Imagine playing a video game where you can actually feel the weight of a sword (剑) in your hand. This isn’t science fiction. It’s the use of haptic technology—bringing your sense of touch into the digital world.
So what does “haptic” mean? It refers to our sense of touch, instead of sight (视觉). “Haptic technology makes our sense of touch active by using vibrations (震动) or forces, allowing users to ‘feel’ digital objects,” says Van Thanh Huynh, a haptic expert.
The most advanced haptic inventions are gloves or controllers. They are packed with special machines to create vibrations and pressure. This can make you feel like you’re pushing or holding an object. And when this haptic technology is used with virtual reality (虚拟现实) glasses and headphones, it feels like a complete digital reality.
But haptic technology isn’t just for fun. It is helping train doctors. Haptics lets doctors practise the same operation over and over again, without the risk of harming a real patient. The technology even helps doctors work remotely.
Van wants haptic technology to make learning easier for students. “As the technology develops, we’ll see more haptic tools that let students learn science physically,” he says. “Imagine feeling ancient carvings (雕刻) in a virtual museum. Haptic technology makes you feel like they’re right next to you.”
So, the next time you pick up a game controller, remember—you’re not just seeing and hearing a new world. Thanks to haptic technology, you’re feeling it, too!
4. What does the underlined word “haptic” mean?
A. 触觉的 B. 听觉的 C. 味觉的 D. 嗅觉的
5. How does haptic technology help in the medical field?
A. It makes surgeries cheaper. B. It replaces the real doctors.
C. It reduces the risks of surgeries. D. It makes doctors do surgeries faster.
6. What does Van Thanh Huynh think of haptic technology?
A. Hopeful. B. Uncertain. C. Doubtful. D. Worried.
7. What is the main idea of this passage?
A. The way virtual reality devices work with video games.
B. The method doctors use to perform surgeries in far places.
C. The introduction, meaning, uses and future of haptic technology.
D. The discussion of Van Thanh Huynh’s contributions to digital technology development.
【答案】4. A 5. C 6. A 7. C
【解析】

Do you know that your brain may become especially creative when you are half-awake? A recent study suggests that people who experience light sleep may be better at solving problems afterward.
The idea is not new. It is reported that the famous inventor Thomas Edison used to take short naps while holding heavy balls in his hands. As he began to fall asleep, the balls would drop and wake him up. This allowed him to come up with creative ideas before falling into deep sleep and forgetting them.
To test whether this method works for others, researchers invited 103 healthy people to their lab. Participants (参与者) were first asked to solve a difficult math problem. Then they were given a 20-minute break in a dark, quiet room. They sat in chairs holding a light bottle, just like Edison did. During the break, the researchers checked their brainwaves.
After the break, the participants returned to the math problem. The results showed that those who entered a light sleep stage called N1 were about 2.7 times more likely to solve the problem than those who stayed awake. Interestingly, those who entered a deeper sleep stage called N2 did worse—they were about 5.9 times less likely to solve it than the N1 group.
The researchers believe this light sleep stage may help unlock creative thinking. However, more studies are needed to fully understand the connection between N1 and creativity. The findings suggest that it might be possible to train ourselves to enter this creative state on purpose.
So maybe Edison knew something. But don’t rush to copy his habit—he also believed that too much sleep was a waste of time.
8. Why does the writer mention Thomas Edison in Paragraph 2?
A. To tell the importance of sleep. B. To explain why Edison slept well.
C. To introduce Edison’s inventions. D. To show how researchers got their idea.
9. Paragraph 3 is mainly about ________.
A. why the study was designed B. how the study was carried out
C. what result the study showed D. what the future study is mainly about
10. What can we learn from the passage?
A. Holding a ball while sleeping helps our brain work better.
B. People can learn some skills when they are half awake.
C. A light sleep may make people creative and be better problem solvers.
D. Staying awake for a long time will make people forget things easily.
11. What is the writer’s main purpose in writing this passage?
A. To encourage people to sleep less in the daytime.
B. To discuss the importance of a deep sleep.
C. To compare different kinds of sleep.
D. To prove the value of a light sleep.
【答案】8. D 9. B 10. C 11. D

