August Pullman, called Auggie, is the hero of the story Wonder. His growth is full of challenges and moving moments.
Auggie was born with a serious facial difference. Because of this, he had to stay at home and was taught by his mom. But when he was 10, his parents finally decided to send him to a real school, hoping he'd have a normal life experience.
At first, going to school was really hard for Auggie. Other kids looked at him curiously and some were not nice, whispering behind his back. He felt like an outsider. But Auggie was brave. He didn't let the bad things get him down. He found true friends like Summer and Jack. They saw the kind and smart boy inside Auggie, not just his face. Just as the saying goes,"Don't judge a book by its cover."
As time went by, Auggie actively took part in different school activities with his friends. He showed everyone that he was just like them. By the end of the school year, Auggie changed a lot.
