本单元话题为谈论场所的方位。能用本单元重点句型 “There is ...” 和 “Is there...?” 进行简单的对话。本课时为阅读教学,在设计活动中需让学生了解和掌握阅读技能 ——怎样获取关键词。也需让学生懂得如何看平面图、填平面图、说平面图,让学生在活动中主动观察、积极发现,提高空间思维能力和语言表达能力。

设计意图:帮助学生进一步理解文本,解决本课难点。也让学生学会如何看平面地图。用学生位置训练方位词短语,加固学生对on the left, on the right 的理解,并将其运用于生活中。教学中渗透情感教育,让学生深有体会。
