Larry was always silent and alone in class,
His teacher noticed this and met him after class,
Larry was a little】
nervous and said,"I have
to face some very
difficult and terrible things
every day and they make me feel stressed and
upset.This makes me so disappointed in myself
that I don't even feel like talking to anyone.
These words made the teacher worried.He
thought for a while and asked,"Would you like
some lemonade?"Larry nodded.The teacher then
prepared the drink.He added more salt but less
sugar in the drink deliberately,and then brought
it to Larry.
As soon as larry tasted it,he gave a strange
look.Seeing this,the teacher asked,"You didn't
like it?"Larry replied,"Oh,no,it's just...there is
too much salt in it..”
The teacher stood up and said,"Oh,sorry.
I'll throw it away and make you another glass.
But Larry felt it was a pity to throw it away,so
he stopped the teacher and said,"Sir,if we put
more sugar in it,it will be perfectly fine to
drink.”
His reply made the teacher smile and he said,
"This is what I wanted to hear.Now,compare this
situation with your life.To make the taste of the
lemonade better,we can add more sugar to the drink
rather than remove()the salt from it.Likewise,
we cannot take away terrible things that have already
happened in our life,but we can make our life better
by adding more sweetness of a good experience.If you
keep on crying over your past,neither your present
nor future will be bright.
Hearing these words,Larry smiled at the
teacher and nodded in agreement.
