Innovative(创新的) thinking is the key to developing creative and exciting ways to overcome challenges. Here are some ways for you to improve your innovative thinking.
Develop a meaningful mission(任务).
A mission statement that matters will introduce a new sense of meaning to your work. When you feel that your work has value, you’ll spend more time and energy on it. A mission statement puts something on that paper for you to work from, which can make the brainstorming go on more easily.
Question everything.
Ask questions about everything, even the things you think you have already known. You may discover a new way to approach something you believed before. Try looking at something you do each day. Ask yourself who else does it and how they might do with it differently. There are many ways to finish the tasks, and if you think that yours is the best, you’re taking a big risk.
Get first-hand knowledge.
“Book learning” is great, but it will only take you so far. Only by getting out into the field and getting first-hand knowledge of the way things really work can you hope to understand how to improve on things within that field. No two people see the world in exactly the same way. By experiencing something for yourself, you will bring your own thoughts to the table. As such, you might be able to watch something no one else has made yet, and it may lead you toward new innovations within the field.
____________
Get inspiration(灵感) from as many places as possible. New ideas won’t necessarily appear during the time you’ve set for inspiration. They often come when you least expect them to do so, and may even come from places you’d never expect. Observe(观察) your teammates’ questions and ideas, listen to others and hear what they say about the problems you’re working on. This exchange of knowledge can lead to new ideas.