“Museum fever” swept across China during the National Day holiday in 2025. More than 120 million people visited museums and cultural places. 35% of them were teens. AI and digital tools have turned museums into interactive (互动式) playgrounds. Here, young visitors can touch history and feel new ideas.
At Xi’an Museum, a digital art show called West Expo Treasures welcomed 82,000 young visitors in just 7 days. By waving a hand, they could make ancient bells ring and see a golden dragon “fly” out of the exhibits (展览) into their hands. Here, teens stayed for 47 minutes — twice as long as at normal exhibits. “It’s like time travel. Now I really understand why Tang Dynasty culture was so great.” said Li Jiawei, 15.
Learning through play is popular in many museums. At Shanghai Museum’s “Archaeology (考古) Palace”, 56,000 teens tried digging for fossils (化石) and used microscopes (显微镜) to look at old objects. Normally, each teen completed 3 VR restoration (修复) tasks. 92% said they learned more than in history class. Yu Ruoxuan, a French-Chinese teen, said, “These experiences make history feel real, which is different from the learning in books.”
In Hangzhou’s Huatan Village, college students helped build a VR museum. There, 28 local teens used AI to design 120 exhibits in Song Dynasty style. The museum got 3,000 visits in 5 days.
“We used tech to share our village’s history with everyone!” said Chen Yu, a 16-year-old local boy.
This National Day showed that “museum fever” is a cultural awakening. Technology showed teens more than exhibits — it showed them a deep sense of cultural belonging and pride. Powered by these immersive (沉浸式) experiences, Chinese youth are now ready to carry their culture into the future.
12. Why do museums become “interactive playgrounds” for teens?
A. They use high-tech tools. B. They offer more exhibits.
C. They put in more money. D. They provide more tasks.
13. What can we infer from the underlined sentence in Paragraph 2?
A. Normal exhibits are not popular.
B. Teens want to fly the golden dragon.
C. Teens really dislike the time-travel exhibit.
D. Interactive exhibits are great fun for teens.
14. How do the teens’ roles change in paragraphs 2-4?
A. learners→inventors→sharers B. viewers→helpers→planners
C. listeners→players→leaders D. visitors→doers→designers
15. Which would be the best title for the text?
A. Museum Fever on Holidays B. Tech Shapes Future Culture
C. Digital Museums Win Teens D. Teens Like Museums More

Jiang Tiehong is a 57-year-old dance teacher with silver hair. Not long ago, a video of him performing a Mongolian folk dance with his students quickly spread all over the Internet.
In the video, Jiang wore casual (休闲的) clothes, looking a bit heavy, but his movements were both powerful and relaxed. “You don’t need to be young or look perfect. True dancing comes from life experiences,” he explained. “The authenticity (真实感) touches people most. That is why so many people like the video.”
Jiang practices dance every day and never stops. “Dance needs muscle (肌肉) memory. Anyone who dances should feel it every day. That’s how it becomes part of you,” he says.
As a teacher, he works hard to keep traditional ethnic (民族的) dances alive. He teaches many kinds of dances, such as those of Tibetan, Uygur, and Mongolian peoples. He not only teaches steps but also encourages students to express stories and emotions through dance. He reminds students that developing a skill requires time and effort — just like a young bird that must practise its flying skills hard before flying freely in the sky. Over the years, he has won many awards and has helped his students succeed.
He believes tradition is the root, but innovation (创新) is the flower. By combining both, ethnic dance can stay active and beautiful. With his efforts, ethnic dance has developed in new ways. It keeps the important parts of traditional dances and makes itself more exciting with modern stage technology.

【解析】
【导语】本文主要讲述了姜铁红作为一名民族舞老师,坚持传承与创新民族舞蹈,并以身作则刻苦练习,致力于让民族舞焕发新生的故事。
【41题详解】
第二段提到“In the video, Jiang wore casual clothes, looking a bit heavy, but his movements were both powerful and relaxed.”用although/though引导让步状语从句,替换原句的but;powerful对应名词power,表示“力量”。
【42题详解】
第四段提到“just like a young bird that must practise its flying skills hard before flying freely in the sky.”,just like“就像……”和compare...to...“把……比作……”同义,描述客观、习惯性的行为(姜老师常做的比喻)用一般现在时,主语是第三人称单数compares;直接提取原文freely,表示“自由地飞翔”。
【43题详解】
第五段提到“He believes tradition is the root, but innovation is the flower. By combining both, ethnic dance can stay active and beautiful.”,直接提取原文active“有活力的”和tradition“传统”,对应“结合传统与创新,让民族舞保持活力与美感”。
【44题详解】
对人物评价需要通读全文,提取人物的核心品质。第三段“Jiang practices dance every day and never stops.”和第四段“As a teacher, he works hard to keep traditional ethnic dances alive.”以及第四段“He not only teaches steps but also encourages students to express stories and emotions...”分别体现了他勤奋负责、专注且学识渊博、有文化传承精神。

“Dance is not just an art form, but the memory of a people,” Jiang said.
