Can you think of one thing that you have tried hard but didn't succeed in the end?
Think about a failure in your life. Answer the questions below.
What happened?
E.g. Last month, I tried out for the school speech contest.
What was the pain for you?
E.g. I forgot my lines during the tryout and froze on stage.
How did it make you feel?
E.g. I felt so embarrassed that I wanted to cry.
Step 1:
What did you do as a result?
E.g. My mom encouraged me to practice speaking in front
of the mirror every day.
How did you grow or change after it?
E.g. I learned to practice more calmly, and now I feel more
confident speaking in front of others.
Step 2:
Write your passage with the help of the questions.
Step 3:
Check. Did you:
answer all the questions in Step 1?
use the words and expressions from the reading passage?
give your opinion about failure?
Step 4:
Share your passage with the class.
