their reputation as crop-chewing pests. But most are willing to help, especially since the French government will pay farmers to grow early-sprouting crops such as alfalfa and winter wheat and allow hamsters to be set free on their lands. It’s a way to protect not only the hamsters, but also other small animals in leafy fields.
24. By saying “It’s a good thing that the black-bellied hamster won’t go down with a fight.” in Paragraph 1, the author means “____________.”
A. The black-bellied hamsters are born fighters
B. The number of hamsters won’t go down quickly
C. It’s good for the increase of hamsters’ population
D. It’s a quite great experience to see hamsters fighting
25. Why is it hard to raise black-bellied hamsters?
A. They will run into the wild. B. They are not fond of humans.
C. The male and female won’t live in peace. D. The male can’t understand the female’s attitude.
26. What problem do hamsters trying to survive in Alsace have?
A. Their burrows are always taken by foxes.
B. They are unable to feed themselves on corn.
C. Their hibernation is disturbed frequently.
D. They are exposed to their enemies in early spring.
27. Those farmers who are willing to help hamsters will ____________.
A. plant more corn B. try to get rid of pests
C. grow plants that shoot early D. separate them from other animals

On March 24, 2016 the great Dutch footballer Johan Cruyff passed away after a long battle with cancer, who was widely regarded as one of the greatest players in football history and the three-time European Footballer of the Year
“Words can hardly be found for this huge loss,” the Dutch FA said. King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands said,“The country has lost a unique and brilliant sportsman.” Gary Lineker, once in the Barcelona club, added, “Football has lost a man who did more to make the beautiful game more beautiful than anyone in history.”
The Netherlands’ friendly match against France on Friday will stop after 14 minutes for a minute-long silence in honour of Cruyff, who wore No. 14 as a player.
Johan Cruyff was born in April in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Growing up near the stadium of AFC Ajax, the local soccer club, the youngster caught the attention of a team official and joined the youth division at age 10. His mother also began working for the club two years later, after her husband died of a heart attack.
Cruyff scored 369 goals in 661 appearances for six different clubs. With his precise speed, technique and goal-scoring ability, Cruyff set new standards as a player.
He eventually coached the Catalan club to a first European Cup champion in 1992. Besides, Barcelona won four continuous La Liga titles from 1991 to 1994 under Cruyff, who remained influential at the club even after he abdicated his post in 1995.
Although Johan Cruyff gave up smoking after his heart surgery, Cruyff was diagnosed with lung cancer. He died peacefully in Barcelona aged 68. His unique and profound views for football and life still inspire whoever loves football: “Playing football is very simple, but playing simple football is the hardest thing there is.” “I don’t believe in God. In Spain, all 22 players cross themselves. If it works, the game is always going to be of the same score.” “Quality without results is pointless. Results without quality are boring.”
28. What is the passage mainly about?
A. The different comments about Cruyff. B. The causes of Cruyff’s death.
C. The legend of a great Dutch footballer. D. The different clubs of the Dutch FA.
29. Who might first discover Cruyff’s talent?
A. An official of the Dutch FA. B. A team official in Club AFC Ajax.
C. Gary Lineker in the Barcelona club. D. King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands.
30. What does the underlined word “abdicated” in Paragraph 6 probably mean?
A. Gave up. B. Took up. C. Applied for. D. Stuck to.
31. What can we learn about Cruyff from the last paragraph?
A. He died in great pain. B. He had deep faith in God.
C. He didn’t take match results seriously. D. He had his own understanding of football.
D
There’s a popular saying that if only one voice is allowed to exist, then that one voice must be a lie. This quote couldn’t be more relevant now, as many businesses and platforms are using shady practices to silence negative feedback and ensure only those voices benefiting them remain. This practice is so-called “artificial review boosting”, and has been influencing objectivity in reviews ever since.
Its origin dates back to the 20th century when businesses would hand out free samples to obtain a better reputation. However, the practice rises to a new extreme with the emergence of e-commerce platforms. Many online businesses do whatever it takes to ensure high-rating scores, either through giving bonuses and rewards to customers who leave a good review or through bothering and threatening those who leave a negative one. This behavior is not only morally corrupt but also illegal, and it is absurd that many consumers feel they can’t leave negative feedback out of fear that businesses will cause trouble.
It’s apparent that this problem is getting out of hand, but how can we fix it? Regulator intervention would certainly help. There should be a tougher crackdown on illegal practices, and e-commerce platforms should be required to protect the privacy of their users. Nevertheless, this is just a small part of the changes needed, as the rating system as a whole needs restructuring. That’s because this system rewards dishonest sellers rather than those selling quality products, and e-commerce platforms, with their profits unaffected, turn a blind eye to its faults.
Against all odds, honest feedback has persisted and people who voice their true opinions still exist, but they are becoming rarer. There’s an old saying that if you put a frog in boiling water, it will leap out, but if you cook the frog slowly in warm water, it won’t notice being cooked alive. We consumers are just like frogs — it’s easy for us to fight together against terrible acts robbing our freedom, but we often ignore when the same freedom is gradually taken from us. There will be no grand coup de grace (致命一击) that ends honest feedback. Companies will just let it fade away slowly but we mustn’t allow that to happen because consumers play a more important role in keeping honest feedback.
32. What is the main issue discussed in the text?
A. The illegal practices of consumers.
B. The history of e-commerce platforms.
C. The benefits of free samples for businesses.
D. The decline of honest feedback due to artificial review boosting.
33. How do businesses ensure high-rating scores according to the text?
A. By trying hard to improve the quality of their products greatly.
B. By working closely with related official regulators effectively.
C. By planning to restructure the whole rating system completely.
D. By rewarding positive reviews and threatening negative reviewers.
34. What does the frog analogy imply about consumers?
A. They are as adaptable as frogs in hot water.
B. They are easily frightened by sudden threats.
C. They fail to notice the gradual loss of their freedom.
D. They should fight against terrible acts immediately.
35. What does the author suggest about the current rating system?
A. It effectively promotes honest sellers.
B. It prioritizes dishonest sellers over honest ones.
C. It has been improved by e-commerce platforms.
D. It is unaffected by consumer feedback and product quality.
第二节(共5小题;每小题2.5分,满分12.5分)
阅读下面短文,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。
There are so many things we do in our daily lives that have become a “habit”. 36 How you answer the phone is a habit. The way you sit in the car when you drive is a habit. Have you ever tried to change the way you do something, after you’ve done it in a certain way for so long? It’s not very easy to do. The minute your mind drifts to something else, you go right back to the old way of doing things. 37 It’s a way of doing things that has become routine or commonplace. To change an existing habit or form a new one can be a tedious task.
Let’s pick something fairly easy to start with, like spending 15 minutes in the morning reading the Bible. If you want to turn something into a habit that you do everyday, you have to WANT to do it. 38 Make a firm decision to do this on a daily basis.
Imprint it in your mind. Write several notes to yourself and put them in places where you will see them. By the alarm clock, on the bathroom mirror, on the refrigerator door, in your briefcase, and under your car keys are good places to start.
After the newness wears off, then you will have to remind yourself, “Hey, I forgot to….” Keep using the notes if you have to. 39 Some people say it will take over a month to solidify it and make it something you will do without having to think about it. I tend to agree with the last statement. Two to three weeks will help you to remember, but thirty days or more will make it a part of your everyday routine. 40
A. What is a “habit” anyway?
B. Is doing things in an old way good?
C. Brushing your teeth is a habit.
D. Forming a bad habit is easy.
E. It takes 16 to 21 times of repeating a task to make it a habit.
F. If you don’t, you will find a way to do everything but that.
G. That’s something you won’t necessarily have to think about before you do it--habit.

67.阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。
My next-door neighbor, Pat, hadn’t said a friendly word since the day we moved in. Pat lived alone and worked from home, with visits from his teenage son and daughter. I could understand his need for privacy and my family had tried our best not to bother him. However, things got worse that summer morning.
At that time, homeowners in our neighbourhood were putting up fences to contain their pets and kids. We offered Pat the opportunity to share the cost of a fence between our yards. He first agreed, but later became unwilling. Finally, we just had the fence put up ourselves.
On that particular morning, I had been gardening out front when Pat threw a large doggy waste from his lawn onto ours. Frustrated, I walked right over and tried to explain, “Our dog is a Chihuahua! There is no way he did that.”
But Pat wouldn’t listen and claimed that our dog did it. “Keep your dog and your kids off my yard, and you get off my yard too,” he shouted.
My frustration turned to anger. I had never been treated with such disrespect by someone, especially a neighbor. I stormed in my front door and called my husband, Kevin, at work. His advice: Stay away from Pat.
And so I did. Pat returned the favor. We tried to avoid any kind of unexpected run-in with each other. Weeks passed in such awkwardness until one morning, when I saw Pat tending vegetables in his yard. Suddenly, I felt a twinge of guilt. I was no more a model neighbor than Pat was! I’d been hurt by his words; maybe he’d been hurt by mine. I felt ready to do something. But how should I take a neighborly step forward? I turned to Kevin for advice, who assured me that an opportunity would present itself if my heart was truly willing.
Then one day, I noticed something moving in the backyard vegetable garden. It was an orange kitten (小猫). I had raised kittens for years and I loved doing it. Nothing melted my heart like a sweet, innocent kitten.
注意:(1)续写词数应为150个左右;
(2)请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。
Just then, a knock sounded at the front door.
